The purpose of this group is for people looking to start new friendships. I do find it hard to make friends as an adult. I basically have no friends and tired of missing out on fun things because I don't want to do them alone. I am hoping to make new friends and who knows, maybe we all will be BFF's. Girlies! Do you find it tough to meet friends in a comfortable and easy way? I set out to make this group so women can meet friends without the pressure of planning a date, keeping the conversation flowing, and having those awkward break-the-ice moments 😭 All you have to do is just show up with a bunch of other girls looking to make lifelong friends, have some food or just a coffee, and chat! The premise of this group is that we will host frequent, small intimate gatherings of 10-15 people so that there are enough people to have great conversation flowing but not so many people that the group breaks up into many smaller sub-groups. Smaller subgroups prevent people from adequately meeting everyone and can make it hard for introverts to join in the conversation. As an introvert myself I find having a good conversation and meeting friends in a large group is just as awkward as being one on one! This group accepts people of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. This group will be a safe space for women of any background and hate will not be tolerated in any form!

Mystic Friends is a spiritual group formed in 2023 under the care of the Newtown Square Quaker Meeting.  Its purpose is to create a safe community to share and explore mystical experiences, readings, discussions, and events.  When we speak of “mystical experiences” we mean to include not only religious experiences but those experienced in nature and within each mind and soul.   Quakerism, at its heart, is a mystical religion.  Despite these origins, Quakers and non-Quakers alike are often reluctant to share their mystical experiences because there are few communities that welcome them in a supportive manner.  We are confident that Mystic Friends can fill this void.  We aim to bring together both Quakers and non-Quakers to search for the roots of mysticism that seem to be present in each human soul.  Our goal is to encourage the sharing of mystical experiences, contemplation and discussion in the setting of an old Meeting House where people have been gathering for similar sharing for over 300 years.
