Hudson Valley Claris FileMaker Meetup

The Hudson Valley FileMaker Meetup is an open forum for Claris FileMaker users of every skill level.

Our monthly meetings (5:30PM on the first Thursday of the month) offer a chance for members of all skill levels to exchange ideas, share expertise and expand the possibilities offered by the FileMaker platform and other Claris products. Our meetup is hosted at FullCity Consulting's offices in Red Hook, NY. We'll begin with an optional social time from 5:30pm to 6:00PM where you are invited to bring your own dinner. The official meetup runs from 6:00PM to 7:30PM (or 8:00PM if we're really rolling!). We have an HDMI and AppleTV enabled large screen TV available for projection.

I am repurposing the same group to focus on the elephant in the family room "[Domestic abuse](https://www.thehotline.org/identify-abuse/understand-relationship-abuse/)" commonly known as Domestic Violence (DV). * According to the national website ['The Hotline'](https://www.thehotline.org/stakeholders/domestic-violence-statistics/) "Nearly 3 in 10 women (29%) and 1 in 10 men (10%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by a partner and reported it having a related impact on their functioning." * This group is for individuals, families and friends directly or indirectly affected by 'Domestic abuse' and those who would like to understand the problem. We will try to understand and support the members. DV is an individual-family-community-social problem that has been going on for generations. We are a group of people from different backgrounds, root religions - both eastern and western - and philosophical traditions. We practice and encourage each other to live in mindfulness each moment of every day. We practice engaged Buddhism in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. We are meeting online via Zoom on Thursdays and meeting in person third Thursday of the month at Friends Meeting House in Great Barrington 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Northern Dutchess Life Drawing Meetup

Life Drawing lives forever at the Enchanted Cafe in Red Hook NY. For the past two years our group meets up on the 1st and 3rd Thursday EVERY MONTH! We also will try to bring in new faces, models, and interesting props along the way, so the artist can see, learn, and practice sketching all shapes, sizes and genders.

This is a non instruction opportunity to practice and refine your artistic abilities and power of seeing. OPEN to all skills. Bring your own supplies. $20 exchange. Sessions will be hosted by Artist Mark Hopkins. Mark painted and built sets for the Minnesota Opera House and Sesame Street. He also designed the acclaimed Satwadee Restaurant in Minneapolis. Moving then to the Far East, he created spiritual and cultural art pieces for international publications and also created personal pieces in his studio. He has been drawing the figure for over 30 years. He lives now in the HV and we are completely thrilled to have Mark lead our sessions.
