This meetup is basically for friendly people to get together and hang out.

I was asked to point out that it is NOT singles only. Couples whether married or not can join and partake in all activities.

I will try to keep it to locations near the NY/NJ border, locations that conversations can actually take place (NOT loud places with dim lighting).

Mostly, it will be game nights, and walks in parks. Since there are many hiking groups out there, I will say that we will NOT hike, we will walk or stroll through a park, enjoying the surroundings, nature, and by talking while walking, enjoy each others company.

I will also try to set up "group conversation" nights where we can talk about subject but not limit ourselves to that subject alone. I found that hot topics were....internet dating....and male/female interactions ("why do they do this..." kind of questions ).

I intend on having most meetups on Friday nights and during the day of a Saturday. Since most likely I will be available those times. Other members are more then welcomed to host other meetups at other times, but I can not guarantee that I could attend.

Our steadily-growing group of friendly Pugaholics & their Pugs meet for outings once a month (with "special events" tossed in for good measure), in order to provide our furbabies (& ourselves) some time for socialization & out-in-out fun!

Playtime's great, but giving back to the community is also important, & we make a conscious effort to host & participate in charitable events; all net proceeds go to the featured organization. We are also active with Pug Rescue & in helping to find needy Pugs their "forever homes".

Rockland Singles 60 Plus Afternoon Walks, Hikes, Arts & Ent.

"Don't do mornings", come join us! Meet new friends to share afternoon 1-4 hour, easy to moderate with some more challenging nature walks and hikes plus other arts and entertainment activities. Don't forget to check the day of an event for any changes. Please give yourself plenty of time to find us, since we only wait an extra 10-15 minutes before starting an event to be fair to everyone. We will occasionally post a "Dog Friendly" event, which is the ONLY TIME when friendly, well behaved dogs will be welcome but they must be on a leash and under strict control of the owner. Owners should find out and respect the rules of the park, provide water, for their dog and follow requests made by the organizers. A $30.00 yrly. donation to defray the yrly. meetup advertising fee which is going up and other costs involved in running the group would be appreciated and can be made when you attend an event. Your guests can pay a $2 donation on their second outing with us and for any additional outings. Additional donations always welcome. If you have been a member for several months and attended numerous level hikes, or and have led hikes for other groups please let me know if you would be interested in hosting some events as an organizer. Suggestions are welcome. We have many more bridges to cross and paths to explore so come share the journey! As with all of our events, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your guests. Hiking can be dangerous and injuries can occur, sometimes fatal.
