This groups is to bring hiking enthusiasts together for glorious days in the beautiful British countryside, usually within easy reach of London. Like a lot of people who live in London, we are bunch of international people and would like to welcome any hiking enthusiast from any national, cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual orientation background to our group. We have plenty of experience in guiding walks in the countryside. In addition to common routes, which are available online, we also design our own routes at times. Everybody is welcome but we have one important criteria to set our group apart from others... and that is **to be able to keep an average (18-20 minutes per mile) to brisk (16-17 minutes per mile) pace\* throughout the walk**. Please see below for guidance on pace. There are groups for fast walkers and groups for slow to average walkers. We are neither. This is a group for average to brisk walking people. In addition to this criteria, we expect the usual civil behavior any social group expects such as being kind, considerate, accountable, ability to take responsibility for yourself. OUR ACTIVITIES

We organise walks of varying length and difficulty in Surrey and the surrounding counties.

We run half day and full day walks, ranging from easy, leisurely walks in parks and along tow paths, to more challenging walks the rural and spectacular Hills of Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and beyond.

We occasionally run other outdoor and indoor activities too.

The focus for LOVE OUTDOORS is on enjoyment!! Getting out in nature, being active meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. We also run occasional social activities and meetups where you can leave your hiking boots at home and relax over a drink or meal.

What we're about The Surrey Heath Ramblers ( [https://www.surreyheathramblers.org.uk/](https://www.surreyheathramblers.org.uk/) ) is a walking group based in south west Surrey and is part of The Ramblers organisation. Our walks are mainly based around Surrey and North Hampshire where we explore our wonderful countryside. We offer a variety of walks which vary from 3 miles to more strenuous walks up to 15 miles. The walks are led by experienced walks leaders who are insured. There is no charge to come on our walks, and you are welcome to come on up to 3 walks to 'try' us out. If you need to improve your mental health and want to get fitter then walking with friends regularly is the perfect solution. If you want to meet some nice, normal supportive friends who live locally then come and join us. The goal of the group is to meet regularly for walks lasting about 2-3 hours. See you soon!!
