RfR - Manchester, UK (Active)
NOTE: *This local group is back! Previously it was located in North Yorkshire Moors, it's now been moved to Manchester.* **What Recovering from Religion is about:** Doubt your beliefs? Have questions about changing or leaving your faith? You are not alone, and we are here to help each other through this journey. Learning how to live after questions, doubts, and changing beliefs is a journey. We at Recovering from Religion are intimately familiar with this path and are here to help you to cross that bridge. Our mission is connecting others with support, resources, community, and most of all, hope. The primary focus of a Recovering From Religion support group is to provide ongoing and personal support to individuals as they let go of their religious beliefs. This transitional period is an ongoing process that can result in a range of emotions, as well as a ripple effect of consequences throughout an individual’s life. As such the support meetings are safe and anonymous places to express these doubts, fears, and experiences without biased feedback or proselytizing. RfR has an immense collection of well-curated resources available as you go through your journey. The page includes resources for mental and physical crises, working with relationships, for issues stemming from specific religions, coming out stories, and much more. Head to www.recoveringfromreligion.org/resources for these helpful resources. If you find you need to talk with someone before the meeting date, RfR has a hotline and online chat for that express purpose. Call (844) 368-2848 to speak with someone or go to www.recoveringfromreligion.org to chat online. If you’re seeking professional help, we can offer the Secular Therapy Project to provide options to connect with a professional therapist. All therapists have been thoroughly vetted by our organization and offer only evidence-based and non-religious treatment. Connect with them at www.seculartherapy.org.

Just Good Friends

Chorley, H2

Just Good Friends
Welcome, we are here to Make new Friends! \ This is for Male & Female Adults. \ Dining & Drinks, Theatre, Cinema, Afternoon Tea, Coffee, 10 Pin Bowling, Crazy Golf, Dancing, Live Music, etc \ Outdoors, Walking, Camping/ Glamping, Kayaking, Sailing, Outdoor Swimming, Kipping on the Beach, etc \ We are open to new events/ Activities. Sadly Corvid 19 has stopped/ curtailed many activities and we are looking for new guide lines/ rules all the time to manage our events safely and inline with local and National Rules as and when they change. **The Aim of "JUST GOOD FRIENDS"**, (henceforth referred to as The Group) is a means for people to take part in various social activities in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The Group is open to anyone who is a fit and proper person. Our activities are typically eating out, going for a drink (Coffee / Alcohol), walking (with dogs or without) etc. If a Member has a particular interest, they are free to propose or even organise an Event via a Committee Member of which there are 4: **• Peter Walmsley - Chair** **• Robert Jackson - Treasurer.** **• Vacant - Secretary.** **• Lorraine Green - Member Co-Ordinator.** **Membership.** A person may attend a maximum of 1 Event as a Guest before deciding whether or not to join The Group. *(Anyone can apply to join The Group, however, The Committee reserves the right to refuse/ exclude any person who is deemed unacceptable for whatever reason, and their decision is absolute.) Annual membership is £10.00 and is due on the 2nd Event and then annually there after.* **Members must conduct themselves** in a proper and appropriate fashion, with due regard for the feelings and sensibilities of others. As the name indicates, The Groups function is to create friends, not acrimony and ill-feeling. If a member has a problem, there is a complaints procedure (see below), and it should be taken up with the Member Co-Ordinator. **First and Surnames** (or initial), as well as a recognisable photo on the Meetup Website, are always helpful for the purposes of recognition at an Event and subsequent communications. (if you do not feel comfortable with this - Its okay, but bear in mind that if 2 Members are using the same first name only, this may cause confusion). Please note that this is a "Closed Group" and therefore Photographs are not public; they are visable to The Group Members only. A phone number and email address are also useful for the purposes of contact by The Group only. **When Booking on** to an EVENT and you subsequently find that you cannot make it for a whatever reason, please change your RSVP to "Not Going" and let the Event HOST know ASAP please. There may be a waiting list and this will allow someone else to use your place. If you are shy and find it difficult to meet strangers, let the EVENT HOST know and they will meet you are the EVENT entrance to provide reassurance and effect introductions to the other members. **COMMITTEE members and EVENT HOSTS** meet on a regular basis, at least once a month, to discuss any pertinent issues and matters which may have arisen.  **The Group is an informal one**, and as such cannot take responsibility for individuals attending EVENTS This is particularly the case at EVENTS involving physical activity such as walking, travelling etc. It is beholden on individual members to take responsibility for their own safety and conduct themselves in a fit & proper fashion. **Complaints Procedure:** A complaint should initially be directed to the Member Co-Ordinator (or their delegate). Should the complaint not be satisfied, it will be taken to the COMMITTEE for a Resolution. If the issue is still unresolved, the chair (or their delegate) will make the final decision which is absolute.

Cuppa Coffee Property Networking

Prestwich, H2

Cuppa Coffee Property Networking
Cuppa is Manchester’s Premier Property Networking Group. It is a friendly, informal group that is free to attend, and is for anyone interested in Property Investing in Manchester in the UK. Cuppa has been running continuously since 2012, as well as an active presence on meetup and facebook, we also have a Whatsapp group which boasts more than 250 property investors as members. If you come to any Cuppa meeting you can be added to that group and tap into their considerable experience. It's worth coming along at least once just for that! Before 2020 all of our meetings were in person, since then we’ve alternated between online and face-to-face events. From 2024 we’ve split the face-to-face meetings between different venues so that Cuppa is accessible to as many people as possible from across the city. We keep the events section of our meetup page up to date so you can see whether a particular week is an online or face to face meeting, and where it’s happening. Everybody is warmly welcomed and encouraged, from total newbies just thinking about getting into property, to experienced professionals with years of hard-won wisdom! There have been a lot of deals struck on the back of connections made at Cuppa. That includes several people who have found their future business partners at the group! Look forward to seeing you on a Saturday soon! Flixton and Urmston Womens Social Group

Urmston, C5

Flixton and Urmston Womens Social Group
## What we're about This group is for women who are looking for new friendships living in the Flixton, Urmston, Davyhulme area. This is a female only group. The group is about making new friends - our regular monthly meeting provides a chance for members to meet each other and we organise a variety of activities such as cinema trips, shopping, dinner, theatre nights, coffee and chats, or walks. Any member can 'champion' an activity or suggest a Meet Up and all ideas are welcomed. The emphasis is on local activities that are ideally free or accessible to all but if you've got an idea feel free to suggest it. You can message the organisers and one of them will set up the event. Please note that if none of the organisers wish to attend you may have to host the event yourself on the day. We do charge a small fee of £5.00 per year to belong to our group which covers the costs of belonging to the Meet Up website and shows that you are committed to membership - but you are welcome to join for a while and see if you like us first. The membership charge is for January to December to keep the admin simple. All membership payments must be paid by bank transfer for the same reason. Please note that you must add a photo of yourself (not the cat!!) when applying to join. Membership requests without a photo will be declined. In order to keep our membership manageable if you do not attend a meetup event within 4 months of joining your membership will be cancelled. We also operate a three no shows and you are out rule as most other groups. We look forward to meeting you! Brenda (Organiser)
