F.R.I.E.N.D.S & Social Group.
Hello 👋 I hope all is well with you and thank you for your initial interest. Why join F.R.I.E.N.D.S & Social Group? If you’re a little nervous to join, please let me assure you from the off as a new member you will feel comfortable and always inclusive. Of which will continue while you’re with us. This is because we are welcoming, friendly and like minded individuals who want to meetup and have a great time at events such as dining out, lunches, walks, festivals, crazy golf, picnics, Zoos, comedy, tributes and much more (pub crawl’s excluded). As long as you’re over 18 (with the odd exception). Single or in a relationship you’re welcomed. Formalities; In order to keep this community active, relevant and transparent the number you see listed will always be actual committed group members and to achieve this I may remove members who haven't shown any activity with the group for over 6 months or who RSVP for events and just don't turn up.I will also reserve the right to cancel a membership if there is any disrespect to others and consistent signing up and pulling out of events, with no refund of membership. If you sign up and later can't make it, please move your name to "Not Going" before the RSVP deadline or notify the Event Host! That's the polite thing to do. Please can you make sure you add a current and clear photo of yourself (only). So the hosts and others can recognise you. If you pay in full to a host for them to book your place at an event be aware that if for any reason your are no longer able to attend, please move your name to "Not Going" . You are welcome to post your offer on the board to see if anyone would like to take your place and any payment transactions would have to take place between you and the new receiver and the new receiver must make sure they sign up to the event. Please note when paying a deposit for an event this is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or if the deposit hasn’t already been accounted for (paid to venue). Plus One’s: If you would like to bring a non member with you, that’s absolutely fine. However, if you wish to bring that same person to more than 2 events. To be fair to the paying members I will need to request they join the group, which of course I hope they do. But if they don’t, sadly I cannot permit for them to attend any further. Fee; I wish I could offer free membership. But alas Meetup does charge for this great platform. So, I have a small £8 (subject to change) yearly joining fee, which can be paid via PayPal or bank transfer. Further details can be advised. If you’re still unsure about joining, the 4.7 out of 5 star rating from members will, I hope give you the push to take the plunge. Bye 👋 take care and we really hope to see you. Karen Organiser

Bounce Back Club - Singles who want to have fun again!

Bounce Back Club - Singles who want to have fun again!

The Bounce Back Club is .... a social group .... for singles.

But, it's not a dating club. So, no dating events and no expectation or pressure to date anyone. Instead, you'll meet like-minded people and make friends. If friendship blossoms into something more, that's a bonus!

It's an ideal group for lots of people. You might be new to the area and looking to make friends, recently out of a relationship or happy to be single, but looking to expand your social life. Whatever the reason, you are very welcome to be part of a friendly group.

Most events are in Kent and are organised to create an active social life for everyone.

I try to make events LOCAL and AFFORDABLE for the majority of members, spacing out more costly events throughout the year.

There are regular weekly and monthly events, in addition to many one-off events. Past events have included Lindyhop, Salsa classes, swimming, archery, pub quizzes, cinema trips, walks, live bands, Festivals, meals out, bowling, greyhound racing, trips to Europe - to name but a few.

If you intend to join the group, please be aware that there is a modest annual Membership Fee of £5.00, payable on joining, and then a £1.00 Meetup Fee per Event. This helps keep the group active throughout the year, helps pay for the organiser dues and allows me to attend more of the events that I organise. Running the group is a lot of fun, but requires a great deal of time and effort.

There are hardly any 'rules' in the group. 'Nice' people don't need them! However, I do ask you to upload a profile photo, clearly of yourself. Just a natural photo of you with a smile.

So, don't be shy... send me a request to join. I will send you details about how to pay your £5.00 Membership Fee. As soon as your payment is confirmed, I'll approve your Membership and your Payment will appear on your profile.

TRAVEL BUDDIES CONNECT UK
I started this group over eight years ago to make new friends and find new interesting places to visit. Travelling is my passion and would be more fun sharing holiday adventures with like-minded people. I would like to travel to places that I haven’t visited before and I'm currently planning trips for 2024/25. My aim is to add fun, exciting and interesting places to visit in the UK, Europe and long haul. I endeavour to give the best travel experience with good value for money. With this in mind, I hope you will join us on an adventure sometime in the future. Please take a look at the trips listed. I am in collaboration with many reputable companies that offer discounted prices for group bookings and hold ABTA & ATOL protection. Once a month we usually meet at a restaurant or pub. I look forward to meeting you in the near future. Please feel free to contact me, everyone is welcome. The Dolly Mixtures - Medway Kent

Rochester, G5

The Dolly Mixtures - Medway Kent

Please note:
Please provide a full photo - when requesting to join the group. This is a ladies only group.

New members wanting to join The Dolly Mixtures, please be aware that some commitment is required - as I only hold occasional meetups within the month and they are mostly all held at a Fixed Venue; within the Medway area. It is especially important that members try and come along and give the Dolly Mixtures a go, The group is a made up of very friendly and welcoming ladies; all waiting to meet you!!

The Group is aimed for ladies ages 40 and upwards, I am reaching out to members who preferably live in the Medway area- ie: Strood/Rochester/Higham or any surrounding Medway Towns- but I do have members that come from Gravesend/Dartford/Sittingbourne and sometimes a little further afield so if you are willing to commute the distance, then I have no problem with you joining the Dolly Mixtures.
My main purpose is to bring together "like minded individuals" from a variety of backgrounds and cultures- to "form friendships be supportive of each other " and "have a laugh" and this year we are starting to get fit together!
As my group is a small setting, I only have limited places for members at each meet-up so my intention is to take on members who "are genuine and actively want to particpate with the Dolly Mixtures Group" if you are an individual who is finding it hard to make friends through work or hobbies, or maybe you are on the "quieter side" then this group might be for you, who knows what new friends you might make!
Meetups will include:
Having a drink together, and optional food is available; having a chat and a laugh along the way!

• Occasional "Sunday Roasts" will try and coincide those with farmers market days

• Coffee shop catch ups mid week and some weekends

• Card games including"Uno" and "Chase the Queen"
• Occasional day trips, cinema and walks

• Gym and swimming.

'Remember their are no strangers just friends whom have never met'

*** Please note: I now charge an annual £6 non refundable membership fee and this will be payable on the first meet up or via bank transfer - starting from April each year. This cost covers my expenses, and re-coups my costs of running and arranging meetups every month.

What I ask from my members - note: this is a small group so any non attendance obviously impacts on the group greater, please therefore consider this before responding as spaces are limited and if you can no longer attend please let us know as soon as possible so the space can be filled by another. If you find you have failed to attend I would expect an explanation for this for the event leader. Please note that 3 non attendances can constitute removal from the group and this is at the discretion of the event leader and myself Note that guests are welcome at some events if there is space available. Do doublecheck that you can bring a guest to avoid disappointment as of course members take priority.

Also to note, we have become a very jolly, harmonious, close, kind group and we welcome wholeheartedly new friends to join us so don't worry we were all new girls once, hope to see you soon ***
