Exeter Self-Help & Self-Improvement Meetup Group

Exeter, NH

Welcome to the Exeter Self-Help and Self-Improvement, i.e., "Makeover" Group! A little about us... Frank and Allison met in October 2022 as neighbors during unlikely circumstances. Unbeknownst to both of them, they were going through a divorce, and right away realized they had a ton in common, sharing experiences with divorce, parenting, dating, and the ebb and flow of life. Both Frank and Allison have a wide support network of friends and family, but felt like they needed connection with those going through similar circumstances, as to not burden those closest to them with what they were going through. They both quickly realized the power in connection, and that it can be empowering and life changing. Recognizing there's still healing and improvement to be done, expanding this group could provide an opportunity to reflect, be in the present moment, and continue progress in moving forward! This group is for people who are invested in themselves, glass-half full minded, who will bring a positive energy to the group. Although Frank and Allison believe in therapy (and although they believe this group will be therapeutic), this group is not group therapy. Topics of interest to enrich the group's experience: Shared experiences, discussion around emotions and tools and tips for well-being Cooking and recipes Buddy system & accountability Healthy Sleeping Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Dating (lets laugh about the cringeworthy experiences!) Bring your heart and humor, and let's connect!

Mastering negotiation and persuasion - Concord NH

The best of everything: jobs, salary, life partners, discounted prices, opportunities, absolutely everything in life... can be yours, if you know how to communicate your wishes in a way that is most agreeable to your audience. Many people feel uncomfortable negotiating, thus shortchanging themselves because they refuse to engage in the process. Some view it as manipulation; or as a contest of wills in which power determines outcome, each party seeks to one-up the other, and the little guy doesn't stand a chance. .... It doesn't have to be that way. Effective negotiation can produce an agreement that meets the needs of both sides while preserving the relationship...The key to success is remembering that everything is negotiable -- and to get a deal you must ask for one.

WHO IS THIS FOR:
