I’ve formed this group to fulfill a need many women in their 40s and 50s have, small social circles due to losing touch with friends as you nurtured a family or perhaps divorced, and “your” friends were his friends wives and girlfriends. Maybe you find yourself on a Friday dreading the end of the work week because you have no plans, and all your friends are still busy with families and unable to hang out due to other commitments. You may have also been someone focused on your career and now established and ready to enjoy a social life again. Whatever the circumstances are you not alone, there are many women struggling to regain or reestablish friendships and let’s face it, it’s challenging. I’ve established this group with the intent to help women in their 40’s and 50’s reconnect with one another, establish new friendships, and get out and enjoy life. As a plus but not the purpose of this group, if your single, you won’t meet anyone sitting at home, but when you are out living your life, you never know who you might meet! I envision starting out meeting up for dinner or drinks to initially get to know each other and then determining activities or events to attend based upon interests. Storytelling Workshop Group

Do you have an interest in telling true stories live on stage? Do you have a vision of creating a 1-person show about your life, career, or something else and possibly performing it at a Fringe Festival? Are you interested in creating a 1-act play to have read or performed? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need to join our storytelling workshopping group. The mission of this brand new group is to bring together people in a collaborative environment to workshop our creative ideas over several sessions. And then ... perform live on stage of course! We are a small but ambitious group. We work collaboratively to help each person develop and prepare their stories for a live stage performance. Our initial group started workshopping in March of 2024. And our first storytelling show was on June 1st, 2024. We are currently planning shows to close out the year, including at the Clifton Gorge Music and Arts Festival in August. If you're interested please come out to an upcoming workshop. Drink and Draw: Dayton is a social/ collaboration club for artist and art enthusiasts to get hopped up on coffee or craft beer and make weird stuff in public spaces. It is intended to be casual and goofing off is encouraged to help everyone get to know each other better. Amateur and professional artist, and people that just consider themselves art hobbyist are all welcome to come out and bring their favorite media to work with.

The event will supply some basic tools (pens and pencils, erasers), and a variety of paper will be available for people to sketch with. The event location will always be at one of Dayton's numerous, wonderful small business coffee shops or craft breweries and will most commonly be between 2 pm to 6 pm on the weekends, to avoid skewing anyone's schedules.

The only goal is to do art and make friends. If you like anything from fine art to comic book styles and you want to share your obtuse interests with others.
