North Texas Literary Society
\*\*A Different Kind Of Book Club\*\* Definition of "Literary Society": A literary society is a group of people interested in literature. This is not your ordinary book club. There will be no monthly books to read, no book of the month, and no required reading. This is solely for lovers of books, whether eBook, paper, or audio. Each month we get together, socialize, and discuss books we love, hate, and are currently consuming. This is a great way to just have an excuse to talk about literature, or get recommendations that you normally wouldn't think to try. Each monthly meetup we ask that you bring 3 book titles (does not need to be the physical book): A favorite book, a book you hated, and a book you're currently reading. We will have time to chat, discuss books, and just meet new and interesting people in this "not a book club" book club. We don't plan on having a whole ton of rules or anything here, but we did want to clarify some important things going forward. 1. We would like to keep this group to adults only. The events will not be kid friendly, as we would like this to be a time for us to all have unhindered discussion about our favorite subject: books! 2. We do not restrict what type of literature can be brought or discussed. That being said, we ask that you do remain tactful and aware that religion and politics are sticky subjects and you may not always be in agreement with everyone. We understand that there are great many books that have a religious or a political angle or bent, and being exposed to different ideas is never a bad thing! But please, let's use best judgement to ensure that our meetings remain comfortable and friendly. 3. As this is an in-person get together, we do ask that you are vaccinated if you plan to attend for the safety and comfort of everyone. We will not be asking for any documentation or proof of vaccination, but do hope you will be respectful of this request. We look forward to meeting and reading with you!

Girlfriends of Mid-Cities/Keller/Southlake/NFW Reboot
Since 2009, the Girlfriends of Mid-Cities has been providing local women the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and build friendships!  Whether you enjoy movies, dining, cards, games, crafts, or clubs, there is an activity out there for you.  We are adult women of all ages, both married and single, with or without children. We have so many upcoming events to choose from, join today. We hope to see you soon! Group Guidelines: This is a very casual group. We do not have a lot of rules for membership, but a handful are provided below. * • Our events are 'kid-free' unless specifically invited.  Moms need "me time" too! • Keep events social - not salesy. (see more below) • Be respectful of other members. • If there is an event you want to see on the calendar, consider hosting it! • If you RSVP for an event and can't make it, please let the organizer know and change your RSVP. • Be aware of the refund policy for any event that requires prepayment. • Know and respect your personal limits - whether related to physical activity, alcohol consumption or anything else.  We are all responsible adults and are expected to behave as such. (A gentle note about how we approach sales with the Girlfriends:  The Girlfriends of Mid-Cities is a social group and our goal is to develop friendships. We do not hold networking parties, sales parties or engage in sales-y activities at our events. So the question comes up occasionally “If I have a business, can I sell to other members of Girlfriends?” The answer is a qualified “Yes”.  Remember that most Girlfriends are not coming to an event to hear a sales pitch. So start by making friends first - that's why you are joining, right? The fact that you have a business will naturally come out of the connections you make and conversations you have with your new friends. Those girlfriends who are interested in what your business offers will let you know.  If you are unsure about anything related to promoting a business, it is always best to ask the organizer of the event first. )
