Aldercar and Langley Friends

Langley Mill, D3

Aldercar and Langley Friends
A.L.F is a small social and activity group primarily for people in Aldercar, Langley Mill and surrounding areas. Our aim? To improve life a little bit at a time without having to go too far. We're not therapy but we're a good second option. 😊 Feeling down, stressed, isolated, ill or recuperating? You are not on your own. Get to know other local people with regular cheap, often free, easy to attend shorter activities in small friendly groups of four to twelve people. Progress your social life locally with a variety of longer events and social occasions all whilst supporting some of our local businesses. You will get out and about, happier, socialising and talking, if only about the rotten weather! *NB. As a volunteer group, we make every effort to ensure you are looked after, safe and welcomed. We endeavour to provide you with information on specific activity requirements i.e. footwear, timings, stops etc where necessary and as best we can in order to support your attendance. Participation in activities is done under your own liability.* *A cover photo is appreciated but not mandatory. Accounts inactive for 12 months are deleted.* **Note to organisers: Events at ALF are group aim specific, as such we have a smaller window of what we can do and take much planning, whilst imitation is the best form of flattery, copying, cutting and pasting is not. Should you wish to copy or 'bounce off' a Aldercar & Langley Event, please have the courtesy to message us first.**

Nat West Name On Account : Neil Herrington Account Number: 41559630 Sort Code: 60-40-09 **EVENTS** **Hosts:** are unpaid members who organise and post events for the benefit of the group, so please respect our hosts and other members by following the simple rules regarding events below we just ask that members be courteous please. **Change Your RSVP:** as soon as you know you can't attend - this is just a common courtesy. We know that sometimes life interferes with our social plans so it can't be helped (if you had a real emergency please just let your host know asap afterwards) **Running Late:** If you're running late let your host know - there should be info on the event about where and when to meet; hosts and others attending may not be able or willing to wait for you, depending upon the event, it is your responsibly to be on time so don't be surprised if you have been left out if you are late. **No Shows**: 3 'no-shows' and we will remove you from the group for a period of 2 months (first time this happens you will have chance to rejoin, but if it's persistent we may permanently remove you) - sorry about this, but it's something which frustrates both the hosts and the other people coming out to enjoy themselves. Some events may have a wait list and a no show could prevent a member from attending. **Gate crashing**: an event with limited numbers and a waiting list, or at the event hosts discretion will be treated in the same way as a no-show and will be reflected in your profile as a no show. Both are disrespectful to hosts and other members. **Courtesy:** Be respectful but have fun - remember with lots of people you will naturally form friendships with some more than others, but the group is about getting out, meeting new people and being open and sociable. We're all adults but we do all have different ideas about what is respectful - occasionally there may be problems with pestering or harassing (in person or online) - try to sort this at the time / one-to-one but if you can't then let your host on the event know asap (or Group Organizers afterwards) and we'll try to help sort it. WE ARE NOT THE HEAD TEACHERS THOUGH AND THIS ISN'T THE SCHOOL YARD so we're hoping there'll be no detentions to hand out!. However the Group Organizers reserve the discretion to remove any member without notice. **EVENT HOSTS** **Event Hosts:** We encourage as many members as possible to be event hosts as we believe it will make a more vibrant group with a wide and diverse mix off events making the group interesting to be a member of. We request all hosts to aware of new members on an event and make them feel comfortable and welcome, as we know it can be quite daunting for some people to join an established group of friends . **Guidance:** We ask that hosts do not preload events, as some will know it is possible to create events and then the host can add the members who they wish to attend, thereby excluding other members. We strongly discourage this, as it may causes disquiet and upset amongst other members. Hosts who are found to engaging in this practice may be removed as a host. Group events are open to all. We know that over time people with similar interests coalesce together and may wish to organise what amounts to private events. Please feel FREE to do so. What we ask is for you to organize it off group, there is the private side chat on Meet up or WhatsApp and if you contact us, there is at the time of writing a free system called DownToMeet that works almost identical to Meetup where you can invite selected people and organise private events. **Event Payments:** In general Event Hosts will need to organise and collect any monies required for any events such as days out, meals or weekends away or any other type of event that needs deposits or payments. As a general observation where there is a significant amount of money involved it may be wise to gather the event attendees together to discuss the suitability of, for example, accommodation on a weekend away, in order to share the responsibility of decision making, just in case things are not as expected on arrival, so there is shared responsibility. **DISCLAIMERS** **No Warranties:** No express or implied warranties of any type, including for example implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are made with respect to the events and activities. Chesterfield Phoenix Friends makes no representations and extends no warranties of any type as to the accuracy or completeness of any event or activity. Chesterfield Phoenix Friends specifically DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES and assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage or financial loss suffered by any person as a result of taking part in events or activities organized by event hosts. Chesterfield Phoenix Pals assumes or undertakes NO LIABILITY for any loss or damage suffered as a result of participation in events or activities. **Participate At Your Own Risk**: Consult a doctor before performing any physical exercise or activities. It is your responsibility to evaluate your own medical and physical condition, or that of your children, and to independently determine whether to perform, use or adapt any of the exercises or activities at our events. Any exercise program may result in injury. By voluntarily undertaking any exercise or activity at our events, you assume the risk of any resulting injury. **Photography**: Photos can be taken at events and shared on social media. If this is unacceptable to you, as a member, it is your responsibility to let the event host know you do not wish to appear in photographs and we ask that event hosts respect the request and ensure your request is honoured. We encourage you to take photos and share them on social media as it helps to promote the group. **Membership** : Chesterfield Phoenix Pals Group Organiser reserves the right to deny new members membership to Chesterfield Phoenix Pals or to terminate an existing membership if it is deemed that continued membership will be detrimental to the well being of the group, or that a member's behaviour has caused offence or distress to any other members or member. The Group's Organisers decision will be final. **Attendance of events will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.** **Updated : 1/1/2024**

Mansfield's Ladies

Mansfield, J9

Mansfield's Ladies
This is a group for ladies in Mansfield and the immediate area looking to widen their social circle, all ages are welcome The group can be whatever you want it to be, but most importantly we are keen to ensure everyone feels welcome.  The activities are varied and suggestions for different meetups are very welcome but if you like cocktails, live music, afternoon teas etc then we could well be the group for you. New members are welcome to come along within the first 30 days to a meetup to see if the group is to their taste prior to paying membership. There is an annual subscription fee of £6.00 which is payable by Paypal to [mansfieldladiesgroup@gmail.com](mailto:mansfieldladiesgroup@gmail.com) (please select friends/family to avoid charges), by bank transfer or if you prefer cash can be paid at a meet up within the first 30 days of joining. Unfortunately if payment is not made within 30 days, members will be removed from the group.  The annual subscription monies paid by members is used to pay the Meetup annual subscription charge and if we are ever at a point where there is any monies left over, I will ask members what is the best way to use the additional funds.  Renewal of membership fees for subsequent years is due in the month of joining. We operate a 3 'no show' rule as this aids to the courtesy and smooth running of the group and is particularly relevant where there is a limited number of spaces and a waiting list. Any ladies who have 3 'no shows' will be removed from the group. Ladies cancelling on the day for a meetup with a limited number of places will also be classed as a no show. Ladies who have previously been a member of the group and removed for any reason are not able to attend as guests. Should any ladies wish to become an organiser, that would be great, just let me know. Please join and lets make some new friends - there is likely to be plenty of coffee, cake and cocktails! I look forward to meeting you soon, Liz.

Motorbike ride outs- from the Directors on Motorbikes Group

Chesterfield, D3

Motorbike ride outs- from the Directors on Motorbikes Group

A couple of years ago, I set up Directors on Motorbikes on LINKEDIN. We are now nearly 2500 members strong and growing weekly. I want to create a larger community of bikers interested in meeting at weekends or warmer evenings and planning a short or a day long ride out. Want to join us?
Doesn't matter if you're a Director or not- pillions all welcome

Suggest your favorite meeting spots, the great roads for riding, ideas for a meet. Whitby seems to have become an annual pilgrimage for us, but we have had some great rides around Ashbourne in Derbyshire, Cat n Fiddle pass near Macclesfield, Matlock Bath in Derbyshire of course, and many others.

Everyone is welcome no matter what you ride or how long you've been riding. For ride outs where this matters to you, please indicate so that members can select something they are comfortable with. Might be useful to indicate difficulty of ride planned, duration, speeds expected to allow smaller engines to select those rides where slower speed is not an issue.

Feel free to set up a meeting yourself, and enjoy the group. Any suggestions to enhance this group are very welcome.

This is a national group, so if you live at either end of the country, feel free to post ride outs, or contact me and I'll do this for you.

DISCLAIMER: This is a free membership group of individuals voluntarily participating in joint social rides of their own free accord, and carries no liability or responsibility for the individual actions of any member of the group. By the joining the group each member acknowledges that: motorcycle related activities are dangerous and that accidents causing death, bodily injury, disability and property damage can, and do, happen; that they have adequate motorcycle insurance cover as required by UK law; and that they are entirely responsible for their own actions and behaviours whilst riding a motorcycle within the group. <br>

Let's get together once a week, indoor or outdoor (depending on the weather). **Code of conduct** All members must respect the following code of conduct. **Respect** Treat everyone with respect, do not insult and do not antagonise others in order to force a reaction. Do not be disrespectful to beginners or players who are below your skill level. You can offer friendly advice but do not lecture them in a condescending manner. Trash talking and banter is allowed but please keep light-hearted. **Aggression and violence** Do not instigate fights and do not threaten others with violence. **Safety** Do not foul intentionally and try to avoid contact if you think it could cause an injury. We are all competitive but we do need to remember that we play for fun - there is no prize for the winning team and we are not in a competitive league. **Bullying** Do not display an intimidating behaviour towards others in order to get things your way. Do not discriminate against others. **Respect the call** When a player from the opposite team calls a foul, travel, etc., respect the call and move on. In order to play, you need to be on the list. If you are not on the list, unfortunately you will not play. Additionally, people on the list have the responsibility to keep their RSVP up to date in order to allow people on the waitlist to play.
