Hello Springfield! This group is for women over 40 in Springfield, MA. I know, I know - there are many groups on Meetup that have a similar description, but this one is different. Why? OK, ready - You must actually LIVE in Springfield to join this group. All of the other Meetups I have ever been in deal with the Western Mass region which is quite large - sometimes Northampton is just too far. So I've decided to be part of the "Springfield Fun Scene" movement for which, as a lifelong resident, I believe I am qualified. There are lots of fun activities, ethnic & other restaurants, cool events, and stuff to do - all in Springfield. If you live here, you KNOW what I'm talking about. Then there are possible day trips every now and then to other locations within a 2 hour drive from here. **A Bold Adventure** A Group of Intrepid Hikers - Intrepid = Adventurous. A group for anyone who love a good hike. **Our mission:** meet fellow hikers, hike together, take breaks together and experience the beauty of nature and discover new places. Also, some fun social networking and optional jumping jacks. **Difficulty level** of hikes will vary throughout the hiking season, though please note focus of group is hiking not walking. Generally speaking every hike has uneven terrain and some basic navigating of terrain is quite necessary. Most hikes are moderate to challenging difficulty and standard pace is 2 to 4 miles per hour. Western MA Filmmakers is a chance for people making film to network, attend events, and build community.
