Vancouver Outdoor and Social Adventurers (9300+)

Vancouver, BC

Vancouver Outdoor and Social Adventurers (9300+)
Calling all outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers and social networkers! Come and join us, make new friends while trying out new activities and visiting new places. Also, join us at our social and drinks evenings and other varied activities where the focus is on making new friends.  Vancouver Outdoor and Social Adventurers are also a Social Networking Group for Vancouver locals and Expats who want to meet other Locals and Expats in a relaxed and casual environment. We may still be single or may be single due to a relationship breakdown. Let’s get together and make new friends and more on. VanCity is a wonderful place but it is much nicer with friends who would like to make interesting connections with newcomers! While we are called the Expats Club, everyone is welcome to join. There is nothing better than expatriates and locals interacting and socialising together.  It allows for interesting conversations and enriching experiences. We will help you shrink the time it takes to create a social network and that too with others who are also new here. Click on the link to have a look at some of our past events - [Photo Album](https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Outdoor-Adventures/photos/32637146/) Here you can see everyone from different cultures and races meeting and having a great time and this is what we tend to achieve everytime we host! Here is how we will do things differently Ever since Covid has occurred the world has changed ways in how we function and operate. Meeting people of various cultures has become difficult with various restrictions and with online events people rarely have the opportunity of meeting face to face and this results in not getting the right opportunity to meet in person. We will always have hosts at all our events. You will always be greeted by someone at all our events and introduced to others. (Warm & welcoming hosts to help you mingle!) Click on the link to understand [WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SOCIALISE AT OUR MEETUPS!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LRateMtBKE) We will minimise no shows by requiring attendees to pay a deposit in advance. No shows are misleading and not fun for organisers nor for members. We will not disguise organisation costs in opaque ticket prices, commissions from bars or inflated set menu prices. We will instead ask for a small charge of a few pounds to help us manage the group and its activities. (Very Transparent) We will strive to attract a high quality membership who prefer higher quality venues and events. We will not be driven by happy hours, free food etc...(as all of these are eventually balanced out by much higher prices later) We will constantly request members to help us host events and take a lead on activities so that we have energy and variety. Click on the link to our website and have a look at our other cities that we host in - [https://meetconnectdevelop.com/](https://meetconnectdevelop.com/) I very much hope that you will join us and create a vibrant social community which is close knit and high quality. | | | --- | |

Vancouver Calgary Kundalini Activation Process

Vancouver, BC

Vancouver Calgary Kundalini Activation Process
Join us for enlightening gatherings across Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, and other Canadian cities. Immerse yourself in the awakening of your inner Kundalini energy through Life Force Energy/Kundalini activations, transmissions of Non-Dual States of Consciousness, Healing Circles, and Inner Guidance. Together, we’ll explore pathways to alleviate stress, deepen self-awareness, and foster a profound connection with your Higher Self. **The Essence of KAP Kundalini Activation Process** *Kundalini* is an age-old concept that represents the vital life force permeating the universe. Similar to the ancient ideas of qi or prana, kundalini is considered the root of all creation and consciousness. It lies dormant within every individual, waiting to be awakened to its full potential. **Kundalini Activation Process (KAP)** is a profound method designed to awaken this intrinsic energy within you. What sets KAP apart is its direct energy transmission, which naturally activates this awakening. Unlike practices such as kundalini yoga, tantra, or chi gong, where the emphasis is on elevating your own energy, KAP channels energy from above, gently infusing you from head to toe. This energy intuitively knows what you need, adjusting itself to your personal requirements without overwhelming you. Regular engagement with KAP can lead to significant transformations in both your brain and nervous system, paving the way for a profound spiritual awakening. Participants often encounter the various stages of awakening, from the initial stirrings to more advanced experiences. One of the beautiful aspects of KAP is its accessibility—anyone, regardless of prior experience, can partake. All that’s required is an open heart and mind, a willingness to relinquish control, and a readiness to experience the unknown. This direct flow of energy allows us to rediscover our true essence. LoLo - North Shore Activities

North Vancouver, BC

LoLo - North Shore Activities
\*\*\* If you are not feeling well, please stay home \*\*\* At this time, there are no Covid restrictions for gatherings, restaurants, or group sizes. Should the restrictions change, we'll pivot accordingly. The latest on the situation n BC https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/proof The LoLo North Shore Activities group schedules adult-oriented events mostly in North and West Vancouver, though we have been known to cross the occasional bridge or body of water! Come out and socialize with people from your community. Join us for dinner at one of the North Shore’s amazing restaurants. Or reconnect with nature on one of the many local trails. We keep the events small. Walks and hikes have a limit of 6 to 10 people, depending on how tricky the route is. Restaurants usually limit of 6 people so as not to overwhelm the waitstaff, depending on how big the restaurant is. Couple of things to be mindful of: • It should go without saying, but sadly, not always the case. Rude or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Will result in immediate ban from the group.  • If you are not able to make it to an event, change your RSVP in a timely manner so someone from the wait list can take your spot or so the Organizer can change the reservation headcount. * If you No Show, 2 strikes and you will be removed from the group. • For physical activities, please note the required minimum fitness level for the activity you are signing up for. While some of the hikes we do are rated Easy, others do require a higher level of fitness. If you are signing up for a 3+ hour hike, please bring the 10 Essentials, per North Shore Rescue. The North Shore mountains are wilderness. Dress appropriately for the terrain and the weather; pack for the unexpected. Each hiker is responsible for their own gear and safety. Make sure you bring adequate food, water, warm clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid, etc Annual fee: To help offset the annual fee I pay to Meetup.com (what, you thought it was free...?), we will be charging a nominal annual fee of $10 per person. This will be collected at the second meetup event you attend and then annually on your anniversary. Any extra money collected for the year will be donated to North Shore Rescue. Look forward to seeing you at upcoming events. Lolo Leadership Team

Tri-Cities Hiking Club

Maple Ridge, BC

Tri-Cities Hiking Club

Welcome to the Tri-Cities Hiking Club (formerly the Maple Ridge Hiking Group).

This club is focused on creating adventures for outdoor enthusiasts . Although the name suggests a focus on the Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody area, and indeed we will be posting a number of hikes in the Bunzten Lake, Burke Mountain, North Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and Mission area, but we will often look for exciting trails farther afield, up to Whistler and beyond or Chilliwack, Hope Manning Park, etc..

We will are also  planning to schedule a lot more Canoe and Kayak events.

Because I want to make this club a valuable resource for outdoor enthusiasts, we am very open to suggestions for hiking locations and/or related outdoor activities. Please feel free to post in the forum event ideas or drop the organizers a personal note. In that regard we are also looking for a few other good organizers so we always have a number of exciting activities scheduled. If you think you would like to take on a role like that, please contact Randy to talk about it.

DOG POLICY

I generally make a comment of hikes whether dogs are welcome. I post some of the hikes as dog friendly and some specifically as "please bring your dog".  On the more advanced hikes I usually mention if scrambling is required and whether I think dogs can make it.

My basic policy on dogs (and people) is if they are well behaved they are welcome.
If they cause trouble, chase the wildlife, or as happened in one case eats someone's lunch I may not invite them back.

If the hike is appropriate for dogs, feel free to bring your puppy, and if you’re well behaved I will ask the dog to bring you back another time.
