ANP Conferences are high-quality, thoughtfully-produced events bringing together some of today’s most accomplished visionaries to present a fresh approach to the world’s critical challenges. Beginning in 2015, the annual events are designed to build upon each other, taking a blinders-off approach to identifying the root causes of the challenges, balanced with innovative and practical solutions. We are women who want to make new friends and socialize at fun meet ups in the Southern Oregon area.  We are a no drama, no discrimination group who meet up, make friends, and have fun.  

We ask that when you attend a meet up please be responsible for yourself and respectful of others.

amBi is not just another Meetup group that offers fun events. Our mission is nothing less than to build a vibrant and visible bisexual community. amBi is a diverse social group that hosts public and private events and activities for bis, our partners, and allies.

The first amBi chapter was founded in 2006 in Los Angeles. Since then, the group has been spreading to other cities. The Southern Oregon chapter is new and growing fast. We host parties and intimate get-togethers, share fun activities and explore our community. You do not have to be bi to join amBi. Friends and allies are welcome.

JOINING amBi:
amBi is a private Meetup, and you will need to be approved by an Organizer in order to join. We do this to protect the privacy and integrity of the group. Some of our members are closeted outside of amBi, and we want to protect their anonymity. Inside amBi, however, we are open and out to each other.

THE THREE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP (all profiles must be for 1 person only):

1) A real or real-sounding name.
This is the name by which people in the group will refer to you. User names like "BiGurl23" or acronyms like "KFS" sound pretty silly when used in person. If you absolutely do not want people to know your real name, pick something. Just be prepared to answer to it.

2) A photo clearly showing your FACE.
This helps us find you when meeting at a busy venue and also helps people learn and remember who you are. Photos help prevent spam and make the group safer for everyone. As long as you have your meetup.com settings to "keep groups private," nobody outside of amBi can see your photo in association with the group.

3) Answers to some basic profile questions.
These questions aren't here to make you feel awkward. They enable us to make sure you are a real person who is here to meet and socialize with the bisexual community. Your answers also serve as your introduction to the group. Sorry, but incomplete profiles will not be approved for membership. We look forward to meeting you!

PLEASE NOTE: While many of our members are single, amBi is not a hookup group. amBi is not a swingers' group. We are here to help build a community in Southern Oregon that is welcoming, safe, diverse, vibrant, and visible. If you are here only looking to arrange dates and/or sexual encounters, we are definitely not the Meetup group for you. A WORD ON LABELS: amBi uses "bisexual" as an umbrella term for people who recognize and honor their potential for sexual and/or emotional attraction to more than one gender (heteroflexible, pansexual, fluid, omnisexual, queer, and all other free-identifiers). We celebrate and affirm the diversity of identity and expression regardless of labels.

Who are you?

The Ashland Writers' Group is for working writers who are serious about their professional development. It's a supportive space for constructive feedback that will help us deepen our relationship with our words and ourselves. Any aspect of the written word is welcome. 

How we do it

See the Discussions section, and help us come up with a process that works for all,  and a good meeting time.

We haven't met since March 2020 and I'd like to try resuming activity starting now, December 2020, using Zoom until next spring when most of us will have been vaccinated (I hope) and we can start meeting face to face again. I'm thinking of writers' readings and verbal feedback, every two weeks, similar to our former meetings except we won't be distributing written copies for mark-up.

Anyone with a written excerpt to present (try for 1500 words or less) can read their piece aloud.  We'll spend up to 10 minutes on free comment. 

We used to meet at 2:15pm on alternate Sundays.  Does that time work for you, or not? Weigh in in the discussions group.  When we have a consensus, I'll schedule the meetup.  Other Ideas:  I'm also considering a Guided Prompt format on the intervening week, which looks like this: we write for 20 minutes in response to a prompt, which might be a topic, or a first line, for example. Then anyone who wants to can read their piece.  What do you think? See you in the discussions.

Hiking as nature intended. Mother Nature doesn't wear clothes, and in the back country when the weather permits, neither do we. This is a Naturist, clothing optional hiking club for free-hiking in areas that permit nudity.  This meetup is family friendly and all activities are suitable for all ages.  That said, some of our hikes may be strenuous and smaller children may not be able to keep up.  Various levels of activities will be scheduled as the meet up grows to include different age groups. 

Siskiyou Hiking Bares is being modeled after the traditional Naturist hiking groups of Germany, known as nacktwandern.  These groups started informally in the early 1900's in Germany as wandervogel groups, organizing coed hikes and rambles through the countryside, often nude, but always clothing optional as a way of getting closer to nature and rejecting what was seen as an increasingly unhealthy lifestyle in the crowded and polluted cities of the time.  This eventually led to regional and national organizations promoting healthy outdoor nude activity, such as the freikorperkultur (FKK) movement in Germany and the Naturist / Nudist movement elsewhere. 

This meet up will be independent of other organizations, but will follow closely the standards and practices of both The Naturist Society and the American Association of Nude Recreation.  The meet up will be open to all that show a sincere interest in healthy outdoor nude recreation and will not discriminate in any way.
