Public Speaking @ Swavesey Speakers (Toastmasters Int'l)
Swavesey, C3
Does the thought of speaking in public make you anxious?
Would you like to learn how to control your nerves and take charge?
Or would you like to refine your skills?
We can help you to:
*Feel in control when speaking in public
*Answer questions 'on the spot' with confidence
The 'learn by doing' approach promoted by Toastmasters International might be just what you need. Once you start, you will improve your confidence and improve your public speaking and presenting skills quicker than you ever imagined!
We meet on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 9 pm at the Memorial Hall in Swavesey (meetings are currently online, please contact us to confirm we are back to 'in-person' meetings). Every meeting is different as members sign up to give speeches, take on meeting roles and take part in the impromptu speaking session (Table Topics).
Please join the Meet Up group if you'd like to keep up to date with our activities. We usually have between 8 and 15 people at every meeting and members use the club website for meetings, feel free to have a look - https://swaveseyspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org/. Members sign up for speeches and meeting roles at their own pace.
Guests are welcome to attend their first two meetings free of charge. There is a small ongoing membership fee of £10 per month to cover resources, venue and refreshments.
We look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon! Feel free to get in touch if you have more questions.
