Our organization is for adults 30 and over who have been diagnosed with Herpes Simplex Virus Types 1 and/or 2 (HSV-1, HSV-2). We are also open to their partners. We serve those who may be interested in meeting, sharing their experiences and socializing with others without fear or stigma. It's good to share social encounters with those who face the same uncertainties and challenges of living and/or dating that you do. Our community strives to not only be a social network for our members but also a group that promotes support and education rather than ignorance and shame. At the Ohio valley Camera Club, we bring to our members a wide variety of opportunities:  to get to know one another, to receive quality education programs and experience fun-filled times photographing locally (Cincinnati), regionally and nationally. OVCC Means Education: 1)      Classic Camera Club meeting with professional photographers providing educational presentations. We meet monthly in-person and online the third Wednesday evening from January through November, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The purpose of the Cincinnati Fiction Writers group is to bring together individuals who want to strengthen their writing with the goal of publishing. Whether you are already published, currently working on a novel or short story, or would like to get to work, there is a seat for you at our table. You are welcome to join us in this journey. We meet for online critique sessions on the first and third Mondays each month. We meet in person for social sessions on the second and fourth Mondays. Attendance is fluid; come when you can. Fifth Mondays are a wild card. Each critique meeting we look at up to two (2) writers' work.  We prefer unpublished material that you are preparing for publication. We'll read ten (10) pages, double-spaced, aloud, and then discuss. The focus of critique is to improve the writing. Make it stronger. You will encounter writing that is not your genre, but we have found this sharpens your awareness of what works and what does not. Writing fiction is a craft you must work on. Before submitting for critique we highly encourage new members to learn how the process works in order to get the most from it. Those chosen to present send their pages to the organizer approximately one week ahead of time for preparation. No one is required to present or to participate in discussion. It's OK to just come and listen. Really, that's totally okay. We look forward to meeting you. There are no dues or fees, but, since Meetup is not free, you can help defray our costs by pledging a few dollars. Not required. Always appreciated. We have only a few rules, but they include respect and kindness and constructive discussions. Note: We generally only promote books on the Meetup site that we workshop in the group. Unsolicited promotion is thus not cool. Our group is focused on turning works-in-progress into finished products.
