Austin Breathwork with friends
Welcome to Austin Breathwork with Friends! A laid back group of humans sharing space, doing some breathwork, and building community. If you are curious about breathwork and want to give it a try in a low pressure environment, or if you’ve been seeking a community aspect to add to your practice, you’ve come to the right place. We meet to share a mindful, present, and meditative space with each other. We will try to hold our sessions outside, at the end of each month as much as possible. It feels so good to get fresh air and sunshine! **How it works:** * **Community sharing and grounding** \- I facilitate a quick grounding exercise\, and we open with some sharing\. * **Breathing** \- Together we enjoy a Breathwork journey \(led by intuition\, each session varies and has a different theme\)\. * **Journaling & community sharing** \- After the breathwork session\, we take a moment to journal\, and space is created for any sharing desired\. * **(Optional) Post outdoor activities -** Activities such as hiking, movement/yoga, additional journaling, jam sessions, dancing, etc. are encouraged after :) **Intention:** The intention is to share a beautiful mindfulness practice with other mindful beings, to share space, and build friends and community in the process. **Additional things to know:** * All levels of experience are welcome. * This is a donation based group. If you feel compelled to support that is deeply appreciated, though there is zero pressure. * We are open to all backgrounds, beliefs, and gather as fellow humans sharing this amazing time together. * We encourage you to bring a physical journal. * Bring a mat and/or meditation cushion to sit and/or lie on. * Please wear clothing that keeps you and those around you comfortable. * If you are attending an outdoor event, please check the weather and bring anything you might need to be most comfortable. —> Your meat suit’s safety and well-being, is important to us, and is your full responsibility. Please check with your medical practitioner/professional(s) prior to joining a session. * Come as you are, and invite everyone else to do the same. **Donation link:** [Press here to donate](https://buy.stripe.com/8wMeYC8Ci4Uxal23cd). If you have any questions, please reach out. We look forward to seeing you soon! Much love, Joey P.S. A little about me. I am an ex-corporate entrepreneur, turned spiritual-entrepreneurship. I am a very creative person with many creative hobbies such as drawing and percussion. I'm passionate about both the world of business and spirituality. I started this group because I love sharing things that are blessing my life. Breathwork is one of those tools, it has transformed my life. I have had incredibly profound experiences through breathwork, and hope to share that with others (you). I also know we all seek more intentional communities, I know I do. Together, I believe we will create something beautiful. I can't wait to meet you! Want to learn more? Sistas & Cinemas
Do you love going to the movies and need some sista-friends to catch a movie with? We are a group for women of color in the Austin Metro area and beyond, who are movie enthusiasts, self-proclaimed movie critics, or just love watching a good flick (or bad) in the theatre with a bunch of girlfriends. Stay after the movie and enjoy the critique, commentary, and maybe a laugh or two, and make some new friends! Join us for movie nights, dinner and a movie, movies and a drink, or just to socialize. **If you're a woman of color and get declined, please resubmit your request. Unless you were provided with a reason, it was an accident.** Policies: As the sole organizer, time and effort go into planning and coordinating movie nights and social hours, so please update your RSVP if you can no longer attend. If you are running late to an event, please let us know so that we can be on the lookout for you. Contact info will be given out the day of the event in the discussion/reminder thread for that movie. Things to know: 1\. Please be courteous and respectful of each other; especially during our after\-movie review conversations\. 2\. Movie recommendations and theatre suggestions are always welcomed\. We occasionally may schedule movies at different theatres\. However\, AMC Tech Ridge and Pflugerville Cinemark 20 XD are the most scheduled locations\. 3\. Once showtimes are released\, the host will post their seat assignment\. You are welcome to purchase your seat near the host/group or wherever you choose\. Please be sure to post your seat in the comments so that the host can greet you\.

The purpose of this Group is to create a "Friendship Community", a community of friends over 50 yrs who enjoy getting together to socialize, make new friends, and simply go out and have fun. We are NOT a dating app! We offer a variety of many events, such as meeting for coffee or an adult beverage, dinners, dancing, going for walks or hikes, playing board games, cooking and sharing meals together, bowling, going to concerts and plays, and lots of other social events. **Event Attendance Policy** To keep our events safe and enjoyable and in the overall interest of all members and event venue staff, the following must be adhered to by every member when attending group events: * **Your profile picture must be a clear, identifiable photo of you**. This helps the event organizer(s) find you. If you do not have an identifiable profile picture, you will be removed from the event. * If you sign up for an event, you must attend the event. The RSVP “Going” means you KNOW you can and will attend the event, it does not mean *maybe* going. No placeholding!! * If you signed up for an event with a Waitlist and find you are unable to attend, except for a real emergency, you must change your RSVP to “Not going” at least 1 full day before the event. This gives members who were Waitlisted enough notice to plan to join the event – and if applicable, is fair to event venues, owners, managers and chefs. * If you signed up for an event that does not have a Waitlist or is not at a venue with staff and find you are unable to attend, you must change your RSVP to “Not going” at least 4 hrs prior to the event. * If you do not attend an event you signed up for and did not change your RSVP to “Not going”, you will be marked as a “No Show”. After two “No Shows”, you will be sent a warning. After several “No Shows”, you will be removed from the group and will have restrictions if you want to re-join. * If you have not visited the group's site for over 6 months, you will be removed from the group for lack of activity. There are no restrictions for you to re-join the group. * You understand and assume all risk of injury or personal item damages associated with any of the group’s events. * Soliciting or marketing to group members is not allowed. * Contacting members of the group without permission is not allowed. * If inappropriate behavior is reported, you will be removed and banned from the group. * Be kind and respectful to event organizer(s) and other event attendees. * **Last but not least, HAVE FUN!**
