We have walks every Sunday meeting either at Piccadilly Stockport town centre or Hazel Grove Park and Ride car park. We also have cycle rides, evening walks in summer, pub nights every Friday, week-ends away, holidays, talks and slideshows. An annual subscription of £7.50 is collected each January should you decide to become a regular member. You may attend two events free after which you will need to pay the membership fee.

We are a mixed social walking group based in South Manchester. We are an established group with a large membership and we have additionally now become a Meetup group. We offer walks every Sunday meeting either at Brooklands Metrolink Station car park M33 3SQ in Sale for car share or at the start of the walk. We also have midweek walks, Wednesday evening walks in summer, weekends away and a variety of social events. New faces are always welcome. You may join us for up to 3 events before membership is required. You can however join SWAG at any time, without attending any walks or events first. Membership costs just £8 per year. Attendance at all events is at the individual's own risk. The group will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss occurring as a result of any group event or in connection with travel to such an event. When transport is shared, please remember to offer the driver a contribution towards petrol expenses. You should ensure that you are properly equipped for walks: walking boots, waterproofs, rucksack, extra clothing, packed lunch and drinks are all essential. Participation on walks is at the discretion of the walk leader. Please check with the walk leader before bringing a dog. Hi and welcome to the Lancashire metal detecting group. I'm Michael, and originally from Lancashire, Burscough I decided to start up a metal detecting group, as I've always had an interest in anything old with history to it. I started the hobby a couple of years ago, so I'm fairly new to detecting and it would be great to find like minded people who have the same interest. When started I purchased the Simplex detector and headed to the beach after work. Unfortunately for me I had my steel toe cap boots on and almost dug up most of the beach. :D A lesson learnt , don't make the same mistake! This is a group for anyone interested in metal detecting, outdoor activities, exploring and living life to the fullest. There are no charges for joining the group, and no charge for the attending. OutdoorLads in the North West

Every weekend OutdoorLads runs a range of sociable outdoor activities all over the UK - things like hiking, climbing, camping, biking, canoeing, sailing and skiing. The group is a charity run by its members for its members, so while everything is done to the highest professional standards, the prices are kept low. All over the country people with different ages and backgrounds are joining OutdoorLads – the group has over 19,500 members and is growing.

One thing that characterises every OutdoorLads event is the friendly and welcoming nature of the guys you meet. Everyone mucks in to help make sure everyone has a good time and events run smoothly and ‘first event jitters’ quickly disappear.

The group has had a significant impact on its members – with 89% of members surveyed recently saying ‘it has had a very positive impact on their life’, 70% saying they ‘have made loads of new friends though OutdoorLads’ and 84% saying they have ‘been able to try loads of new things with the group’.
