Life Coaching Workshops - Outdoors or Online

Wokingham, 03

Life Coaching Workshops - Outdoors or Online

An affordable and sociable way to experience the benefits of life coaching... and give yourself a bit of you time!

 - Are you feeling stuck or frustrated with your career and/or with aspects of your wider life?
 - Would you like to understand more about what you need to feel happy, motivated or fulfilled?
 - Do you feel you never have enough time, you keep putting things off, or you're always doing things for others?
 - Do you want to set yourself goals that you actually feel motivated to work on?

I'll be hosting a series of group coaching workshops, some outdoors (while walking!) and some online, to help you tackle some of these challenges.

Each event will focus on a specific topic, (e.g. goal setting, understanding what really matters to you, procrastination, fear, time management... and more). It will include powerful self-reflection exercises and discussion topics, to enable you to leave with achievable actions you feel motivated to work on.

What is coaching?
Coaching is a powerful way to support you to bring positive change to your life and be more you. A coach doesn't give you advice or tell you what to do. Instead they help you to:
- listen to and understand yourself better
- set yourself meaningful goals
- identify and tackle what's getting in your way
- build confidence and motivation to take action

Who am I?
I am a qualified coach, based in Wokingham. I am passionate about helping people get unstuck and find fulfilment in their career and wider life. I am also a big nature lover and advocate of the power of walking - hence why I host some of my group workshops outdoors!
I also work with clients on a 1 to 1 basis, but love working with groups and bringing life coaching to a wider audience.

Basingstoke Cafe Meetup is a joint initiative between the Basingstoke Cafe Scientifique, Basingstoke Friends, Basingstoke Makerspace and the Basingstoke Transition Town Sustainability Group. The Cafe Meetup aims to create greater group engagement in the local community to improve and elevate the resulting experiences and create new learning opportunities.  We also want to help you both as a club or Meetup organiser and as an event participant. We aim to help you mix with the members of the broader community of  Meetup groups and clubs in the Basingstoke and Central Hampshire area.

We know that great Meetups require care and attention, so we’re here to help you learn about what works best for you and to share events and experiences with the members of other groups.

As a member of the Cafe Meetup group, you’ll learn how to:

• Be part of a Meetup group of passionate members that feels like a family

• Organise your own Meetups where members show up and thrive

• Connect and exchange activities with other local organisers and members, just like you

This Meetup is powered by local volunteers who are passionate about creating more human connections. If you want to join our leadership team, suggest a Meetup event, or host your own, please contact any of the Cafe Meetup Leadership Team.

Wandering Wayfarers

Basingstoke, F2

Wandering Wayfarers
Welcome to Hampshire's Wandering Wayfarers, a friendly, leisurely paced walking group where you are welcome to come and join us on walks in Hampshire and the surrounding counties. There may also be the occasional special walk that could be in a different part of the country or spread over 2 or more days. Walks will mostly be on a Sunday and usually between 6-10 miles (10-16Km). Often there will be places of interest along the way where we will, if the opportunity and time permit, stop and look around. These may be historic buildings, old mills, churches and other interesting and historic landmarks that I hope will serve to enrich the content of the walk.  There will be a modest charge per walk to cover the subscription costs of the site and other expenses associated with running the group, this may now be made by contactless card. There may also be additional charges depending upon the activity. This is a **non-smoking** walking group and only open to over 18s. Please take a moment to look through the Conditions of Membership below: **Conditions of Membership** In order for each person to enjoy the experience of being with this group, members are asked to read and comply with the following: * **Conflict of Interest** If I consider your membership of this group to be a 'Conflict of Interest' to the group, it's activities or membership, then your membership of this group is likely to be terminated. * **Using the Meetup Group Site** *Registering with this group* * ***IMPORTANT: Profile Picture and Name*** Like most Meetups - please register with an appropriate and recognisable photo with your real name. Your profile will be removed if it is non-compliant. * *Walk Events* Events are periodically put on the Group's Meetup platform. When an Event's RSVP is open, members may RSVP to the event. The host may 'Post' an event, however, events may not be 'Announced' to all members immediately allowing regular visitors the chance to see the events first. This may be done if there is a limited number that can go. * *Joining Walks and Double Booking* I'd ask that you please only 'Join' a walk in this group if you intend to come along. Please don't 'Double book' events on other Meetup groups. * *"UNPAID" by your name* This is set up by "Meetup". When you RSVP to go on a walk you are flagged as 'Unpaid' - in fact EVERYONE is flagged as 'Unpaid' (only your details are visible to you) When you have paid, (usually by cash/card on the day of the walk), I update the list to flag you as 'Paid'. Mostly this is done on the day but maybe at a later time. If payment is required in advance, and you have paid, this will then be updated. * *Removing yourself from the Walk* If you decide not to go on a walk that you have said you are going on please change your status to 'Not Going' as soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in you being flagged as a 'No Show'. If you 'drop out' at the last moment your name will be flagged with a '\*'. Your attendance at future events may be restricted and you could be removed from the group following three '\*' drop outs. * *'No Show'* If you opt to 'Join' a walk and withdraw on the morning of the walk, or just fail to turn up, this is considered to be a 'No Show' and your name will be flagged with a hash **#**. Your attendance at future events may be restricted following a 'no show'. If there are extenuating circumstances for your 'No Show' please get in touch so the flag can be removed. You may be removed from the group for persistent 'no shows' as this is discourteous to both the event organiser and other members who will be expecting you. * *Walk Postponement/Cancellation* It is the intent to offer walks as published on the Meetup calendar, however there may be times when, due to circumstances that may be unforeseen or beyond our control, the walk is postponed or cancelled. If a walk that is cancelled can be rescheduled at a later date then this will be done if circumstances permit. The walk may also be cancelled if, in the opinion of the Walk Leader or organiser, the weather conditions would make the walk too hazardous for safety or unpleasant. The walk may also be cancelled if the number of attendees fall below a minimum required for that particular event. Any fees paid for any event that is subsequently cancelled will be repaid in full. As much notice of cancellation or postponement will be given, however, neither the Walk Leader, organiser nor the Meetup organisation accept any liability for any subsequent or consequential losses incurred due to the cancellation or postponement of an event. * **Special Event days** There may be 'special event' days where walks will be conducted over a longer distance, perhaps requiring group transport to be arranged, over a weekend or perhaps longer periods. Places on these 'special' events may be limited and are likely to be restricted to regular walkers that would have attended a minimum number of previous walks. Details will be made known at the time of publishing the event. For 'special events' involving additional charges, these charges may be requested as a condition of booking and are not refundable (unless the event is cancelled) should you subsequently withdraw. * **On the day of the walk** * *No Show* Walks generally have an RSVP 'Cut Off' time (often 9am on the day of the walk). If you change your RSVP to 'Not Going' after this time you will be flagged as a 'No Show' and your name will be identified with a hash **#**. Your attendance at future events may be restricted following a 'No Show'. If there are extenuating circumstances for your 'No Show' please get in touch so the flag can be removed. * *Smoking* This is a NON SMOKING group. For the enjoyment and comfort of others, members are asked not to smoke at any time (this includes e-cigarettes) either prior to, during, or after the event whilst with the group. * *Personal Equipment* Please ensure you bring suitable personal equipment and enough provisions for your own needs. Appropriate clothing should be worn at all times. During the walk there will usually be a 'coffee' break, a lunch break, and, depending on the length of the walk, an afternoon break. * *The Meeting Start Point* Please double check directions to the Meetup start point. The point indicated in the map is usually accurate. You should check the location on Google Maps if you have any doubt. DO NOT RELY ON THE POSTCODE. Often the start point is in the middle of nowhere and the postcode will be irrelevant. Please do check the location on the site and use the Meetup Directions link to Google Maps on your phone. It is your responsibility to arrive at the start point in time for the advertised departure. Whilst it is always hoped there will be enough parking at the advertised point it may be that you will have to find an alternative place to park so please allow time for this. It is unlikely that the Walk Leader will hold the rest of the group up for late comers. * *Registration and Payment of Walk Fees* Please 'sign in' with the Walk Leader who will have a register of people on the walk and will mark you present. Please also pay any walking fees due at this time. Payment may be made by cash or card. You will then be updated to be 'present' and 'paid'. This may be updated on the site after the walk. * **On the Walk** At all times please follow the instructions of the Walk Leader. In general these will be limited to matters of safety and group management. It is an all adult group and therefore each walker has the responsibility to look after themselves and to keep within the group. There may not be a 'back marker' so please keep the group, and especially the Walk Leader, in visual contact at all times. The pace will be set by the Walk Leader who may not be leading from the front so please do not get too far ahead or allow yourself to get left behind. There may be times when you will need to stop. Please let the Walk Leader know (either directly or indirectly) that you need to stop so that you don't get left behind. Should you wish to leave the walk/event for any reason then please let the Walk Leader know. The Walk Leader will relinquish any responsibility to you once you have left the group. Walks may or may not have been recced beforehand and changes to the route may be made 'on the fly' in case of unexpected diversions, path closures, livestock, poor weather, or as otherwise decided by the walk leader. * *Dogs* Well behaved dogs, under close control, are welcome unless otherwise advised on the event. For the safety and comfort of other walkers, livestock, animal and bird welfare, if the Walk Leader is uncomfortable with a loose or aggressive dog, the owner will be asked to walk the dog on a lead. * *Litter* Please take your litter home or dispose of it in a proper bin en-route. Please do not throw citrus peel nor banana skins into bushes or leave them lying around the countryside. They have waxy skins which take an age (2 years in fact!) to naturally break down and look very untidy strewn all over the place. Apple cores are not so bad - they take only 8 weeks, or less if a bird or animal finds it! * *Unacceptable behaviour* It goes without saying that the purpose of these walks is to enjoy what our countryside has to offer and everyone has a right to enjoy these activities in a safe and pleasant atmosphere. Therefore, please refrain from any activity likely to cause distress to another member or the group as a whole. * *Risk* Walking is an activity with relatively low risk but please be reminded that you attend the event at your own risk to you and your property. The Walk Leader will aim to reduce the risk to you on the walk but will not be liable for any injury due to your lack of care, attention or negligence, loss or damage to any vehicle or equipment you may have. You should have sufficient insurance to cover this. * *Photographs* By joining a walk you agree that you may appear in photographs taken and posted on the Meetup site. Members may post their own photos of the event on the site but any photo may be asked to be removed if deemed unsuitable. * **Finally...** There are a number of times when we will be visiting old churches, mills, old buildings etc. I find these old buildings fascinating and those that are open are nearly always free to enter. If, like me, you find an interest in these old building and wish to offer a contribution to their upkeep then I am sure a church for example, will be very grateful for any donations received. I usually drop some loose change in their box and this often covers an information leaflet which is always an interesting read. Thank you for your understanding of the above. **Now... let's go walking...........** Mike O'Neill

GDG Reading & Thames Valley

GDG Reading & Thames Valley
**Note:** We have moved, please join us on the [GDG Community Platform](https://gdg.community.dev/gdg-reading-thames-valley/) to stay in the loop on our latest meetups! **GDG Reading** is a community for those interested in Google technologies in Reading and the Thames Valley, including but not exclusive to Bracknell, Wokingham, Maidenhead, Marlow, Newbury, Slough and Windsor.  Google technologies are an essential part of every developer’s toolkit. Making whatever you develop faster, more intuitive, powerful and reliable. But things move fast and it can be challenging to keep up. Google Developer Groups help you learn from your peers, find out what’s new and share ideas.  **GDG Reading** has several sub-groups:  **[WebDev]:** JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, libraries, frameworks and tools for building modern Web applications such as AngularJS, Chrome, Charts, Material Design, PWA, etc.  As technologies are increasingly converging we also include Android development and mobile integration. **[Cloud]**: A platform for cloud based services such as: Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service. Google Cloud Platform includes App Engine, Firebase, Actions, Compute Engine, Bigquery (Big Data), Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes, Functions etc... **[IoT]**: Android Things and other connected device APIs  **[ML]**:  Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Tensorflow & Keras, Cloud ML, Data tools on GCP.   Although these are our core areas we do not limit ourselves exclusively to them.  You may also find events on wider Web, Cloud and API technologies. We also provide regular hackathons, workshops, Study Jams and all-day DevFests.  **Come and speak for us** [Speaker request form](https://forms.gle/6eT49aveqijKKsbs7) **Let’s Build a Community** GDG Reading meets at least monthly in Reading at our various sponsored venue locations.  Our meetings will where possible be free and open to the general public. We believe in community and work where possible with Universities, Business Schools, Technical Colleges and Companies in the area. We often co-host with other developer and technical skills groups - Java, Python, Javascript, Data Science, Biotech, etc. We like to help non-profit groups and charities.  **Don’t be afraid**  Developers aren’t all experienced full-time employees for enterprise companies - often they are business people trying to design better websites, create an app or get on the cloud. And we all have to learn - students are very welcome and we can help you gain valuable business experience as well as technical skills. Last but not least - we advise on methods and products we believe are best, not necessarily to maximise sales of Google products or services.  **Partner with us** [Interest registration form](https://forms.gle/AsgumtSP6KNvvGDe7) **Follow us:** [Twitter](https://twitter.com/gdgreading) [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/gdgreadinguk/) [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0nZUldcH1GVWcEs_b2_wHQ)  **Disclaimer:** *GDG Reading and Thames Valley is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed here should in no way be linked to Google, the corporation*. *To learn more about the GDG program, visit [https://developers.google.com/groups/](https://developers.google.com/groups/)*

Surrey and Hampshire Walkers

Surrey and Hampshire Walkers
Hello and Welcome to Surrey and Hampshire Walkers! This group is for people like to get out walking, enjoy the beauty of the countryside, meet new people and experience friendship, fun and the joy of doing things with like-minded people. We are an active, friendly and very popular group. Our walks vary in length and cater for all. We walk at about 2.5 miles an hour, so are not for those long-distance hikers that want to get from A to B in the fastest possible time. We like to stop, take photos, and we often have a pub visit either halfway or at the end of the walk. You may or may not be aware, that the Meetup Organization charges a rental fee for the group's website. Unlike many other groups, we do not have an annual membership fee.  The rental fee charged for the site and other expenses involved in running the group are paid for by the organisers. Each event takes time to organise and manage, therefore we charge £4 per walk. Members of this group treat each other with the utmost respect and courtesy. Unkind or inconsiderate behaviour won't be tolerated. Please always address the organisers and other members, whether in writing or person, in a polite manner. Aggressive or confrontational behaviour is simply unacceptable and will be dealt with swiftly. The organisers reserves the right to remove any comments that go against our group philosophy. We are volunteers, who are running this group to the best of our ability. People who are overly demanding or just plain rude will be removed from this group. **Please be responsible for yourself. Before you send us an email, ask yourself this: (a) did I actually read the Meetup event description, and (b) could I look this up on the internet myself?**   Like a lot of other groups, we have a No Show rule.   If you RSVP Yes to an event, and do not turn up or let the Event Host know you cannot attend, unless there are extenuating circumstances which are communicated to the Event Host, after the second time this happens we will terminate your membership of the group. Also, the organisers have the right to cancel any members who do not fit with the group. Event Hosts have the right to ask a member to leave the event, if they are obviously affecting the enjoyment of other members. **Please note that under 16's are not allowed on any of our events, sorry!** Most of our walks welcome dogs too and all we ask is that they are friendly and well behaved.  **Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead for the whole duration of the walk and at any pub stops.**  Event Host has the right to ask the member to leave if they feel their dog(s) doesn't fit this criteria. You are responsible for your dog on the walk and must look out for any main roads or hazards. **At all of our events, you take part at your own risk. The Group Organiser or Event Host is not responsible for your safety.** That's the rules done with - all you need to do now is upload a current photo of yourself (this is mandatory, helps Event Hosts to look out for you and helps everyone remember your name) and attend an event of your choice.  (We reserve the right to cancel your membership if no photo or an unsuitable photo is uploaded). Please don't worry about coming along on your own - we've all done it. We give everybody a warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon!
