• Continually RSVPing yes to an event then not attending. This means others that want to attend are denied a place when the event becomes full. If you have three or more “no shows” then you will be removed from the group, and will have to rejoin again.

• Sending overly personal messages, sleazy attempts to flirt – ‘You look lovely in your profile picture’ – you know the kind of thing.

• Verbal, physical, sexual, discriminatory, visual etc. harassment of organizers, event hosts, members, guests and the general public. This includes online harassment via Meetup messages, WhatsApp, SMS etc.

What happens if you break the rules?

First offense - Member is given a verbal or written warning.

Second offense - Member is banned from the group.

Please note that this is subject to the discretion of the organizers. In some circumstances, offending members will be banned without warning and if a crime is being/has been committed, the police will be informed.

If you feel that others in the group are breaking these rules (for example, spamming your inbox or sending you private messages that make you feel uncomfortable), please notify one of our organizers immediately, your report will be kept anonymous.

The New Horizons Network is a job search network support group. Founded in 2003, it is committed to assisting people who are pursuing employment with Rochester, N.Y. area companies and beyond, as well as those interested in Self-employment or retirement alternatives.

It provides a forum for assistance in the areas of Transition Skills [resume and elevator speech preparation, interviewing, networking, social media, etc] as well as health benefits and insurance, credit counseling, investment decisions and alternatives, self employment opportunities [eg. Franchising], etc.

New Horizons Network meets weekly, starting with 'Light Networking' at 8 AM at The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, 1957 Five Mile line Road, about 1 mile North of the Penfield four corners. It is located on the SW corner of Five Mile Line and Whalen Roads, in Penfield. The business meeting continues from 8:30 - 10 :15 AM.

Meetings follow a common agenda format that is distributed every Sunday night to attendees who have signed an Attendance Sheet at a prior meeting.

This group is for couples who are in their 20s or 30s and want to find other couple friends out there! If we get enough interest, most Meetups would be for 4 couples (8 people) max. Our favorite type of hangout is coffee (or other beverages) and conversation; however, we could think of more things to do as well if people want something a bit more active.

Are you flying solo? Are you trying to parent kids through these circumstances? It can be difficult without a group of friends around you supporting you. That’s what this group is about. Some if our members are divorced. Some of our members are widowed. And some of our members were solo parents from the outset. Whatever your circumstances, join us and make friends who have been there too. We get together at least once a month for Happy Hours. We are adding other events as often as time allows.

To be clear, this is not a dating group. Dating within the group is neither encouraged nor discouraged. If that is your objective, be very careful approaching a member. Unwanted advances will lead to a warning, three such warnings, and a member may be subject to expulsion from the group without further warnings.

Because we are aiming this group to be a resource to people who are actively parenting, we are limiting our age range to those in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.

If a member of this group has children living in the home, they should consider joining our sister group Solo Parents of Greater Rochester after attending an event such as our Happy Hours or Coffees. We will approve you for that group once we have met you. Statehood Whitehouse Card Game (New+, Patent Pending)

Whitehouse is a new patent pending card game and deck my wife and I created to bring people together as a part of our passion to promote more civil discourse in America. If you would like a free deck, let me know. But, I would like to meetup starting in December 2023 and play Whitehouse for fun and communion. Whitehouse is played similar to Spades and Bid Whist, except the bidding is based on how many electoral college votes you and your partner intend to win. The minimum bid allowed is 270, just enough to win the majority of electoral votes and the White House. States are split into Blue (♠, ♣) and Red (♥, ♦) based on the 2020 U.S presidential election results. The second game with can play with our cards is called "Statehood".
