Hi Everyone! I've recently moved to Plymouth (from Canada!) and I realized that there isn't much of a way to meet new people in the area, especially as someone who is self-employed. So I thought I would create one!

This social group is for anyone in the Plymouth and surrounding area, who enjoy dancing, dining, pubs, clubs, outdoor activities, road trips, dinner parties, and other social activities. Basically anyone who wants to meet new people,including if you're single, a couple, a parent, new-in-towners, and people who have been in Plymouth for a while and are simply looking for a new group to go out with.

My primary goal for this group is to foster friendships.

Whether it's during the day, evening or weekends there are outdoor activities, food and local events at almost every moment 🙂.** The aim of the group is to bring together down to earth, fun and sociable optimists who are open to a variety of experiences. You are encouraged to offer your recommendations and suggestions, ranging from your fabulous and not-so-fabulous southwest experiences. Events can be anything related to the pursuit of adventure, food or cultural fulfilment and are only limited by our imagination. We often focus on having smallish meet ups (predominantly 6 to 16 people) which makes it easier to get to know others within the activity... **MEMBERSHIP:** **To help cover the running cost of the group, we will invite you to contribute £1/£2 per person for each meetup attended. Alternatively, you can request to pay a £5 annual membership. This helps to cover the site membership fees and administration.** Membership options: PAY AS YOU GO - pay £1/£2 subs each time you attend an event ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP - £5 per person per year from the 1st day of you joining which will allow you to attend all sessions during your membership year subs-free. Looking to get some peeps together to form a group for social activities like foraging, litter picking, fundraising, walks, kite flying (and other random ideas), meals out, gigs, book clubs, ..... and of course a chat and a laugh. Many are curious as to what meditation or yoga actually is and what's it all about?  The meetings aim to provide that insight and know how.   The charity offers free bespoke classes that are designed to help those attending get into a genuine meditative state, which can be felt tangibly. This group is partly about connecting screenwriters in Devon and Cornwall, but is also for *anyone* interested in writing screenplays, and especially in receiving and providing feedback on a completed TV or feature script. So there is no requirement to be in Cornwall or Devon (or even the UK!) to attend our virtual meetings, but note that any in-person activities will likely be based in Devon or Cornwall. We currently have two main activities: One is a monthly meeting (held via zoom) at which we provide feedback on one feature or two TV scripts. The idea is simple: the scripts are posted one week before the meeting for group members to read in advance, then at the meeting everyone provides constructive feedback to the author(s). We also organize real world meetings, which at present are simply mixers (and typically occur in Plymouth on a roughly monthly basis), but in future these might involve group members meeting up during a writing festival. We may also meet in Exeter in the near future. If any group member would like to host an in-person meeting, perhaps closer to their own area or in association with a particular event, I'd be very happy to chat about this!
