Wanderlust Walks Oslo
**Hello there, welcome to my hiking and outdoors community in Oslo.** My name is Monica, the founder of Wanderlust Walks. I am a Norwegian living in London, but I do spend a lot of time in Oslo throughout the year, which is why I have created Wanderlust Walks Oslo; a sister group to my original Wanderlust Walks in London where we are over 6000 members. Some of my weekend trips will be joint together between both groups, so by attending an event either in Norway or abroad you might end up making new friends in the U.K. too. Pretty cool if you ask me. You can check out my [London page here](https://www.meetup.com/Wanderlust-Walks/) to see what we have been up to since I founded WW back in October 2018. Okay, moving on. **Wanderlust Walks** is all about mindful walking and hiking (and the occasional yoga, cycling, kayaking and skiing trip too) both in Norway, England / U.K., and other European countries. Here youĀ“ll find space to breath and just be, and to appreciate nature as we move through it. My walks and hikes are never a race against time, and my aim is rather to foster a supportive community where well-being and social togetherness is at the forefront. We make time for conversations, photography and to observe nature and wildlife. The latter we respect by staying on trails, and we keep nature clean by leaving no waste behind. We have a great and diverse community of both international members as well as locals, and people from all walks of life are welcome to join any of my events as long as it suits your physical abilities. We are mainly speaking English, but I gladly speak Norwegian with those who prefer. So, if you are curious about this funny Viking language and would like to learn a word or two, then don't be afraid to walk up to the front of the group (where youĀ“ll find me) and say hello. For most parts I'll be doing locally, guided day walks and hikes in the woods around Oslo, such as Ƙstmarka and Nordmarka ++ when I am back home in Norway, which is actually quite often. In addition to this, I will be arranging overnight stays away from Oslo from time to time, which gives an opportunity to escape the city and explore other sides to Norway. I often publish my day hikes 1-2 weeks ahead of time to eliminate the chances of something unpredictable getting in the way. Remember to switch on your Meetup notifications if you wish to receive a heads up about new events as soon as I publish them. **A bit about me** I moved to London in 2015 and quickly realised how much I missed the Norwegian nature, and I would probably say that I am addicted to being outdoors - typical Norwegians right? I love to share this enthusiasm with other like minded people who also feel a sense of pure joy and euphoria when spending time outdoors. I am a firm believer in that nature holds the solution to a calm and balanced mind, and that either walking, cycling, running or just simply taking the time to sit still and be present outdoors can relieve stress and worries. If you would like to see some pictures from our previous trips and events then tune in to my Instagram or Facebook account: * [Instragram](https://www.instagram.com/joinwanderlustwalks/) * [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/joinwanderlustwalks/) I hope some of my upcoming trips will trigger your wanderlust, and that youĀ“d like to join me in our wondrous nature, together with like-minded people who share your passion for being outdoors. I have added my contact details below; don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or just want to say hi! * Email: wanderlustwalks@yahoo.com * Web: [Linktr.ee](https://linktr.ee/joinwanderlustwalks) Hope to see you out there! -Monica-

Greater Social Life Union of Oslo

Oslo, no

Greater Social Life Union of Oslo

The Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

There are many steps on your journey to greater social life. Here are the first steps for members of GSLU. After reading the rest of this introduction, you should read the 2021 book The Guide to Thumoslang. Many of our members put this new knowledge into practice as suggested by The GSLU Handbook.

When you spend more time in damage control mode and less time benefiting from your various relations, you waste a great deal of effort in your social life. Such a cost of opportunity keeps you from going at high speed towards your ideals, in creating your ideal self, and in actualizing what you truly want to become. This is likely due to a lack of social clarity, which is essential for internal conversations and vital for meaningful relationships.

Unintentionally created in 2017, accidentally discovered in 2018, and first taught in 2019, Thumoslang is the nomenclature for social clarity. It is used as a language for faster communication, be it in complex collaboration or difficult conversation. The first widespread use of social clarity has been predicted by Thumoslang pioneers to be just as important as the first widespread control of fire. All is explained by The Guide to Thumoslang, which is backed by The Dictionary of Thumoslang.

Again, the Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

Your ideals are the same as your ideal self, which means what you truly want to become. "Everything else is secondary," said Steve Jobs. Our group activities involve you with the first practical steps in the further development of your ideals, in keeping others from interfering with your life, and in building a group of in-person friends who keep on encouraging you and nurturing your ideals. To be sure, if you lack social clarity in your internal conversations, face unwanted drama too often, are not sure of your social life or your path into the future, or have no friends and no groups available on a regular basis to help create your ideal self, this group is for you.

*** MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS ***

Our group activities bring you the following benefits:

Benefit 1 - Mastery of Relationships

As new GSLU members participate in the union's activities, they will quickly find themselves having noticeable enhancements in their social lives. The further they participate in GSLU activities, the faster they naturally acquire the mastery of relationships.

Benefit 2 - Best Friends for Your Ideals

Our group activities include practical steps in building a group of in-person friends who keep on encouraging you and nurturing your ideals.

Benefit 3 - Internal Dialogues More Effective

Thumoslang is a set of terminology whose use is intended to benefit one's clarity in social situations. Consequently, Thumoslang allows you to have clearer communication with yourself in your mind.

Benefit 4 - Meaningful Relationships Much Stronger

Our members use Thumoslang to mend or strengthen their existing relationships, build new relations, and achieve greater social life.

Benefit 5 - Faster Actualization of Your Ideals

The actualization of your ideals goes faster when it regularly involves your best group, which is the small group of in-person, second-mind friends who are the best for the nurturing of your ideals. Our activities help you speed up the actualization of your ideals by reducing social roadblocks and increasing social shortcuts in your life.

Hiking the Balkans-Oslo

Hiking the Balkans-Oslo

Take a trip with us to villages rarely visited by tourists and the peaks of the Balkan mountains. Enjoy white water rafting on the fast rivers, swimming in the blue seas and lakes and, in waterfalls and mountain lakes. Come skiing, dog sledging, snow shoeing and horse riding, and learn how to cook Balkan food. Led by certified local mountain guides, staying with local hosts who make the most delicious food, Hiking the Balkans is your gateway to an authentic Balkan experience.

Are you interested in hiking, mountaineering, open water swimming, white water rafting, kayaking, cycling and enjoying the outdoors? Do you want to discover new cultures and enjoy tasty organic food and home made dishes? If you have said yes to all, Hiking the Balkans is the right group for you.

The idea behind Hiking the Balkans is to promote the Balkan countries  to nature lovers who enjoy the outdoors and want to have first-hand experience of this fascinating region of Europe. All trips organised by Hiking the Balkans are developed by locals. All the food we eat is locally sourced and traditionally made.

We offer tailored, guided, small group culture and adventure trips to those interested in discovering the Balkans. We have chosen unique locations stretching from Croatia down to Bulgaria and Albania, including Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Greece and Macedonia. We will not put you on a bus and show you the whole of the Balkans in ten days, because that is not how we do things. But we can take you there again and again. As long as you want to come.

We are opening the gate to hiking amazing mountain ranges and stopping in villages for freshly baked bread. We are taking you across the Peaks of the Balkans, cross border hiking, to hidden waterfalls and mountain lakes where you can swim exclusively, without being surrounded by other tourists.

Our extensive knowledge of the Balkans enables us to offer authentic itineraries, very few of our trips are repeated, and we continuously tweak and modify them in the process of discovering new areas of interest.

Hiking the Balkans provides a real insight into the nine countries we are working in including their culture, history and nature and we give you an opportunity for genuine interaction with the locals.

Our local guides are internationally trained and licensed. We are also committed to assist young people from disadvantaged backgrounds originating from the Balkans to develop careers in mountain guiding in future.

We participate in annual activities for clearing up mountaineering paths, building natural shelters for mountaineers as well as marking new trails.
All our trips are guided and the maximum size of our groups is 18 participants.
You need to be relatively healthy and fit and be a regular walker in order to enjoy our trips. But most of all you need to have an open and curious mind and zest for life.

Here is what people who travelled before with us say about our trips:

" I have always been fascinated by the idea of travelling the Balkans, which history I had so little knowledge of. However, my work and life commitments hardly gave me any time to plan for a holiday. Back in May I joined the London European trip that Maja organised in Montenegro and a month later I had already booked my second and third trip. It's been a truly amazing experience to travel with someone who has such an incredible passion and knowledge about the history and politics of the region. I have been mesmerised by the gems this big region has to offer. There are mountains, sun, rivers, lakes and also a very sad past which scars are still fresh in the hearth of the people. I could breathe the authenticity in every place we've been. I highly recommend it! "
Stefano Palmerini

"I've been on three trips to the Balkans with this group and will go on a fourth in a few months. Each time was a fantastic experience with great people in amazing locations, guided by locals passionate about their country and its nature. One highlight of our last trip was being served coffee and AMAZING home-made bread and cheese by Albanian seasonal farmers on a forlorn foggy mountainside."
Carlo Teubner

"It has it all - stunning scenery, so many sites of historic interest, crystal clear water, tasty organic food and friendly locals. I would never have known how much there is to treasure in this area, without your carefully researched and selected trips, and I'd like to thank you for some of the best holidays I've been on."
Kuldip Singh

So come along and have an adventure of a lifetime with us.

Hackeriet
We are an autonomous hackerspace in Oslo. Over the years we communally built our space and network, both physically and socially, and we're lucky enough to be economically independent and free to decide over our facilities and plans according to our members desires and initiative. We hack playfully and spontaneously, sharing ideas, knowledge and tools: we find inspiration and cooperation through human interaction, and experience tells us that either it happens this way, by tuning in and having fun, or probably it won't happen, after all.Ā  What we do: free software, system administration, programming, information security, arduino/raspi hacking, electronics, professional audio, ham radio, lock picking, performance art, DIY, and crafting.Ā Our community is very curious and is also interested / engaged in wearables, mechanics, keyboards, fabrication, automatisation, creative recycling, socioeconomix, telecomix, heavy metal works, language wars, cipherpunk, cryptoparties, permaculture, social engineering, high and low voltage, robotics and data love. Usually we meet at our room at Hausmania, in Hausmanns gate 34. Everyone is welcome. Check out our website:Ā [https://hackeriet.no/](http://hackeriet.no/) A lot of our activity happens over internet relay chat: irc://irc.libera.chat/#oslohackerspace on Libera. Log in anytime for a chat... We are always awake! Check the topic to see if we are open or closed. We also always have Club Mate for sale at the space.
