Senior Friends 60+

Albuquerque, NM

Senior Friends 60+
This group is for anyone 60+ who wants to have fun and make new friends. \ PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST PROVIDE A RELATIVELY RECENT AND RECOGNIZABLE PICTURE OF YOURSELF TO JOIN. Some of the things I would like to do are eating out, movies, theater, road trips, game nights, coffee, museums, walks, and whatever other fun things we can think of. A few simple rules: 1\. Please be respectful of everyone in the group\. Keep your RSVP's up to date\. If you sign up for an event and later find that you can't go\, change your RSVP to "No" as soon as possible\. This will allow others to sign up if space is limited\, and will keep us from waiting for you if you are not coming\. \*\*\* NOTE: Two 'no-shows 'for events with limited space over a one year period will result in your being removed from the group. \*\*\* 2. ***Please post a recognizable picture of yourself on your profile (not just your pet, flowers, scenery, etc). This is so we can recognize you at events.*** 3\. We want everyone to feel welcome and don't want any arguments and drama\. This means be cognizant of whether expressing your political views will be viewed as judgemental or condemning\. In other words please be civil in your discourse with others\. The purpose of the group is to enjoy what we all have in common and experience something new together\. 4\. Be friendly and welcoming to newcomers\. 5\. This group is for making friends IN PERSON\. Do NOT private message people that you don't know \(except for messaging the organizers\, of course\, you can message us about meetup things\)\. If you receive unwanted messages\, please let me know and I will deal with it\. I want everyone to feel comfortable in this group\. 6\. If the meetup is full and you can't get a spot\, you can join the waitlist\, in case someone cancels\. If you still can't get a spot\, you are NOT allowed to "crash" the event\. Only those that are on the "going" list can attend\. Looking forward to meeting you and having fun together! \

Rosicrucians in New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM

Rosicrucians in New Mexico
Greetings and Blessings! New Mexico is an amazing "Land of Enchantment". The spiritual energy, eclectic communities, diverse population, and desert sky attract many people on their personal journey and quest for understanding themselves and the universe. There are Rosicrucians in all areas of New Mexico and some very remote. Please feel inspired to contact us if you are living in, moving to or just visiting. Please invite new people to our monthly meetings that would be interested in Rosicrucian topics, mysticism, hermetic teachings of Ancient Egypt and Greece, alchemy, Spirit, Hermetism, Kabbalah, natural law, ancient history and culture, philosophy, etc....and forward this meetup group to those who might be interested. We continue the meetings to bring conscious minds and open hearts together. Rosicrucian teachings are philosophical and do not necessarily follow any organized religion. The rose cross (Rose-Croix) is an ancient symbol that represents each of us in body and soul. Regular monthly presentations are held the third Sunday at 2pm of each month as posted in the Rosicrucians in New Mexico Meetup site. The meetings are held at the Rosicrucian Learning Center, 1803 Louisiana NE, Suite B-1, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87110. As usual, all open sessions are offered at no cost. New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors Meetup

Albuquerque, NM

New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors Meetup

This Meetup group is sponsored by New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors (NMVFO), a service oriented, all volunteer, non-political organization dedicated to improving trails and outdoor facilities throughout the state.

By joining this Meetup group you will be able to volunteer for projects and participate in social events, training opportunities, and other NMVFO activities. (You can also join these activities without joining the Meetup group, by directly visiting nmvfo.org)

Go to www.nmvfo.org/projects for a list of this year's upcoming projects, or the NMVFO Volunteer FAQ page http://nmvfo.org/volunteer/volunteer-faq for more information.  (*You will have to copy/paste any links or email addresses, as you cannot click on addresses from Meetup text.*)

NMVFO has been helping maintain trails and public lands for over 30 years. Work projects range from one day in nearby locations to weekend camping projects or even backpack work trips to pristine wilderness, all over the state. Working with forest rangers and other public lands representatives, NMVFO provides strong leadership, training, tools and meals on projects. Note that a parent or guardian must accompany all minors, and pets are not permitted on any project.

Working in the outdoors, keeping public lands accessible and enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded people are some of the benefits of participation on the NMVFO projects. We have fun and lots of laughter as we learn about trail work and new outdoor places. Above all we feel good about doing satisfying work with worthwhile results.

***In this Meetup it will be extremely important to show up for projects to which you have committed. Advance food is purchased, tools are provided and land management agencies are advised of the number of volunteers for the project. YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO ATTEND. Please adhere to this requirement for work project participation with NMVFO Meetup. (Social events, presentations, trainings and other events will operate like regular Meetup events unless otherwise noted.)***

It is also required that you sign up on the project description page on the NMVFO website as soon as you RSVP for a project on Meetup (you will not be considered a part of the project until you do so). This allows the Project Leader to keep a count of attendees in order to coordinate with land representatives and cooks who buy food on a budget; arrange tools; and to be able  to contact participants in a timely, efficient way.

Since 1982, New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors (NMVFO) have been recruiting people like you to volunteer for service projects that benefit trails and other recreational sites in national and state parks, forests, monuments, wilderness areas, city open space areas, and other public lands. The projects scheduled this year help maintain these valuable resources. NMVFO is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer nonprofit organization.
