Swindon IVC Social Club

Swindon, P8

Swindon IVC Social Club
Swindon IVC are a group of friends from all walks of life who enjoy socialising. Members are individuals or couples with a mix of ages, generally 40 upwards. All are welcome. If we want to go to a film, or for a day or meal out, we invite the others so we can enjoy events together. We are book worms, theatre addicts, walkers, cyclists, and lots more. Although there is a committee in the background, events are organised by members for members. We have a regular pub night twice per month and we would encourage prospective members to come along and meet us in this informal setting. Would you like to meet people and try new things? Fancy going to the Cinema but have no-one to go with? Like eating out with friends? Then you need us! If you attend some events and then decide to become a full member, subscription is £12 per annum. There is an option for an initial 3 months membership at a cost of £3. Please note that for us to administer this we ask for the following: your full name, a contactable email address and some form of photo ID (and the subscription!) The subscription covers club running costs including Meetup fees. We produce annual accounts for members to show how our funds are spent. Swindon IVC is a non profit club and the subscription rate is reviewed annually at an AGM. Swindon IVC is a member of the AIVC network of national clubs, first started in this country about 70 years ago by a group of ex-graduates, then known as the Inter-Varsity Club. We have been an active club in Swindon for more than 40 years. We look forward to welcoming you to our club and seeing you soon at one of our events.

Vale of Evesham Coworking Group

Evesham, Q4

Vale of Evesham Coworking Group
A small number of us in the local area have been meeting up to work remotely together and finding it helpful for productivity and use it as an opportunity to change things up from always working at the same few locations. This Meetup group is being set up to help test the water on bringing together other like minded individuals in the Vale of Evesham and surrounding areas who might like to get involved in something similar to the above. We imagine this group will be suited to anyone who would like to work alongside others that is not currently getting to as much as they might like. It could also be suited to individuals who are open minded enough to try something new that might be an improvement to their working day or working environment in some way. We are intending to arrange meet up events of usually around a couple of hours or so in locations where people will be able to meet, catch up and have a focused effort on something work related that they need to get done. The types of location you can expect events to be held at are coffee shops, coworking spaces, community centres or other business premises. There may also be some events that are run remotely and depending on the group that forms there could also be social activities that fit in to a lunch time or after work slot. All events could be an opportunity for anyone to network and find others they might be able to collaborate with if they are interested in that. The group is free to join but it's worth being aware that there is a monthly cost to setting up and running a Meetup group. Depending on how things go we might invite donations, look for sponsorship or see what members think to contributing in some way. The areas we've mainly worked in so far have been Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich but some of us have also met up with others in areas such as Cheltenham and Worcester. Other locations further afield may be of interest and we'll always be open to suggestions.
