Network After Work is a professional community consisting of Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Executives and thought leaders who understand the importance of building meaningful connections. Built on the idea that professionals in every industry across the world all share a common goal, to develop strong relationships that help grow their businesses and careers. Through meeting in-person and virtually, Network After Work provides a platform that makes connecting easy. Hosting live events in 87 US locations with plans to add additional US cities and international locations, growing your business and relationships has never been easier. For 10 years, we have been at the forefront of face-to-face business connections. As social media and virtual relationships have been all the rage over the past decade, we have found that live interactions are still the best way to build solid connections. Shaking hands and looking someone in the eye is an invaluable skill and builds the strongest foundation for long lasting connection. Though meeting in-person is our foundation, meeting virtually is a great accompaniment to our signature live events. With our goal to make your business connections long lasting and sustainable, our mission is to do everything for you, all you need is the desire to seize new opportunities and the willingness to help others. The Biz Journey: Entrepreneur Meetup Group
Welcome all entrepreneurs on a mission to create something amazing, from scratch! The Biz Journey is a group that aims to help smooth the path for YOUR own business journey by bringing together newer entrepreneurs with those seasoned in start-ups and growth, in a productive, positive community. **Who’s it for?** * Newer entrepreneurs growing or planning a business… * Seasoned serial entrepreneurs who love the rush and energy of creation… * Business experts with a “give in order to receive” philosophy. **What’s the focus?** The Biz Journey is a pressure-free community for knowledge, encouragement, and collaboration; for tips and strategies; and for forging connections… ALL to help you BEAT the infamously low start-up survival odds so you and your mission thrive. **Who’s behind it?** TBJ is led by Wendy Harrington, a 35+yr marketer, 20+ yr entrepreneur, business advisor, teacher and coach. She’s joined by an assortment of other experts who get joy from knowing they’ve helped someone sleep better at night. **Will I be sold something?** No, this group isn’t here to sell you on anything; it's a community for learning, ideation, and networking. (Sure, it’s possible that down the road you may want to buy what other attendees offer, or choose to tap into the services experts provide, but if so it would be through naturally-evolving relationships, not sales pitches at the group.) Note: Pre-vetted experts will be identified by a “Biz Journey” button. Meetings will follow an agenda that includes a focus topic; open discussion and brainstorming; and network-nurturing activities. **Join us for an upcoming in-person meeting, happy hour, or virtual event.** The group is currently free, though donations or $1 are welcome at in-person meetings, to help cover administrative costs. **Deepen member connections** through our [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/307396022256865) and [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14356430/) groups.

Boozy Book Besties

Apex, NC

Boozy Book Besties
Hello and welcome to our tribe! This is more than just a book club. We’re a community of women that share laughter, trials, joys, and transformations. This club was created for women in their 30s & 40s craving real connection in the triangle, who also happen to enjoy reading great books and drinking great bubbly! This is a warm, positive environment where you can relax and unwind with your book besties. At our social book club, we connect at meetings in member homes and local eateries in western Wake County once a month. We primarily select books that were written by women, for women. Occasionally we get together for non-book-related activities. If you’re looking for depth and connection with like-minded women, and you love to read, you’re in the right place. Come thrive with us! This group is intentionally kept small and will open to new members as needed. A few guidelines to ensure our book club is a positive experience: * Members are expected to have social awareness and treat host homes with respect, not dominate discussion time, and just generally keep it classy. * No MLM networking/sales allowed. * Please do not bring guests, (including children or pets), unless explicitly stated they’re welcome. * If you want to be part of this group it is important that you take your RSVPs seriously. There may be members on the waitlist hoping for a spot. Poor punctuality, continuous RSVP changes, and/or no-shows may lead to removal.

Triangle 30's, 40's, 50's and up Social Fun Group

Raleigh, NC

Triangle 30's, 40's, 50's and up Social Fun Group
This meetup group is open to all, whether single or not. Meet other local 30s, 40s and mid 50-something folks in a variety of fun and relaxed settings. We can hit festivals, walk or bike, Farmer's markets, Flea Market, comedy clubs, brunches, dinners, game nights, house parties, hikes, outdoor activities, trying new restaurants, or hitting up your favorite ones, and the movies, basically anything we want ;o) Plus, your ideas for activities are ALWAYS welcome - just email the organizer! or request to become one yourself. This is a group to provide a way for all ages to network. It is a nice opportunity to spend some time with the people who live around you and make some new friends. then this is the group for you. This group is for anyone who is new to the area or just looking to expand that circle of friends. We are working to become a group that you can rely on to meet new people, try new things and experience Raleigh all while laughing and connecting with like-minded people. Our intent is to make this a fun place with diverse meetups so everyone can find something that interests them. Feel free to message one of your organizers if there's a particular event or adventure you'd like to see or if you'd like to become an event host! In addition to being very friendly, we are a VERY diverse group of people with varied interests - some single, some with significant others, some with children, and others without. We look forward to meeting you at our next event! Always be mindful of the commitments you make with your RSVPs so that we are able to accommodate accordingly, but most of, let's have FUN! The only requirements are that you provide your first name, a valid HEADSHOT photo that allows us to easily recognize and greet you at our events (without dark sun-glasses or hats that cover your pretty face), and above all - be friendly! We believe our members should be active and we encourage our members to try to attend at least one event within the first couple months of joining. It takes time and effort to plan meetups: pick out places, make reservations, etc. It's not fair to others who have planned events and to those going to events if you decide to cancel last minute. To be part of this group, I am asking you to adhere to these rules. • Change your RSVP the day before if you can no longer make it. Cancelling the day of an event is not acceptable unless you have an extreme situation (e.g. last minute illness or other emergency). I once sat at a restaurant by myself for 30 minutes because 6 other people were all no shows. I understand things come up, but if you do this repeatedly, I will unfortunately have to remove you from the group. • If you sign up on the waiting list, this means that you plan to go to the event if someone else doesn't. Make sure you monitor the event. If you have scheduled something else and can no longer go, then remove yourself from the waiting list. Lots of people cancel when the event becomes closer, so there is usually a good chance you will get in. By joining the group, you agree that if you choose to participate in any given event, that you are freely doing so, and that you release all event organizers and home owners from liability or responsibility for your safety. Some events could potentially be dangerous in ways that may or may not be obvious. Some examples include, but are not limited to, sprained ankles while walking in the woods (or on flat ground), throwing out your back while dancing, tick bites if doing yoga in the park, and the list goes on... If you do not feel comfortable participating in an event, or if you do not believe that you can participate without causing injury to yourself or others, please do not participate in that particular event. If you are looking to meet new people, explore new places, or just want to have a good time in the Triangle area, then this group is for you! Our group encourages community, friendship, and fun for all through a variety of social events. Whether you are new in town or have lived in the Triangle area your whole life, we encourage you to join us! All those in the Triangle are welcome to join!
