Network After Work - Portland ME Networking Events

Network After Work is a professional community consisting of Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Executives and thought leaders who understand the importance of building meaningful connections. Built on the idea that professionals in every industry across the world all share a common goal, to develop strong relationships that help grow their businesses and careers. Through meeting in-person and virtually, Network After Work provides a platform that makes connecting easy. Hosting live events in 87 US locations with plans to add additional US cities and international locations, growing your business and relationships has never been easier.

For 10 years, we have been at the forefront of face-to-face business connections. As social media and virtual relationships have been all the rage over the past decade, we have found that live interactions are still the best way to build solid connections. Shaking hands and looking someone in the eye is an invaluable skill and builds the strongest foundation for long lasting connection.

Though meeting in-person is our foundation, meeting virtually is a great accompaniment to our signature live events. With our goal to make your business connections long lasting and sustainable, our mission is to do everything for you, all you need is the desire to seize new opportunities and the willingness to help others.

Work From Home Wellness Group (Portland, Maine Region)

Falmouth, ME

Work From Home Wellness Group (Portland, Maine Region)
Are you working from home and missing in-person connections? This group is for you if you’re seeking new ways to connect and build community while you are working from home. We will meet monthly and the group will serve to support your mind, body, and spirit wellness. This is all about connection with yourself and with others in your community. Public health officials have declared that we are in a loneliness epidemic. While so many are loving increased flexibility related to working from home, there is a cost: less in person social interaction. This can lead to loneliness for many. Maybe the chats around the water cooler are a thing of the past but what if we come together and create new ways to connect?! These monthly gatherings are for all you remote workers in the Portland area! It’s a great opportunity for: * Anyone working from home seeking to build community and expand their local network * Solopreneurs who are feeling isolated * Those in between jobs looking to build community and network My name is Julia Maslen and I will facilitate these monthly virtual gatherings. I am a community builder, therapist, and intuitive healer who is passionate about people and committed to creating purposeful community gatherings. My mission is to create infrastructure in our community to support connection and create spaces and gatherings to bring us back together. Revive Gatherings, LLC, is all about community.

Southern Maine Sea Kayaking Network

Portland, ME

Southern Maine Sea Kayaking Network
**Southern Maine Sea Kayaking Network** (SMSKN) is an organization for ocean-going sea kayakers to meet paddling friends, learn about safe paddling, and plan trips together.  We are an all-volunteer nonprofit and have been active since 1992. Our trips are mostly in the open ocean along the wild and beautiful coast of Maine. Except for some training sessions, all trips are on tidal waters. We are an active group with trips, training sessions, and monthly membership meetings where we socialize (mostly on-line at this point) and hear interesting talks about many aspects of ocean paddling.  Additional information, including recordings of past meeting presentations, are on our website, **smskn.net**, so check there for additional paddling resources. *Sea kayaks with sealed bulkheads and static deck lines are required for our trips, as is the use of spray skirts, PFDs, and appropriate immersion protection and safety gear.* Most of our activity, including joining, event planning, and paying dues, is handled through our Meetup page, so please browse the upcoming and past events to learn more about us and what we do. If you're a long-boat ocean sea kayaker looking for paddling friends and skill-building opportunities within a fun and active year-round paddling community, you're in the right place. **Come join us!** To join, please complete two steps: 1. **Join using your full name, please, on the Meetup profile**. (The full name is for safety purposes.) Membership is $20 annually and helps pay for coaches, speakers, pool sessions, and other paddling resources. 2. **Please sign our online Participant Agreement, available on our website under Club Documents.** Again, for safety purposes, this is required of all members.
