Future of Work & Learning

Kitchener, ON

Future of Work & Learning
Accelerating global trends and new technologies are requiring individuals, organizations, academic institutions, and government to become more adaptable and resilient in order to survive and thrive. The talent gap is also widening as competition for innovative talent increases and more workers are displaced due to AI and automation. This Peer to Peer (P2P) group is open to anyone interested in the future of work and learning, including tech founders and staff, educators, government leaders, HR and employment professionals etc. Together we will explore how the landscape of work and learning in Canada is changing and ways in which we as individuals, organizations, academic institutions, and governments can adapt. At P2P meetups, members will share insights and best practices to crosspollinate learnings from one domain to another. We will also learn with relevant guest speakers. Discussion topics may include upskilling/reskilling, hybrid and remote work, distributed workforces, blended employee-contractor workforces, hybrid learning, and micro credentials. Communitech’s Peer2Peer Network helps professionals in the Waterloo Region tech industry share challenges and lessons-learned in a friendly, informal environment. Peer2Peer groups provide an opportunity for individuals in similar roles, specialties or functions to exchange advice and best-practices information. Communitech is a not-for-profit organization aimed at helping tech companies start, grow & succeed.
