Women need other women in their lives and it’s something many of us lack. The mandate of the group is to provide activities that allow our members the opportunity to find new friends  with whom they may interact both inside and outside the Meet Up framework. It is a known fact that friendships help protect our overall health and mental well being. Unfortunately, life can be hectic and with the demands of work, family and other responsibilities, it is not always easy to form the close bonds of  friendship.  **(Read the 6 points below before you apply)** 1\. This group is for WOMEN 40 years of age or older\.  **You must already be 40 to be accepted into the group.**  Please do not apply if you have not yet turned 40.  2\. We ask that your **group profile picture be a CURRENT head and shoulders facial photo of you alone (not of a cat, a flower, a sunset, an avatar or a tiny 'you' on the horizon)**. Seeing each other is an important aspect of introduction and connecting.  Your profile **picture will only be visible to our members** not the general public. 3\. We ask that you honour commitments you make to attend events\. If things change after you have said YES then change your RSVP or let us know after the fact by email\. **NO-SHOWS ARE TRACKED and will not be tolerated.** 4\. We do not ask that you attend any specific number of events however **if you do not** **LOG ONTO THE SITE AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 6 MONTHS** you will be removed from the active members' roll. 5\.  **You will need to SET YOUR NOTIFICATIONS TO 'ON' for at least this group**.  Many communications about personal addresses, car pools or other private sort of data is communicated via the groups email.  If you don't have it set to receive you will miss out on information and probably on events. 6\. Finally\, we are  **NOT here to promote businesses or sales enterprises**. We are a **women's social group** so please join us with that in mind. By observing these few common sense rules we all will have a great time. Please join us for coffee, dinners, hiking, shows, movies, pub nights, restaurants, photo walks, cross country skiing, and much more. Regardless of the event, we all love to get together for some good old fashioned girl talk.

Just wanted to say thank you for the teachings yesterday. It’s beautiful how the universe works and provides just what you need. I was really struggling the few days before class. It felt as if I was in an internal tornado but paralyzed at the same time. I went through my tool box/Rolodex of practices but was still struggling to find that space, that space between thoughts. But through the offerings of your teachings and the space created by the community, I was able to add more tools to the tool box and felt guided and supported while doing so. So a heartfelt thank you to you and the community. The knowing that pain/challenges are our greatest professor if we allow it, becomes much more accessible when the light and love from others is shared in support of the journey.  With love and gratitude Tina G January 27, 2022 \* I love love love the Qi blankets (practice)! I found that the Saturday morning classes were my reset button that allowed me to refresh and be ready for my gruelling week ahead. When ever I found myself in distress engaging in the classes and applying the learned grounding practises that Sunim teaches became my lifeline to tranquility. Last year with my cancer diagnosis, I was able to truly test the Qi Gong class practise and tools shared in a big way, and I can confidently say that they not only sustained me but provided me with the comfort and stamina to get through my treatments with calm and ease. The Qi Gong practise along with Sunim’s compassionate teachings always leave me feeling like I am walking on clouds, and that my body has had a inner cleansing - a restorative generative feeling that no doubt supports my continued healing in this cancer journey that I now find myself in. I do not know how I would have been able to cope without the classes, without the techniques shared and without Sunim’s compassionate presence. Sincerely hope that more people will have the opportunity to access to this modality of healing that truly is empowering and life changing. Please feel free to reach out and happy to share more about my experience with Qi Gong and Sunim. Warm regards Susan Ksiezopolski Feb, 2023 \* It was a great "virtual" class today. It was EXCITING to meet in person some of those I have only seen in your Zoom classes and I feel BLESSED to have made some new friends while for those that I knew it was FANTASTIC to see them in person once again and the opportunity to deepen our bond. Maybe more? I knew that first class that I had finally found what I was searching for and you truly have helped me ultimately find peace of mind. I am so very grateful to you and this Sangha and I cannot imagine my life without you and your teachings in it. Thank you - Sally H. ![](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t6c/1/16/2764.png) \* “I love love love love on line classes. Please do not stop them ever! So thank you for the teachings, the beautiful community you have built and simply for being you. Sending love and light." Ellen Schoffer \* “The (On-Line Class) PDFs are terrific. Both in terms of providing guidance in helping me to remember the actions, as well as the underlying reasons for the actions.” - Michael \* “I am still floating in the peace and stillness of the groundedness of my being. Thank you Sunim for the beautiful class tonight. This opportunity to be with you more regularly is such a gift it really cannot be fully expressed. Great experience on my first visit. ” — Graciela \* “ Very useful and Empowering. ” — Liane Harris \* “ After attending "Awakening: A Return to Your Original Nature" I can now say that I'm not seeking to become anything! LOL :) All is within and I'm thrilled that Hae Kwang Sunim is sharing his wisdom and aiding in my awakening. The Qigong and meditations alone are worth coming out to any meeting for and the energy work, well it’s just simply amazing! ” — Emily \* “ This was my first meeting. I was comfortable from the moment I entered the space. I shared the energy healing session of the evening with three wonderfully amazing women. With their kindness and awareness I intrinsically felt the energy that was offered to me. Inner release occurred in a number of ways and levels. I will attend again! Thank you Hae Kwang for your expertise and energy in making this happen in a safe and welcoming environment. ” — Judith Robuliak \* “I believe Qigong, Meditation, Zen, Energy Work & Healing is a wonderful way of healing oneself and others, becoming one with the Universe and understanding our purpose here. ” — Gail on Nov 13, "Mastering Zen Qigong - Step by Step" was my first introduction to Qigong and it was a great start to this healing art. Welcoming and warm group greatly enhanced the learning. Thank you and looking forward to attending future classes." — Arun \* “ In each of my three meetings with this group I was surprised to realize that I feel immediately part of the group regardless who are the other persons like me - in search of learning and practicing Qigong. I believe that this feeling is shared by all other persons I met in my last three meetings, as it is carefully guided by this Group Leadership team. ” — MIHAELA SAVU \* “ It is a life saver ;o))) ” — Dae Bosal Anna \* “ Today was my first visit and I truly enjoyed the class. The people there are so nice and welcoming. The moves that Sunim showed were easy to follow. I love the music, Qigong, the meditation, stretching, the experiences were amazing! My favourite part was when we were playing with the energy ball, I could actually felt the magnetic feeling in my hands. Also the part when we used our fingers to pull out bad energies and I could feel the tingling on my legs as I move my fingers up my body, that's awesome! The class is so relaxing, the group discussion in the end was a nice touch, like a story telling, or sharing experiences with each other. I will be back for more. Thank you so much, Sunim, you are a great instructor!” — Kim \* “ Went to my first Inner Peace Qigong Meetup and it was great .... positive energy and the Q & A afterwards gives you insight into what you are going wrong and what you can do try and change. ” — Amanda \* “ Thoroughly enjoyed myself last night…. Loved the flow, energy and softness of the class. This is just what my body & mind needs… I experienced my own Qi and it felt like I was an instrument of much grace & love moving through the air... Just Wonderful… I so look forward to attending future classes...BTW\~\~ Feeling pretty AWESOME today!! This is a very good class for everyone who is interested into meditation, energy work or a stress reducing activity. ” — Mirela M. \* “Excellent... this is what I'm looking for. ” — Lissie Kitchin \* "I was given a teaching that said on the day of your birth that instead of receiving (although the teaching last night was a gift gratefully received), you give back to all the people, experiences that have helped, are helping you Be You. I thank this Sangha - the good people I am meeting, the practice, the sharing that is expanding, grounding, each of us in our own unique ways to be Our Best Selves. Who knew ( I did not) when I came into this world, that I would be sharing this walk at this time with such genuinely heartfelt, beautiful people . My 'legs', I know, are still wobbly from having fallen (thus the ego voice is still seeking 'contol') but my Heart knows the Way Home. It really does. And isn't that the heartbeat we hear, we feel, when we gather together? So, Thankyou to Everyone for the support, Love we offer one another from within this Sangha and to you Sunim, - I have heard you say a few times that 'we' (the members) create the Sangha . Yet, there would be no Sangha if it weren't for the 'ground' you have created, offering All a Sacred (safe) Space to feel welcome to enter and Just Be and for that I contine to Thank You. Love to All." \- Sintaa\- June 12\, 2023
