Welcome to Cotswold Adventures Outdoors. Over the past 6 months, this group has grown and developed into what it is now—previously known as North Gloucestershire and Severn Solo Adventurers. The core members feel that the name needs to represent the group and not be so confusing. The group's aim is to provide friendship and community, whilst having fun outdoors. Activities will include, Hiking and Walking, Standup Paddleboarding, Pub Meets, Camping Trips, comedy nights, and more... In 2024 my life had a dramatic change, I began a journey of doing more of what makes me happy. So I started this group, with the aim of doing more activities, and if individuals wanted to join me, then that is great, if not I'd still be having fun. All that is left for me to say is welcome to the group and I look forward to meeting you. **Below are some basic housekeeping group rules that you agree to by being part of this meet group. Should not need to mention these, so far everyone has been lovely and respectful, let us keep it that way.** 1. Members must have a current **headshot**. Those who become members have 48 hours to update their picture for the group. 2. Members must have a **given name**. Not their hobby, job, etc. 3. The group has a **3-strike rule** within **6 months.** A "no show" to an open event is 1 strike. A no-show to a numbered event is 2 strikes. 4. If a member turns up to an event they **did not RSVP** they are **removed.** 5. If you haven't been to an event in **6 months** you are removed. 6. Please do not **spam** the group, send **unsolicited messages** to **group members**, or **sexually harass** group members. **Spammers**, **senders of unsolicited messages, and harassers** will be **reported and removed and reported to the police. When Hiking please wear appropriate clothing\. jeans and flip\-flops are not ideal for hiking\. Recomend appropriate walking boots or shoes\. 2\. Please bring with you enough food and water to sustain you for the duration of the hike\. 3\. If possible and safe to do so\, please lift share\. 4\. Please ensure you are fit and well enough to complete the duration of the hike\. 5\. In wet weather\, waterproofs are recommended **Standup Paddle Boarding** 1\. Please ensure you have a Personal Floatation Device or **Buoyancy Aid**. 2\. All paddlers are recommended to have a **quick-release waste strap** for fast flowing water. 3\. Please bring with you a **change of clothes**. 4. **Shoes** are recommended for paddling as rivers and banks can have **sharp objects** even **needles** occasionally. 5\. Recomend the use of a **dry bag** for your possessions. 6. **A helmet** is required when SUPing on dangerous fast-flowing shallow rivers with rocks 7\. In colder months **wetsuit**, **thermal wet gear,** and layers are highly recommended

We are a sociable meetup group offering a range of activities around Cheltenham including walks, events, socials, yoga, coffee crawls, exploring places in and nearby to Cheltenham and any other mini adventures we can manage. Our focus is on having fun and living a healthy, adventurous and sustainable life. Dogs welcome, children welcome (unless for specific events where this wouldn't be suitable). We aim for plant-based eating. Join us and connect with other like-minded people, have fun, take part in outdoor active adventures around Cheltenham and beyond.

This Meetup group is for well socialised dogs who want to bring their humans on a lovely hike in the Herefordshire, Gloucestershire or Worcestershire countryside. We’ll meet 2 or 3 times a month for energetic hikes of varying distances and they will usually involve a hill or two! The group is a voluntary amateur social group (your Meetup membership terms include a release of liability for group organisers) hence you are solely responsible for the safety and actions of yourself and your dogs and are expected to respect other group members, land and livestock, and other users of the areas we visit. Due to Meetup doubling their fees I've introduced a £5 joining fee and an annual £5 membership fee due every January. Anyone joining October to December won't be expected to pay the annual fee for their first year. This goes towards paying the meetup subscription cost and any surplus may be used towards other group activities or donated to dog charities. No one will earn any income from the group. So if you enjoy a good hike with your dog, discovering new routes and would like to meet other friendly dogs and their owners then please join us. (The group is for dog owners only plus one guest and membership numbers limited so that there is a good chance of meeting the same people and dogs repeatedly to encourage friendships. Any inactive members, or those who repeatedly cancel, will be politely but firmly removed to make way for anyone who may be waiting to join!)

In order to keep the group running on this site we do need to cover a subscription fee. We ask that you give £3 at your first event to the event organiser to pass on to me (Jen). Hopefully after this we should not need to ask for any more subscription fee, and you can carry on attending as many events as you like, and continue the friendships you have made.

We are a social group of walkers who enjoy the countryside primarily on Sundays with a few summer midweek outings. Our walks are generally 4 - 7 miles and rated at an easy to moderate level - the detail is spelled out in each meetup description. Our walks are moderately paced. We welcome everyone who considers themselves to be single and pride ourselves in offering a warm welcome to all newbies. Well behaved dogs are welcome but are the responsibility of their owners. You are advised to bring a bottle of water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions. Bring a snack or picnic for the midpoint stop - we do also dally occasionally to allow for photographs or to admire the view. Afterwards we tend to adjourn to a local hostelry for a drink and/or food which is entirely optional. 

The emphasis is on having a pleasant day out, visiting interesting and beautiful places, meeting people and making friends rather than conquering summits or getting from A to B as quickly as possible. WOW, have a wonderful day out, meet new friends, share a joke and a laugh.

We ask for a small donation of £2 towards the website Fees and the Organisers expenses in planning the Walk, each time that you walk with us. The walk leader will always have recently walked over the route.

When you book on a Walk and are unable to attend, please change your RSVP on the site to free the place for another Walker or send the walk leader a text message on the day. The walk will proceed shortly after the published time and will not wait unless a message is received that you are in the vicinity when we will wait for a few minutes.

Most of our Walkers are in the age range of 40/50/60's.

1) That by signing up for this Group, you accept that you take part entirely at your own risk.

2) Where as organisers are facilitating activities, he or she will not be held legally or otherwise responsible for any accidents or other mishaps during any event. Life in general and particularly outdoor activities are never without risks. 3) If you have any doubts about you abilities, the weather conditions or the terrain or the ground, you must discuss it with your Organiser before the start of the Walk.

4) Please advise your fellow Walkers as early as possible if you encounter difficulties during a Walk or if you see another Walker with problems.

We walk in rural areas and there is no Public Transport to the start of our Walks. You do need organise your own transport to get there.

This group is for people aged over 50 living in Gloucester and the surrounding area who would like to make new friends and are committed to having a good time in the process. Most of our members are 50+ but we are open to anyone and aim to have a wide variety of social events across the North Gloucestershire area. We are a Branch of The Oddfellows, one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK. Through friendship and social events, we help our members get more enjoyment out of life, and offer care, advice and support in times of need. Our Branch holds regular get-togethers including talks, walks, dine arounds, tai chi, meditation, group short breaks, cinema trips, demonstrations, quizzes and more to help our members have fun, stay active and make friends.

Previously I held Laughter Yoga sessions at The Inner Place in Ledbury but it was difficult to find so I have taken up the suggestion of someone who attended my November session to try Malvern Cube.

Laughter Yoga combines deep breathing (Pranayama) with role-playing everyday activities like greeting, making a milkshake, a mobile phone conversation and showing appreciation.  These activities are carried out with child-like playfulness to help people let go of inhibitions and enjoy the moment through laughter.  It can give an overwhelming feeling of joy and freedom together with a deep sense of community with the other people in the group session.

Laughter yoga enables people to enjoy good health and wellbeing and helps them cultivate a positive attitude to their lives. 

For those who enjoy walking and meeting people in the Stroud area of Gloucestershire. Explore the area with all its natural beauty. Meet people from this amazing part of the Cotswolds. We intend to also have other activities such as pubs and dinners.

The Social group for **20s and 30s** within the **Stroud District**; attempting to bring local and likeminded people together for fun adventures and activities along with the more basic and standard social evenings at a pub or bar. From bowling at Stroud Bowl, 6-10mile local hikes, game nights, food and drink at Stroud Brewery, Fat Toni's Pizza or Curio Lounge. We've had - and hope to continue with quite the selection. Founded by former organiser Matt in April 2022, joined by Ash and Charlotte shortly thereafter. Matt stepped back in April 2024, superseded by Vickie.

There hasn't been a general meet up group just for going out in Stroud - until now! This is for people want to socialise in Stroud and the surrounding areas and meet others from this lovely part of the world. Nights out include going for drinks, comedy evenings, seeing live music and even some wildlife watching. Days out include walks, hikes and festivals. If you have any suggestions please let me know. The aim is to have fun and make new friends and not have to travel too far!

You don't need your own dog but you probably need to like them! We are a people and dog-friendly group, typically taking a 2-3 hour walk with 25-30 people (and 25-30 dogs!) every other weekend in Gloucestershire or nearby. We also have evening walks in the summer, activities like canoeing and weekends away. The group also has an active social calendar with members organising a range of cultural and more strenuous activities. We make no charge for our walks and guest walkers are welcome but once you have walked with us a few times we will ask you to join the Ramblers. We'll also visit museums, theatre, movies, sports events, the many local Festivals & other activities. Welcome to the Cheltenham 7 a side football page, which aims to hold friendly and weekly 7 a side matches each week for all abilities so that you can get your overdue football fix post lockdown!. Last year, a friendly bunch turned up in good numbers each week, so hopefully more of the same this year! We paused temporarily due to COVID, however with outdoor sport soon to restart, we are firing up the group again and currently looking for venues at which to play. The usual method is pay as you go for each person (roughly £5pp) to cover pitch hire/equipment etc; all gear such as footballs, bibs provided each time.
