Welcome! We’re a fun-loving community of 1500+ people from all over the US (plus some international folks). We play casual social games together and help people make new friends every week. We play a mix of games on a video-chat platform called Ludio (no downloads or accounts necessary, everything happens in the browser). Our games are very accessible and beginner-friendly - it takes just 5 minutes to learn most of our games. There are video tutorials for each game that you’re welcome to watch beforehand on try.ludio.gg, but even if you haven't - show up and we will teach you the games anyway! We do insist that you play with your camera on. We believe video chat does a great job of helping people feel connected to other, and we promise it's way more fun! Learn to meditate with your new family member!  Beginners and all experience levels are welcome.  We will have two sessions in a row.  One for the babies, which includes music, hand movements, in a cozy and friendly environment.  The second will be for the grown ups which will include tips on how to clear the unnecessary thoughts that make us tired and stressed.  We will have volunteers on hand to guide you through meditation and answer any questions along the way. After the class, you are always welcome to bring a sack lunch, or snacks to share.

This is first of all a place for people who are blind, low vision, experiencing vision loss, choose your label to come and talk technology, accessibility, favorite tools, tips, and tricks. We welcome both people who have been blind their whole lives and people new to vision loss and everyone on the spectrum of people's experience with blindness. We welcome friends, family, other people interested in accessibility. We mainly talk about computers and mobile devices but we do not shy away from kitchen appliances, medical devices, and referrals. We expect to be technologically heterogeneous, inclusive of people who have different screen reader, browser and operating system preferences, different work backgrounds and training. We now meet on Zoom once a month on the first Saturday of most months We hope to have a good time and to create space to learn from each other. Please note: so far this content is edited using both JAWS screen reader and Zoomtext screen enlargement on a Windows machine. Backend user experience for a screen reader only user is uneven.
