Hike Like A Girl

The Winchester, VA Writing and Writer's Network Meetup Group will focus on conducting round table discussions of the writer's original work. This group has been designed to cater to the writer whether he or she is new or experienced; the writer should be interested in publishing his or her own work and should therefore come to this group to have their original work critiqued by other writers. Join this group if you have written a short story, poetry, novella, novel or other forms of fiction and nonfiction such as a memoir or flash fiction of various sorts. This group is therefore intended to help guide the writer in honing his or her craft; the group will read the original work and provide feedback during a meet up session. The group will read during the meet up a few pages of poetry, fiction or the first chapter of a novel therefore enough copies should be brought to the group to pass out during a meet up session. Eventually we can begin to email each other the work that will be critiqued during a session if that works better. Our meet up will ideally meet once a week at a location that is designed to allow the writers to share and discuss original works.

Combining neuroscience, mindfulness, positive psychology, and universal spiritual principles, we explore and practice meditation and other spiritual growth practices that access the power of our consciousness to change our own lives as well as make a positive difference in the world.

Our meetings are facilitated by Sunday Cote. Sunday Coté is an experience meditator and has been teaching mediation as well as spiritual growth practices based on Universal Principles for more than 25 years. A graduate of Ernest Holmes College, (now Holmes Institute’s School of Spiritual Leadership) she is an ordained minister with Centers for Spiritual Living and is currently the spiritual director at the Center for Spiritual Living in Leesburg, VA. She has advanced training in mindfulness, spiritual counseling, energy healing, and positive psychology. She has completed professional training in Positive Neuroplasticity with Dr. Rick Hanson and is a certified Q Process Coach.

Currently our meditation circle meets on the third Monday of each month from 7 - 8:30 pm at the Wellness Sanctuary in Berryville, VA.
