Brighton Outdoor Society

We are the Brighton Outdoor Society, the hike, bike and other outdoor activities club!

The group strives to cater for a range of levels and interests when it comes to walking and cycling located in and around Brighton and Sussex.

Our group is open to all ages, singles and couples of differing racial/ethnic/cultural/religious/political backgrounds. We are united by our love of the outdoors.

The group is not-for-profit, but in order to cover the meetup fees, we require a £3 annual membership payable when signing up to your 2nd event. Should any surplus revenue be generated this will be donated to a selected charity each year.

All members should strive to be as reliable as possible, editing their RSVP to 'not going' in good time. No showing to an event is unacceptable and doing so twice will result in being removed from the group.

Check out the 'Our Calendar' tab for all upcoming activities. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon!

Disclaimer:
Group organisers and assistant organisers assume no liability; take part in the activities at your own risk. By being a member of the group you hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all group functions. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold the group's leaders, officers, or representatives liable for any injury, loss, or damage to your own person or any members of your family, friends, acquaintances, children, pets, or property arising directly, or as a consequence from a group activity. W K Social Circle Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells, G5

W K Social Circle stands for West Kent Social Circle. We are a small local friendly social group that holds events in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas. The average age range of the group members are 40's to mid sixties but anyone is welcome. We hold events most weekends and some during the week. Most of our events are close to Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge but we also organise day trips to the coast. We offer a range of activities ranging from eating out at local restaurants, quiz evenings, cinema and theatre trips to the odd game of crazy golf. We hope to see you at an event soon. Please note we also operate a WhatsApp group if you are interested. If you are keen to attend any events please book in via Meet up or the official WhatsApp group, not directly to the event organiser as this confuses those coming. **ATTENDANCE** We recommend that you try to come along within the first 10 weeks of joining. If you are shy or reluctant for whatever reason, contact one of our event hosts and we'll help you attend by meeting you outside the venue. Be aware that we are starting to actively manage our members list and will consider removing inactive members to keep our membership count real. You will be able to request to re_join at a later date. THIS IS NOT A SINGLES OR DATING GROUP - This group's prime aim is to organise fun activities for people to enjoy and to enable people to socialise together. Most of our members tend to be single but we also have many couples within the group too. Our main aim is to create a community of people who support each other!

Star Citizen UK Meetups

Crawley, P6

Star Citizen UK Meetups

Imagine... you could be whoever you wanted to be... go wherever you wanted to go... and do whatever you wanted to do... Imagine... Star Citizen!

What is your story going to be?

http://youtu.be/lJJ9TcGxhNY

For those of you who don't know, Star Citizen is the upcoming record-breaking, crowd-funded, epic, PC-only, online, space-sim MMO from the creator of the infamous Wing Commander series of PC games, Chris Roberts.

Currently in pre-alpha, it has drawn a huge following, numbering in excess of 1,100,000 fans, of which, over 850,000 have pledged money to the development of the game and secured a slot in the alpha and beta of the game.

Watch the following video (everything you see here is actual game footage!), and then head over to Star Citizen : About the Game to find out all about the game.

http://youtu.be/xf4zCCjBwOA

The aim of this group is to bring together UK backers of the immensely ambitious Best Damn Space Sim Ever, to meet, chat and generally get to know one another in social surroundings so that we don't all end up being goggle-eyed Billy-no-mates with the social skills of an amoeba...ok some of us will need to get past that point first (yours truly, included!).

So, if you're a backer, and you're in the UK, please register here for updates on meetups and other events hosted or attended by other Star Citizen fans around the UK.

If you're not a backer...get yourself over to the site, pledge $45 and get into the game!  Don't forget to use the Referral Code of STAR-WHGV-DGKB to receive an additional 5000UEC (in game currency) absolutely free!

No meetup in your area?  Why not start one?  Let us know...we're here to help!

We plan on meeting up fairly frequently to bridge the gap between what is becoming a close-knit gaming community and what could be a close group of IRL friends, and members of our facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKStarCitizan/) are already participating in regular multiplayer matches in Arena Commander (the first playable module of the full game) as well as socialising in ArcCorp (the first multiplayer planetside city location) and exploring in Port Olisar, Crusader (the first star system in the fledgeling Persistent Universe).

We're open to ideas, but other potential activities could be in-game Star Citizen 'parties' bringing people together on larger ships like the Aegis Dynamics Idris, or a much-mooted Space Pub Crawl (flying from planet to planet, and having a drink in a spaceport bar, before moving on (real life drinking optional...for some, anyway!)) while also hanging out, or playing Star Citizen as a group.

Tell us your story...
