The Analytics Network is a special interest group of the professional body, The Operational Research Society. For those with an interest in analytics, in topics such as data science, optimisation, visualisation, Big Data, Regression, Data Mining, Predictive modelling or forecasting, the Analytics Network is intended to be your home within the Operational Research Society (The O.R. Society).
The O.R. Society was established over 75yrs ago, to promote the application of scientific methods to data, to enable decision-making and advice-giving. The O.R. Society has always provided a professional home for those working in both O.R., Analytics and Data Science; this group aims to bring together resources, news, views and information for just that purpose.

The London Traders Network

The London Traders’ Network was started by Paul Wallace as a means of keeping in touch with other trading buddies in a social environment. Over the last 8 years the group has grown from 5 or 6 friends to now over 2,800 members.
What started out as a few friends meeting for a beer and a curry whilst discussing their trading experiences has now grown into a group of whereby 60-100 people attend our events.
The London Traders' Network run a series of free social events whereby traders of all levels of experience can get out from behind their screens and meet other like-minded individuals for a beer and a chat about trading and the financial markets. Trading can be a lonesome endeavour so it's all about being able to indulge in some guilt-free geeky trader chat with individuals who understand your journey and can usually offer some sage personal advice.
For those wanting to learn more we, on occasion, will run training or advanced meet-up events. However the majority of our time will be spent socialising with old friends and making new ones.

Asian Single Parents Network (ASP Network)

This Group was created to get Asian single parents and their kids out interacting with each other for fun, support and friendship, and to enhance lives in the process.

Separated, widowed, divorced, single by choice, living apart can all fit into the category of a single parent family. No matter how you arrived in your current situation, it’s important for families and children to know they are not alone.
<br>
THE EVENTS

We are an active group hosting a mixture of fun activities for both parents and kids and experiences that are priceless!
<br>
Daytime events for both Parents and their children: These have included activities such as a trip to London Zoo, picnic and play in various parks, bowling, ice skating, trips to the seaside, attending festivals such as the Tall Ships Festival in Greenwich, cultural events such as Holi, Diwali in Trafalgar Square, Vaisaki at Gravesend Gurudwara and Eid related events. These are just some of the many events we have held and are suitable for all ages.

Evening events for parents: these are for the adults only to have a night off! Including things such as a nice meal; drinks or a Bollywood event.

Holidays: We have been away on weekend breaks and holidays, and hope to do a lot more of these in the near future especially overseas! :)

Meeting like minded adults who are going through the same experiences. It can be invaluable to speak with others who have been where you are and are willing to share their own tips for getting through.

Although your best friends may be able to lend a listening ear and sympathize with you, true empathy will come from others who are going through a similar life experience. It is also sometimes difficult to talk to family and friends because of the stigma attached within our culture.

Having company when doing activities rather than on your own.
<br>
Friendship opportunities for children which exist outside of their everyday sphere. This also helps with kids who feel different to their peers who may live in two parent households.
Access to regional/local WhatsApp groups once you have attended an event with an organiser present. This will be at the organiser's discretion. For example, we have WhatsApp groups for Kent/East London/West London & Berkshire/North West London etc. where more local events are organised rather than central London all the time.

This is NOT a singles dating group, although if it happens it’s great. It’s more about bonding about the unique experience of raising children solo, to focus on activities and events that foster friendships and support for the parents and kids in our group.

We can only have you or your ex as members. Whoever joins the group first gets preference. Both can’t be members unless both consent to be cordial and civil.
<br>
Please note that as this is a children’s group too, (we do daytime activities with kids), all applicants will be screened before acceptance into the group. Once you have sent a request to join, please send me your phone number through the meetup messages so we can chat.
