Hi and welcome to the Lancashire metal detecting group. I'm Michael, and originally from Lancashire, Burscough I decided to start up a metal detecting group, as I've always had an interest in anything old with history to it. I started the hobby a couple of years ago, so I'm fairly new to detecting and it would be great to find like minded people who have the same interest. When started I purchased the Simplex detector and headed to the beach after work. Unfortunately for me I had my steel toe cap boots on and almost dug up most of the beach. :D A lesson learnt , don't make the same mistake! This is a group for anyone interested in metal detecting, outdoor activities, exploring and living life to the fullest. There are no charges for joining the group, and no charge for the attending. Welcome to Rammy Mountain Bikers! We meet regularly and offer a variety of rides to suit all abilities. From beginner cross country rides to more adventurous challenging off road rides. Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to enjoy our sport, with all the benefits of riding in a social group. As well as regular rides, we also arrange days out to Trail centres, weekend trips away in the UK as well as overseas. We welcome new members to join us but please be aware our ride leaders are not instructors and do not hold any formal qualifications. We will always help and support each other when needed, and will never leave a group member behind, but all riders must accept that mountain biking is a dangerous sport, and that individual riders are responsible for their own safety. **Six Bricks Certificate Courses** SIX BRICKS, developed by Care for Education in partnership with the Lego® Foundation, is a programme of short simple exercises and activities, many of which only take a couple of minutes to do. They are not a curriculum but they are designed to support all areas of development in the curriculum. They help to wake up a child’s brain and get them moving, thinking and remembering. Every child has a set of six bricks, one of each colour (Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Light blue and Dark blue). The teacher or professional can then quickly and easily facilitate an activity at any time. Repetition brings about better organization of the brain and the secret of the success of these activities lies in their regular repetition which enables children to consolidate new knowledge.
