Hamilton 20s & 30s Social

Hamilton, ON

Hamilton 20s & 30s Social
This is a group for people in their 20s and 30s in the Hamilton area. We aim to create community and foster friendships by running a wide range of events such as: • restaurants • board game nights • karaoke • hiking • active events (paintball/go karting/obstacle courses etc.) • potlucks • beach days • salsa nights • ski/snowboarding • camping • pub crawls • festivals • sight seeing • other/member suggested activities This group has a warning and auto-waitlist system for anyone who no shows to events or cancels their RSVP less than 24 hours before a limited capacity event such as a dinner outing. Repeated violations will result in being AUTO-WAITLISTED. So that there's no confusion about what this means, anyone auto-waitlisted will no longer be able to attend events with a wait list until they attend three events without no showing, at which point they will no longer be auto-waitlisted. Even if they sign up and make it onto the Going list, if anyone waitlists themselves more than 24 hours before an event, the auto-waitlisted person will be moved to the back of the wait list and THEIR SPOT WILL BE GIVEN AWAY to the first person on the wait list. If they make it onto the Going list less than 24 hours before an event, they get to keep their spot. They are welcome to join any non-limited capacity event like a hike with no restrictions. However, if they no show before attending three events without no showing, they will be banned. This system keeps things fair for members with reliable RSVP histories. Time is money! There is a ten minute grace period for waiting during hikes. Traffic can suck and is totally understandable, but do your best to plan ahead and show up on time so that the group is not kept waiting. Hitting on random women (or men) in the group you've never met is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. If someone you've never met is messaging you like it's OkCupid, send me a screenshot and I will remove that person from the group. Any behaviour during events that makes people feel uncomfortable will also NOT BE TOLERATED. We want this group to be an environment where anyone can come out and have a good time without having to worry about such things. If there is an issue with anyone during an event that requires immediate attention, don't hesitate to reach out to any organizer and we will take care of it. We are always open to feedback on new event ideas and suggestions so feel free to shoot us a DM any time or reach out during an event. Many of our events have been based on suggestions from members. Hope you all have an awesome rest of 2024!
