Meet new friends groups near Sandy, UT

I am the owner of Park City Culinary Institute, and I thought it would be fun to have cooking classes where we can all meet new people. I've been to almost 50 countries, visiting local markets and taking cooking classes. My ex-husband was in the Food & Beverage Industry, so when we got divorced I went to culinary school in Paris, at le Cordon Bleu. What an amazing experience that was! Being in the US, and especially in Utah, we have access to so many different cultures and cuisines. Since moving to Utah, I've met people from all around the world here - from Japan and Italy to New Zealand and Saudi Arabia - seriously, there are so many people here who all know how to make so many great foods! There's a lot to explore too. There are amazing markets in Salt Lake City for everything from International spices and herbs to exotic ingredients. Shahrazad, Qaderi Sweetz N Spicez, Chinatown, Ocean City, Black Chery, Jade, Sage, Tony Caputo's, Siegfried's, and Mahider Ethiopian to name just a few. There are more local farms and farmer's markets every day. We have a lot to explore! And have a lot we can teach each other. If you're interested in cooking - or just eating (that's okay too, some people take cooking classes just to try new things, and I'm one of them!), join me on this adventure! Depending on how much interest there is, we can meet once a month or once a week. I'll host at my cooking school. We can all take turns teaching cooking classes. Then for groceries, let's just split the cost.

This group helps connect people in the Salt Lake area. We want to include everyone who enjoys having a good time. If you were never Mormon but want to be a part of our group please check us out.

Most of us are people who have left Mormonism. When leaving Mormonism, many people lose much of their community and sometimes family. They might have trouble readjusting and feel like they need to learn a whole new world - which is where we come in, creating friendships with understanding, fun people. Whether you've recently mentally left the church, have been years out the door, or even if you were never Mormon, come join us and help us establish a sense of community in Salt Lake.

This group is not affiliated with any religion or outside group. It is specifically a group for and by people who have left Mormonism and those who want to socialize with us.

Have you ever considered becoming a Freemason? If so, this is the place to start.

Freemasons in Utah are dedicated to making sure that people are aware of our great and honorable fraternity. We meet on the last Thursday of every month, Freemasons and non-Freemasons alike in a casual spirit of brotherhood. At this meeting you will be able meet Freemasons and ask all the questions you would like about Freemasonry. Some of the topics we will be discussing are: The origin of freemasonry. The symbols of freemasonry. Freemasonry initiation. Freemasonry books. Degrees of freemasonry. Freemasonry today and its relevance to the younger generation. What is the Scottish Rite and York rite? Why do the Shriners wear those funny hats? What are secrets of freemasonry?

This Meetup is for everyone who loves games, likes games, used to like games, doesn't know if they like games, and especially those who want to discover the enormous world of games that are available to suit every taste and style of player. A game is a fantastic way to spend an evening with friends and to meet new people.

We will try to have Game Night at least twice a month on Friday or Saturday nights. Game Nights are for players 18 years or older. We are very sorry but we can't accommodate kids.

I have a large selection of games or feel free to bring your own; I love to play new games. If there is a game you want to play, drop me a line and see if I have it.
