Network Fifty-Two

Westlake, OH

Network Fifty-Two

Network Fifty Two was founded in 2016 by Maria Jeancola, who has spent her entire career in business development and marketing. Maria attends upwards of 25 networking events per month to meet new people, market her business, and further enhance her knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Maria is that person who "knows everyone." If you need a painter, she knows one. How about a realtor? Yep, she knows a few. Need life insurance? Well, Maria knows a great guy to help. The point isn't that Maria is a social butterfly and engages in conversation with everyone that she meets...it is that she knows how to network. She knows the importance of building valuable relationships with people in all industries that she knows, likes, and trusts.

Maria reached a point where multiple times per day people were asking her for a referral, help networking, knowledge of any available jobs, and much more. She decided that out of all of the networking groups she was a part of, there wasn't one she was in love with. One that she looked forward to attending each week. And most importantly, one that she felt like she benefited from every single time she attended. So Network Fifty Two was born.

Every Thursday at noon, one of the chapters meet. They alternate bi-weekly between the westside and the eastside. There is no attendance requirement or membership fee like most other networking/referral groups. Just show up with lots of business cards, a smile on your face, and an open mind! Maria directs the meeting so that everyone gets a chance to talk and share what they do. She will go over any upcoming networking events that she knows of as well as ask the members to share any others. But the best part is at the end of the meeting, Maria makes sure that everyone leaves with at least one solid connection with another person in the group. That may be an exchange of business cards, a phone call, meeting over coffee, or something more. So far, the feedback from attendees has been phenomenal!

If you have any questions or would like to attend a meeting, please feel free to RSVP through Meetup or give Maria a call at 440-320-7320.

Spokes N' Jokes

Cleveland, OH

Spokes N' Jokes
Welcome to Spokes N' Jokes. We are Cleveland's Oldest Running Social Bike Riding Group on Meetup! This is a local Co-ed biking group ages 21 and up that likes to ride their bikes in a group setting. This is a non competitive group that is created to build social networks of bike riders. This is a social group, which means we put social and fun first. Anyone looking to race or brag about their bike might not fit in too well here. Spokes N' Jokes is a judgement free zone. Whether your bike is expensive or found in a dumpster, everyone is welcome here at Spokes N' Jokes. This group is laid back with the goal of exploring new trails, meeting new friends and trying new places to eat. Spokes N' Jokes is a casual cycling group. While it is not a "speed group" it is not a beginner group either. Usually speeds are between 10 to 12 mph. The group was founded with the no rider left behind motto and I stand by it. Each event organizer understands this as well. Spokes N' Jokes has evolved into a "Traveling" bike group. We feature one trail a month that is out of the area to try. We have gotten board doing the same trails over and over again so once a month, we feature something out of the area to explore. We still occasionally put up the local rides, dubbed Spokes N' Jokes classics to enjoy. Trails consist of rail trails and metro parks with the occasional Single Track thrown in there. Spokes N' Jokes is open to people who enjoy life and are not easily offended. Bikers who are compared to Lance Armstrong, Greg Lamond, or anyone attempting "X-Games" stunts are NOT going to enjoy this leisure activity especially for these rides. On our casual rides, there is a no "Lancing Policy." That means this ride is not a full throttle Olympic time trial. Faster Riders must understand the speed of the group. So if you feel like riding, trying new places, have a good sense of humor and want to meet new friends, welcome aboard! \ \*\*Spokes N' Jokes is not liable for any injuries that may occur while attending our events. By RSVPing yes to attend any event or showing up to participate, you acknowledge that you accept full responsibility of yourself as well as guests you may bring, waiving any right to hold the group and its members responsible. There are many pictures posted of many different events. Please let me know if you do not want to be photographed. \

Secret Society Comedy

Cleveland, OH

Secret Society Comedy
We believe that laughing together strengthens bonds and builds a more tight-knit community, which is why Secret Society Comedy has been hosting pop-up comedy events all over Northeast Ohio. Cleveland has a lot to offer when it comes to our food, art, and music scenes, but nothing brings people together like moments of catharsis where we can let go of who we pretend to be, and just laugh in the moment with a room full of new friends. Our mission is to help transform Cleveland into one of the best cities in the country for independent comedy, and here's how Secret Society Comedy is doing it: 1. Creating top-notch comedy experiences: From the moment you walk through our doors to the conversations you have with the comedians and fellow comedy fans following the show, you feel like you're part of something bigger than the run-of-the-mill comedy show. 2. An intimate, inclusively exclusive environment: Our shows pop up in different intimate venues every week, creating a close-knit and exclusive atmosphere. This allows the audience to have a more personal connection with the performers and each other, fostering a sense of community that is lacking at larger venues. We're in the business of creating those "you had to be there" moments. 3. Diverse and engaging lineups: When we laugh, it's our brain's way of saying "I've never looked at it that way before." By bringing together a diverse lineup of styles, perspectives, voices, and backgrounds, the shows cater to a wide audience, ensuring there's something for everyone. 4. Local and emerging talent: By providing a platform for up-and-coming talent, both local and traveling, we're contributing to the growth and development of the local comedy community, introducing traveling acts to our city and local comedy fans, and introducing you to those headlining performers who are just breaking through in the national comedy scene. From Mark Normand, to Josh Johnson, to Jordan Jensen and beyond, you never know which up-and-coming comic will take the stage at one of our shows. 5. Diversity of venues: We pop up in different locations weekly so no two Secret Society experiences feel the same. From coffee shops, to bowling alleys, to art galleries, to bars and restaurants, we believe anything can be turned into a comedy club. (But you can always catch us at the Mahall's Apartment on Saturdays at 11:30 pm). 6. A strong sense of community: By attending our shows, you become part of a like-minded group of comedy enthusiasts, providing opportunities for socializing, networking, and making new connections and friends, before and after the spotlight. Join our Secret Society -- we look forward to laughing together!
