PHP Cambridge is a local community group. You can come and meet other people working with PHP, share knowledge, experiences, best practices and related technologies. And best of all, network with your peers :)

We meet on the 3rd Monday of the month, currently online due to the pandemic. We hope to restart face-to-face meetups sometime in 2021.

With so many great search companies in Cambridge we're sure a Meetup will lead to some interesting discussions and networking. We're hoping to run regular events where you can come and hear about exciting developments in enterprise search and related fields, talk about what you're doing and meet others in the field.

If you're working with, developing or planning to use any search technology, be it open source, commercial closed source, appliance-based or simply theoretical join this Meetup! Interest or experience in Lucene/Solr, Microsoft FAST, Endeca, Xapian, Autonomy, Exalead, Attivio, Grapeshot, TrueKnowledge, Google Search Appliance, Vivisimo, Muscat, Sphinx - or anything else - is all that's required.

Group for bioinformaticians, computational biology folks and anyone interested in the genomics / genetics / NGS / personalised medicine / oncology informatics space in Cambridge (UK). Everyone, whether working in the industry or academia welcome. This group was started by a bunch of industry and academia scientists living in or around the Sawston (i.e. south Cambridge) area and therefore we aim to meet somewhere south of Cambridge typically but by the bus routes.

* Who should join: Bioinformaticians, computational biologists, people interested in Next Gen Sequencing 

* Why should members join: Primary purpose is to have fun and secondary purpose to network and understand what overlaps there are between what people are doing in this space and how we could possibly collaborate

* What can members expect out of the group: Fun, drinks, networking

* Community: Nothing can replace meeting other people face to face. Often the strongest relationships are formed over informal discussions in a friendly settings (i.e. a pub). The aim here is to gather together the people in Cambridge working on similar subjects but not necessarily aware of what the others may be doing.
