Plant Based New Jersey
We truly appreciate the value of a supportive community of like minded people who are willing to help, support, and encourage each other to be our best selves. The value and importance of community is exactly why we are happy to dedicate so much of our time and energy, including one Saturday every month, to cultivating, engaging, and growing our local plant-based community here in central NJ. We all love these potlucks for the people, and the low-to-no barrier of entry. Anyone willing to stop at a grocery store, and pickup 4 organic apples, a bunch of bananas, or a few of your favorite oranges, is welcome to join us for a healthy whole food plant-based feast with some of the most inspirational and supportive people you will ever meet. We hope to see you soon!! The Organizers **How it works** This is a community based Meetup. We get together for potluck meals, restaurant dinners, seminars, movie screenings, etc. At our potlucks, each member brings a whole food plant-based dish (described below) to share with others in a beautiful, welcoming and supportive environment. We are a good mix of long time plant-based folks, and newcomers who are just starting their transitions. No matter where you are on your own personal journey, you are always welcome! If you don't know what a whole food plant-based compliant dish is, then just bring some fresh fruit, grape tomatoes, peeled carrots, sliced peppers, or any another fresh fruit or vegetable. There is no membership fee, the potlucks are always free. **What is a Whole Food Plant-Based Compliant Dish?** We want to create a safe and supportive environment for both newcomers and long timers. While there is some room for other items on the fringe of a Whole Food Plant-Based diets, for this group we focus on sticking with the healthiest foods at the core of every plant-based whole food diet. That means **all dishes must be vegan (excluding any meat, dairy, or other animal products) and free of any added oil, salt, sugar, syrup, honey, and/or other sweeteners or processed food.** These standards are important to us AND we want you to come and enjoy yourself too! So, please do not let them turn you off or intimidate you. When you come to your first potluck we promise that you will fit right in, enjoy yourself, eat delicious food, and make some friends. That's what we're all here for!

Awesome Adventurers Travel Network

If you love to get out and see the world like I do, whether it's a weekend camping trip to the Catskills or a week long vacation to Italy or a visit to one of our many great National Parks, this group is a great place to meet some friends and plan your next Awesome Adventure! We will meet once a month or so at a local pub to get to know one another and discuss ideas for our next trip. How about a fall camping trip to see the foliage and hike up to Old Rag in Shenandoah or a summer trip to visit the granite bluffs along the coast of Acadia and have some lobster? What about a sailing live aboard in the Bahamas or a scuba trip to The Great Barrier Reef? Perhaps running with the bulls in Spain or an African safari are on your bucket list? Maybe a snorkel and rain forest adventure in Belize to see the world famous Blue Hole? These are a few ideas for some Awesome Adventures in the coming months. I look forward to making some new friends and sharing some great ideas you might have about planning our next Awesome Adventure!

DEF CON 610

Easton, PA

DEF CON 610

DC610 Started as a local security meetup in January of 2017. The group quickly gained momentum and it was thought that becoming an official DEFCON group would further our goals of hacking the whole friggin planet. The group has a leadership team comprised of four of the originating members that share in the organization responsibilities such as scheduling meetings, recruiting new members, formulating talk subjects, buying the next round, etc.. We boast a total membership of 100+ members on our Meetup site, with a regular attendance of around 20 people per session buuuuut I think we can do better. :)

Areas of Interest:

Social Engineering, Cryptology, Crypto Currency, building CTFs., hacking non-standard hardware. We tend to draw people from all walks of technology, from developers to sysadmins. Our base represents a wide range range of interest and skill and we like it that way.

Current Projects:

We are currently planning our first city neighborhood wide “Pub Crawl” CTF. We'll be configuring a number of access points/raspberry pi's that will be left at several locations in a 10 block (walkable) radius in Downtown Easton. We are developing a list of flags are in different restaurants around town and participants will have to hunt them down. Another project that gave us some lolz during a recent meetup, was the construction and configuration of a Raspberry Pi based "PwniePi", a CTF sewn into a My Little Pony doll. The tech was soldered together by kids all under the age of 14.

Our goal is simple, Tribal Knowledge share. We strive to educate and enlighten no matter the background. This group is family friendly and we encourage anyone with curiosity about anything to show up and hack the planet with us.

Welcome to DEF CON 610.
