Welcome to our friendly and informal Leeds-based sports, fitness and social activities meetup group! Open to all abilities and fitness levels!

Here's just some of what we arrange: Regular social tennis and tennis coaching sessions, badminton, walks, running, cycle rides and circuit training. Social activites include picnics, pub quizes, plus the odd stargazing evening and a few science lectures - we regularly go to the Cafe Scientifique talks in Chapel Allerton. 

The group is set up so that all members are able to schedule their own sports, fitness or social group activities, so feel free to join and share your own event ideas too.

This group is for both women and men, single, separated or in a couples. Join in the events that are advertised, suggest your own events or let us know if there are days/time that would suit you better and we will do our best to accommodate this. We are always willing to try new activities too! Events don't only need be in Doncaster as long as getting there is possible. Any questions about what to expect, just message an organiser.
For new members, we are happy to message/meet 1:1 before your first event or arrive early to meet you for events you are booked on. This is a common request so don't feel that it is asking for too much. Our aim is to get people out and socialising so we will help anyway we can :) We pride ourselves on representing an active group, so members who haven't been active on the meet up page within the last 12months will be removed. This isn't a ban and you're free to rejoin any time. We have a Whatsapp group for members to use for events and motivation after you’ve attended your first event. Welcome to Let's Get Outdoors. \ We have the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales & Wolds, North York's Moors and Lake District all within easy reach.\ This is a group that offers a range of routes for various abilities & preferences across the great outdoors, this ranges from lower level short distance walks, to higher fell hikes with distance and at times scrambles too. Distances will range from around 6 to 20+ miles to cater for all abilities and will be organised on weekends and on occasion mid week + evenings too, along with some weekends away and social events. All our event hosts are all passionate volunteers who want to make the most of the great outdoors. If you want to learn new routes or simple extend your experiences with a friendly inclusive group, who promote positive experiences for new and seasoned members, then join an event and start the journey. We are a group based in West Yorkshire, for people who want to climb or have days out in the hills and mountains. The group has being going for 12yrs (as of Jan 22). We are a very busy, friendly group with a small core of enthusiastic, committed and experienced climbers. When the weather allows meet weekly to climb outdoors (mainly 'Trad' but some 'sport') alongside regular bouldering meets, during the summer months and as often as the weather allows during the winter. We also meet at least weekly indoors at climbing walls (mainly Big Depot on Thursdays, further afield Harrogate, Sheffield etc on Sundays). During the summer months we have several residential meets in the Lakes and Snowdonia, staying in YHAs, bunkbarns or camping, and now have a 'Winter Escape' trip to Spain. We are also giving some thought to walks, social events and more European climbing destinations. **We need to make it clear that, whilst some of us have years of experience, we are not instructors or professionally qualified to teach climbing and we are not responsible for teaching new climbers to belay etc.** **If you are new to climbing:** please join us when you have completed the wall's induction programmes: for boulderers this is generally basic instruction, for lead climbing you will need to have completed a relevant course in top rope belaying and lead belaying **Climbers:** those who are already competent and can sign themselves in can come along to any event. **Membership:** £10 for the year to cover the meetup costs. We ask you to pay once you start climbing with us on a regular basis. We have a number of spare harnesses,pairs of shoes, helmets and belay devices which we can lend out (please let us know before the meeting whether you need to borrow anything. Alternatively, equipment can be hired at climbing walls. Additionally, before joining us you should read the BMC participation statement which states: "The BMC recognize that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement." If you do not accept full responsibility for for your own actions and involvement in any outdoor activities please do not join this group, Yorkshire Climbers cannot accept responsibility for the actions of its members and advises everyone to get adequate insurance for the activities they want to take part in, Insurance details can be found on the BMC site. One Wheel Leeds are an inclusive friendly group of unicyclists, aspiring unicyclists, and jugglers on the South-East side of Leeds. We meet for periodic outdoor events covering a range of disciplines in a range of locations (typically within the greater Leeds area). Due to limited interest in the better weather, our regular weekly social session is no longer taking place - we'll reevaluate this in over winter 2023. Whether you're a veteran or totally new to all of this you'll fit right in here. Equipment is provided for indoor sessions, and can also be provided for outdoor rides as required.

Basketball games will be organised regularly in indoor and outdoor courts, depending on demand and availability. Anyone with basic basketball skills and is welcome to join the group and participate. Wakefield Museum Meet Up is all about meeting new people and connecting through creative activities! If, like me, you are full of get up and go, and dislike staying home watching telly, join this group for fitness walks, discos, drinks, eating out, cultural events, movie nights and general shenanigans with a happy-go-lucky crowd. I expect the activities in this group to appeal to men and women aged 35 to 65 but there are no age restrictions per se. No membership fees but each event will incur a £1 charge for attendance to cover MeetUp costs. Any additional fees (entrance fees, eating out etc) will of course be in addition. I welcome any suggestions for events; and if you would like to host something yourself, just drop me a message! **Just a note on health and safety**, you are responsible for yourself and the group / hosts takes no responsibility in that department. Welcome👋 The aim of this group is to have a monthly meet up for people over the age of 30. My sister (Jess) and I, have found that it can be quite difficult to meet new people at this stage of life and a lot of social activities seem to revolve around drinking. We are here to provide an alternative! Activities will include city walks🚶‍, country walks🚶‍, meals, bowling🎳, cinema trips🍿, picnics 🧺(weather dependent), mini golf 🏌, murder mysteries 🕵 and anything else we think will be fun. Jess also has a very energetic Double Doodle 🐶(they exist... a cross between a Cockapoo and a Labradoodle) that would love to partake in some of the activities. This aims to be a very inclusive group and we would like to have members from all walks of life to be able to meet up and have fun. Take A Hike is a friendly walking group for younger ramblers (roughly aged 20’s to 40’s) based in the Leeds/Bradford region. New members are always welcome! Our group was founded in 2002 and is run entirely by volunteers. We are just one of around 500 Ramblers groups across Britain. Take A Hike is a great way to meet people and explore the area.
