Herts outdoors

This is an initiative for happier and healthier people.

We were walking, hiking and spending time outdoors as part of various meetup groups. We were acutely aware of how being outdoors makes one feel calmer, at peace and also bestows a sense of achievement. As a person, when you experience something so enriching, you want to pass it on to your others too.

The crispness of the air, the clarity of the water, the vastness of the space, the sheer beauty of the landscape - we wanted these to be part of our life. We knew with personal experience that being with nature will aid them to find a joy within - a precious life skill that will help make their lives happier in the long run.

If you are a parent, professional, or individual, and are looking to rekindle yourself with nature and have great fun whilst at it, then you have come to the right place.

If you are already an outdoor-focused person, brimming with ideas of things to do outdoors and would love to pass the bug on to others, you have come to the right place. We are always looking for people like you to join the team.

If you are an outdoor professional in any outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, sailing, kayaking, biking, etc. and think, your values and mission resonates with ours, and would like to team up with us in creating more outdoor opportunities, then if you have come to the right place.

We:

- organise fun, outdoor days out, and wild weekends away with or without family

- encourage and provide support to our members to arrange similar meetups in their area

- Support outdoor professionals around the UK and why not abroad.

🎉🎊🎈🥳Stress-free FUN Walks near Milton Keynes🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Welcome to MK's "THE" most funny Hiking , Travel & Activity based social group for people who seek an active life style in a balanced way. Read our Reviews to know more. **My Aim** What I envision from this group is creating a group of nice , friendly & thankful people interested in active life style. As free walks sometimes attracts selfish people who try to get things free without appreciating the effort in organizing it or not being friendly to fellow walkers , I will remove such unfriendly people from the group. **Salient Features** 1. We are different from other free groups as I limit the group size & ensure that only nice & friendly people are kept in the group. I guarantee that You will meet nicer people here as I vet and remove unfriendly people. 2. We are very social , we always have funny self introductions & games to break the ice. 3. We are more explore minded & interested in history , flora & fauna of the places where we visit. 4. We are more spiritual & free minded & into things like yoga , meditation etc. 5. We always have pub lunches (But you are free to bring your own food too). 6. Ideally , distance will be around 16k. We will stick to moderate but regular exercise. Free Meditation & Yoga Milton Keynes

Springfield, B9

Free Meditation & Yoga Milton Keynes
This community group was started in Milton Keynes to invite all those who might be interested in learning to meditate and for those who actually want to achieve Yoga. Many are curious as to what meditation or yoga actually is and what's it all about? The meetings aim to provide that insight and know how. The charity offers free bespoke classes that are designed to help those attending get into a genuine meditative state, which can be felt tangibly. It is quite effortless and spontaneous. The free classes feature introductory talks, video's, practical workshops and general question and answer opportunities, making them perfect for seekers trying to establish a state of yoga, and they are available across London most evenings and throughout the UK. Sahaja Yoga free meditation classes help attendees to achieve a deep state of peace and spiritual awareness in life. Try Sahaja Yoga meditation classes and see for yourself the improvement to your mental, physical and emotional state. Learn and experience…- Simple meditation techniques. Guided meditations to help reduce stress and achieve the peace of true meditation. Tips on how to help stay in balance during the day and how to meditate at home. The meditation is based on connecting with the inner chakras (energy centres) and balancing the subtle body. The tradition and aims of meditation are explained which in essence is to be in the present with no mental activity or thoughts about the past or the future. Occasionally there are 1 day retreats to help those interested, deepen their individual experience and hear advice and tips from those who have been practicing for some time. It’s ultimately all about getting into ‘thoughtless awareness’, a natural state of being.

Luton - Dunstable Activities, Dining & Social Group

Luton, A5

Luton - Dunstable Activities, Dining & Social Group
Welcome to this Meetup group, for people who live in Luton, Dunstable and the surrounding areas, who’d like to take part in social activities on a regular basis, meet new friends and lead an active social life. Our typical members range in age from 20s to 60s, but there are no constraints on age (as long as you’re over 18)! We aim to discover unique and unusual local activities and events, together with regular, more traditional Meetups like meals, theatre trips, live music and walks. Our aim is to create a balanced social calendar for single people and couples alike :-)   Most of our events take place in the three counties but sometimes we venture further afield to London.   Our walks are led at a decent pace but we don’t frantically march you from start to finish; our emphasis is more on being sociable rather than just clocking up the maximum distance in the minimum time. We like to be able to maintain a conversation as we walk and you won’t get left behind if you stop to tie your shoelace! Previous Meetups have included a Mad Hatters Tea Party, a Ukulele Jam, a Butterfly Walk, Trampolining, a Narrow Boat Cruise and many more.   We’re always looking for new ideas, so please share with us your thoughts for future events.     PROFILE PHOTO To join this group, you must be easily recognisable from your profile photo. Please note we can’t accept photos from linked social media accounts if your face is not clearly visible. MEMBERSHIP DONATION We are asking members to make a voluntary membership contribution – for example a few pounds per year - to cover the cost of having this group on the Meetup site. (Sadly it’s not a free service to the Organisers!) This can be done by PayPal to: **lutondunstableactivities@gmail.com** Please choose the option for paying friends & family, not a business, so no PayPal fees are deducted. ... or in person when you attend an event. (PS We don't read any emails sent to that Gmail address, it's just for PayPal!) Your member donation also covers your membership of our sister group on Meetup – Luton Cineworld Cinema Lovers, so you can head over to join that group too if you enjoy films! ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR POLICY This group has an Acceptable Behaviour Policy. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with it. The policy can be seen here: [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U_FoXKK3c6PS6kg7-FD1AFr1J_bOYXhIgj9vScGQkPg/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U_FoXKK3c6PS6kg7-FD1AFr1J_bOYXhIgj9vScGQkPg/edit?usp=sharing) In short, we don’t tolerate harassing behaviour towards other members and such behaviour may lead to your removal from the group.   We also ask you to bear in mind that this is neither a dating site nor a mental health support group. Although there are many wonderful Meetup groups dedicated to these two purposes, our group is about friendship, fun and light-hearted conversation.   People come to our events to escape the stresses and strains of their daily life rather than examine and discuss them at length. Whilst numerous romances have actually blossomed from people meeting at our events, our members are unlikely to respond favourably if you just start randomly messaging them through the site with your best chat up lines!     ATTENDANCE OF EVENTS   In addition, we ask that all members keep in mind the fact that our Event Organisers are hosting their events completely voluntarily, in their own time and we need to make the events as straightforward as possible for them to run!   The absolute basic requirement of all members is therefore to ensure that you keep your RSVPs up to date. If you put your name down to attend an event and later cannot make it, please either change your RSVP to ‘No’ ahead of the event or if the event has already started, write a comment in the event to let the host know you are no longer coming.   Occasionally certain events where reservations have been made at venues will require a non-refundable deposit for this reason.   You may be removed from the group for repeated “No Shows” or last minute drop outs. RISK DISCLAIMER Please note that all members take part in all activities solely at their own risk should any personal loss, accident, illness or physical injury occur during an event. RECEIVING OUR EVENT NOTIFICATIONS Please check your Profile settings to ensure you’re opted in to receive emails from our Organiser. We only send occasional emails regarding important communications. Meetup will also email you to notify you when we list new events. Having problems receiving our emails?
