Your voice is your Superpower!!! Over the last several months, the Leighton Buzzard Speaker Group has asked our attendees: What can we provide to enhance your 'superpower'? Do you wish to feel more confident in front of people? How about getting your point of view across to others? Or do you want to advance your presentation skills in the workplace? We incorporated their ideas to form the core of each meeting. Topics include the best words to convey your thoughts, presentation techniques, networking tips, workplace stress management, professional speaking online, and effective verbal communication methods, among other suggestions. Attendees can practice various speaking methods at each meeting. The meetings are approximately two hours long and take place on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7:30 p.m. Message us if you would like to attend, and we will send the Zoom details. Chiltern Business Club was formed in 1993 as a self-governing association of business men and women in the Chiltern area. The club meets at 8pm on the third Tuesday of every month except August, at Missenden Abbey in Great Missenden. Members have the option of dining, for a modest fee, at 7p.m. before the meeting. They also have the use of the Abbey's bar. The club evenings are normally arranged around a specialist speaker on a wide range of topics relevant to small businesses. Attendance at meetings is free, and members are encouraged to bring friends and business colleagues as guests. The club organises a full programme of social events throughout the year, including an summer 'soiree', a Christmas function plus visits to a variety of business and social venues. The club is sponsored by Missenden Abbey Management Centre. In order to achieve its aim of becoming the most comprehensive business club in the Chilterns, the Club, in addition to providing specialist speakers on topics of business interest and organising social events, offers many other benefits to its members:- •provides a regular forum where members can meet to discuss business in a relaxed environment. •promotes 'networking' between club members. •shares 'best practice' information. •supports the education/business partnership. •canvasses opinion amongst members on matters of topical interest and provides a voice to appropriate authorities. •provides local networking opportunities. •gives advice on business and training issues. •holds topical information briefings.

I would like to create a book club where you can enjoy reading a book and then discussing it informally, over a drink - tea, coffee or something stronger! If you like to read and would like to share your thoughts with others, then this group is for you. I want this to be a book group for the members so books can be chosen by members and the discussions can be shaped as members would like. Nothing too heavy though! There will be a chance as well for some social networking time if you are interested but this of course is up to you. This group was started to create a great community in the Bucks and Berks areas. Attending our events is a great way to make new sociable friends and to maybe even meet that someone special along the way if you're currently single. We are age, ability, race, cultural identity and everything else you can identity as inclusive. We never tell you how to look or identify to attend an event or restrict you narrowly to just identifying as 'lesbian'. Occasionally we might run an event which is specifically targeted as part of our community and if we do that we will always tell you why (an example might be an event centred around black, asian and ethnic minority members, dating for a specific group or for vegans); this is never to exclude you but to connect an even more marginalised membership of our community or where members might share a very specific common interest. We are super friendly, always welcoming to our new and regular members, and no matter who you arrive with or arrive alone, you will most definitely leave with new connections and awesome people to hang out with at future events or meet with outside of the group. My name is Tali J, I am a qualified psychologist and is currently studying for PhD in Health. I hold various events for mental well-being including holistic and psychoeducational. I also run 10 week support courses on line where you would learn more about autism, differences in between male and female traits, masking, developing strategies and helpful habits, addressing mental well-being, talk about challenges of authenticity/parenthood/workplace, aquire supportive network, share and ask questions in safe space and more. Course is suitable for adults diagnosed in autism, self- identified or still wondering wether you are autistic.
