Sociable Summit - Wellness & Adventure Touring (UK & Europe)

Sociable Summit - Wellness & Adventure Touring (UK & Europe)
Hi and welcome to the Sociable Summit Meetup Community Group. A place for like minded, outdoor enthused individuals who want to get together and have some fun, recharge and we sometimes put the world to rights, in a good way of course. I'm Jacky, and I love Enriching Lives through Adventure Touring and Wellbeing Experiences, and more often than not I aim to combine the two to create an amazing travel tour! I started this group in 2019 as a general meeting arena for like-minded travellers, being in the adventure travel industry I was keen to expand my network. I have since created my own independent travel company specialising in adventure touring and wellbeing experiences. Sociable Summit was founded in 2021. You can check out the website, and you'll find a host of adventure and wellbeing experiences in the UK, and overseas in Morocco and South Africa. I decided to keep the Meetup group running and wanted to still have a selection of trips and days outdoors that were more 'entry-level' in terms of costing - with less frills, but still provided a fabulous experience. This meetup group, and you, are where the company started, and I love that. I'll be introducing an annual membership fee of £10 from April '24. This will cover the cost of the group meetup fee, admin costs, a funded summer social evening, and left over money will be donated to outdoor charity True North, who have a youth initiative in '24 - working to get outdoor education into the national curriculum in schools. If you'd like to join one of the tours on my website or have any questions, you can send me a direct email to jacky@sociablesummit.com or WhatsApp me on +44(0)7957 716 949. Look forward to meeting up, Jacky

Whole Foods & Raw Vegan Lifestyle

Newcastle Upon Tyne, 41

Whole Foods & Raw Vegan Lifestyle
**Welcome to the Whole Foods & Raw Vegan Lifestyle Meetup Group!**   **Our aim is to build a supportive community** This group is for anyone interested in a whole foods approach to health, happiness, and fitness - mind, body, and spirit. Our aim is to create a supportive community that enables people to have fun, meet like-minded people, and become healthier by sharing knowledge and experiences with each other. We do focus on eating the rainbow - colourful fruits and vegetables packed with nutrition be they cooked or raw. Whatever your reasons or level of interest in whole-cooked and/or raw foods, you are welcome to join. You do not need to be vegetarian or vegan to join. Curious omnivores are welcomed to join. **Benefits of a whole foods lifestyle** An active whole foods plant-based lifestyle is great for your health, well-being, and longevity, it respects and shows compassion for other species and it helps reduce the adverse impact of human activity on the Planet such as climate change, rainforest destruction, the decline in biodiversity, ocean acidification and pollution.   **Social events and activities** With these benefits in mind, we will be organising events in and around the North East of England such as potlucks, dining out, lunches, talks, debates, yoga, gong baths, classes, challenges, hikes, picnics, and trips. If you have ideas for future events, please do let us know.   **Areas and locations** We organise events in and around North East of England including Durham, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Darlington, Teesside, Saltburn-by-the-seas, and the surrounding areas. We also organise events to other parts of the UK such as weekend hiking trips, going vegan festivals, and day trips to dine out in other towns and cities.   **Membership**   Membership to join the group is free and will remain free. This model is used by the very best and most successfully managed vegan Meetup groups across England, Wales, and Scotland. A Meetup site for an unlimited number of members costs only around £138 a year. We have chosen not to pass this cost on to our members. All we ask is that you eat plant-based vegan foods when you attend the group activities. If you know people that may be interested in the group's activity you are welcome to invite them to join. Our mission is to help develop and evolve a supportive community for people interested in a healthy plant strong and vegan lifestyle. We also do not accept money from sponsors. Sponsors listed are simply restaurants, products, and bloggers that we advocate as they offer great whole plant-based nutritional dishes, foods, or content. Instead, we partner and collaborate with our group members and third parties to design and organise events. The group makes no profits from events.  As a member, you can also bring along friends to events. Children can attend our events, provided they are accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult. Our organisers are enthusiastic volunteers.  Our Facebook Page: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/177978515870634/](https://www.facebook.com/groups/177978515870634/) We very much look forward to meeting you at our events. By taking part in any of our events you accept that you do so entirely at your own risk!

Professionals who Reflect

Newcastle Upon Tyne, 41

Professionals who Reflect
This Meetup is for professionals who would like to increase their work-related levels of insight, gratitude and well-being - through sessions that make self-reflection into a group activity. To thrive in the workplace is not only about what happens to us but about how we respond to what happens. There is a space between stimulus and response. Reflection helps us extend that space. Our members include people who work in work in healthcare, universities, coaching, marketing and broad leadership roles. The Meetup is organised by Richard Dyter, the founder of a social enterprise that makes it easier for people to reflect, think and write. We have three big ideas. Firstly, we seek to bring a collective dimension to individual reflection. No-one else can do your reflection for you - but it helps to do your reflection **alongside** others, using common prompts and structures. Secondly, we use the space around us to help us lay out thoughts and gain clarity. This spatial approach fits with the genius ideas of the late David Grove, inventor of Emergent Knowledge and Clean Language. Our third big idea is to finish with output that you could potentially share with colleagues or via social media. This gives extra value to our time together. By attending regularly, you can build up a personal stock of intellectual assets. [Here's an example](https://www.canva.com/design/DAGBitTRERA/WUBXyj4e0s7erLmq9dI1jg/edit?utm_content=DAGBitTRERA&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton). Please take a look at recent events and see if this Meetup is for you. If we seem a match then please join one of our online events!
