šŸš€ Entrepreneurship: The Journey to Success! šŸŒ± Did you know that many successful entrepreneurs started with a small step into the world of business? Whether launching their own startups or investing in franchises, like Subway or McDonald's, these leaders often began with a vision and a drive to make it happen. Here are some key facts about their journey: * Starting Small: Most successful entrepreneurs didn't start with big corporations; they began with small businesses, learning the ropes and growing their skills from the ground up. * Franchising as a Launchpad: šŸ¤ Many well-known entrepreneurs chose franchises like as their entry into business. Franchises offer a proven system and support, making it easier to break into the market. * Consistency is Key: šŸ“ˆ Research shows that franchise models tend to have a higher success rate compared to independent startups because they come with a built-in brand and loyal customer base. This reduces the risk of failure in the early stages. * Big Names Started Small: šŸ’” Did you know that Fred DeLuca, the co-founder of Subway, started his journey with just a $1,000 loan? He turned that small investment into one of the largest fast-food chains in the world! * Learning on the Job: Many franchise owners develop critical business skills like management, marketing, and customer service, which become the foundation of their future entrepreneurial ventures. Thinking of starting your own journey in business? Franchising could be the stepping stone you need! šŸŒ±

Connect Singles a Social and Walking Group 40+

Redditch, Q4

Connect Singles a Social and Walking Group 40+
Connect isĀ an established group with members in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and The West Midlands. We meet in different locations every Sunday morning for a walk of 4 to 5 miles finishing with a drink in aĀ pub. We also have a monthly evening pub meal and other social events. We are all volunteers and ALL ACTIVITIES ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Organisers and Event hosts are not responsible for any injuries however caused. Connect is a friendship group for single people. It is not a dating orĀ introduction agency. Connect is an association which gives single people the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activity with others .It is a successor to the nationwide group Nexus whose aspirations were to share with friends a rich, varied and rewarding life. Members suggest and organise activities voluntarily. We have enjoyed meals, cinema, theatre, days out, National Trust visits, weekends away, boat trips and other varied activities. New members must be single but those who become established in relationships remain members. We are always welcoming to new members. Most of our members live alone and guard their privacy so we respect their concerns and do not make telephone numbers, addresses etc. openly available. We are also sensitive that photos of members should not appear openly on social networking without their permission. Our walks are mostly in the countryside. Between 4 and 6 miles in length led by different members each week. It is a great way to exercise, chat, make new friends and enjoy lovely scenery. Afterwards most of us relax with a drink in a local pub or an outdoor picnic. We do not charge to join our group but we do have to pay to use the Meet up site. Occasionally we will ask for voluntary donations of Ā£10 towards these costs. .

Vale of Evesham Coworking Group

Evesham, Q4

Vale of Evesham Coworking Group
A small number of us in the local area have been meeting up to work remotely together and finding it helpful for productivity and use it as an opportunity to change things up from always working at the same few locations. This Meetup group is being set up to help test the water on bringing together other like minded individuals in the Vale of Evesham and surrounding areas who might like to get involved in something similar to the above. We imagine this group will be suited to anyone who would like to work alongside others that is not currently getting to as much as they might like. It could also be suited to individuals who are open minded enough to try something new that might be an improvement to their working day or working environment in some way. We are intending to arrange meet up events of usually around a couple of hours or so in locations where people will be able to meet, catch up and have a focused effort on something work related that they need to get done. The types of location you can expect events to be held at are coffee shops, coworking spaces, community centres or other business premises. There may also be some events that are run remotely and depending on the group that forms there could also be social activities that fit in to a lunch time or after work slot. All events could be an opportunity for anyone to network and find others they might be able to collaborate with if they are interested in that. The group is free to join but it's worth being aware that there is a monthly cost to setting up and running a Meetup group. Depending on how things go we might invite donations, look for sponsorship or see what members think to contributing in some way. The areas we've mainly worked in so far have been Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich but some of us have also met up with others in areas such as Cheltenham and Worcester. Other locations further afield may be of interest and we'll always be open to suggestions.

Friendly Faces of Warwickshire

Leamington Spa, P3

Friendly Faces of Warwickshire
Are you aged between 25 and 50 and any of the following?.. \- Looking to meet more people / make new friends; \- New to the area; \- Recently become single; \- Wanting more fun activities in your diary to look forward to; \- Haven't got your social life back to how it was before lockdown; \- Noticing your existing friends all settling down; ....or are you just plain bored / looking for sociable activities to get involved in... Then why not take a bold (but easy) step towards doing something about it, and attend one of the many social events with members of the super-sociable group, the **Friendly Faces of Warwickshire**. We enjoy a variety of scheduled events in Leamington, Warwick and the surrounding area, where new and regular members meet as a group to network and partake in sociable / enjoyable activities. The events to choose from usually take place at the weekend, and can include countryside walks and hikes, gathering in bars, coffee shops or restaurants, going to indoor / outdoor cinemas, pool halls, festivals, tribute bands, stage showsā€¦ the list goes on. There is no financial commitment because our events are **free to attend** and you can add yourself to whichever ones you like the look of. At each of these events, youā€™ll meet the members - potential new friends from all walks of life and just like you in wanting to improve their social lives. They will make you feel very welcome as another valued contributor to what makes our events into special occasions to remember for all involved. It's normal to feel a little bit of apprehension about your first meeting, which is something we all have to go through, but after you've broken the ice for the first time, youā€™ll wonder what all the fuss was about and be eager to put your name down for another event! If you keep attending, you'll recognise people you met at past events and start to grow commonalities and friendships with the people you like. Attending a FFW event by yourself is perfectly fine and it's what many people do. The attendees at events are never the same, and each event consists of a combination of first-timers, seasoned members and everything in between, so there will be other new attendees just like you, and like-minded whatever your situation. We're all like you and looking for opportunities to be sociable, and genuinely hope that you decide to get involved. When you do, we will look forward to meeting you. Months from now youā€™ll look back on this moment that you took action with a smile, and be really glad you did! It wont cost you anything to join, and there is no commitment to stay on if you attend an event and then decide its not for you. So ask yourself out loud: "What have I got to lose?" And then hit that join button. šŸ˜Š Current Events Schedule: \- Saturday October 26th : Leamington Brunch/Coffee/Chat ā˜• \- Saturday October 26th : Leamington Halloween Fancy\-Dress Social šŸŽƒ \- Sunday November 17th : \*\* Placeholder for a 7\-mile hike \*\* TBD \- Sunday November 24th : Kenilworth Parks and the Castle \(6/7\-mile loop hike\) šŸš¶ \- Thursday November 28th : Warwick Victorian Evening & Festival \- Friday November 29th : Leamington Pizza and Social šŸ• \- Friday December 6th : Warwick Town Centre Social "Flash Mob" \- Sunday December 8th : \*\* Placeholder for a 7\-mile hike \*\* TBD \- Saturday December 14th : Leamington All\-Skills Pool and Social \- Sunday December 15th : Leamington Santas Hike for Charity \(7\-mile hike\) šŸš¶ \- Friday December 20th : Leamington Christmas Jumpers Drinks and Social \- Thursday December 26th : Boxing Day walk through the parks \(2\-to\-3\-mile stroll\) šŸš¶

Self-healing, energy medicine and EFT tapping (Worcester)

Worcester, Q4

Self-healing, energy medicine and EFT tapping (Worcester)

This is a new sister group to the well established Self-Healing, energy medicine and EFT tapping (Surbiton) meetup group which I am forming to build an active social network of those interested in a variety of effective self-help techniques in and near Worcester, as I will be soon be spending more time here.

I have nearly 20 year's experience of complementary therapies and a passion to pass on the techniques that WORK and that you can do for YOURSELF to improve your health, increase happiness and generally feel a whole load more self-empowered!

I organise small, friendly and highly educational but also entertaining gatherings, suitable for complementary therapists and total novices alike!

Some of these will be largely based on EFT  (Emotional Freedom Technique...also known as 'Tapping'). It's an astonishingly quick and easy way to diffuse stress and anxiety, let go of phobias or past upsets, and rebuild confidence by tapping on acupuncture points and (my personal addition, from my earlier studies of FasterEFT) anchoring a good, peaceful feeling to end each 'round' of tapping.

Others will look at different simple but effective ways to balance your energy, including the exercises of Donna Eden, and ways of using energy (muscle) testing as an indicator to pinpoint what's stressing the body, including beliefs, situations, and food sensitivities...and how these can be corrected using energy exercises and/or EFT.

Some of the meetups will be 'themed' such as focussing on Relationships, Weight and body image, stress and anxiety, Pain and healing, Food sensitivities etc., some will be general where we will use a sequence of energy exercises, then EFT and end with a meditation to access healing on multiple levels. I am a life-long lucid dreamer and have also started exploring the Out of Body state and will occasionally hold a meetup to teach how to dream lucidly, and then the incredible range of possibilities of what can be done with lucid dreaming :) . Once the group is well established I will also invite guest speakers.

I am qualified in Kinesiology, Jin Shin Acupressure, Reiki, I was one of the first FasterEFT practitioners in the UK but have re-direced my focus to EFT, Matrix Re-imprinting, and Donna Eden's Energy Medicine, which I find a far be. I studied Matrix Energetics to practitioner level (but have not yet rcertified) and I love drawing on aspects of all of these and more to create a safe, encouraging but also relaxed and light-hearted space in which to find out more about energetic approaches to health and well-being and meet like-minded souls.

I will sometimes include a brief meditation, but no religious or spiritual beliefs are required, I tend to just ask people to drop their attention into the area where their heart is and focus on love :) .

More details will appear shortly but in the meantime if you wish to see the sort of topics and our feedback please see: <br>http://www.meetup.com/Faster-EFT-London/
