Freedom Outdoors is a private group organized to provide an opportunity for our members to participate in health and fitness activities while in the great outdoors. Since this group is private, membership will be restricted to those who have received a personal invitation from the leadership team or from a current member. This group is for woman at least age 40 and up to about 60 who enjoy various physical activities such as walking the coast, ice skating, biking, hiking, taking a class, basically anything that gets you out and about. Being active is the main focus of the group, however, we will also have social events such as dinners, movies, wine nights, karaoke with dancing or any fun event you would like to suggest. I affectionately call this "Old Man Basketball" Its a half court game that takes a lot of the running out of it so that us older peeps can hang still. Though its called Old Man Basketball, its not relegated to Old men, or even just men, we have had some lady ballers to, but the name does give the gist that this is not for players in their Prime, or who are top tier players. Its designed to get a good run in, and have some fun doing it playing a game we love. I am hosting at my house on Tuesday nights. usually starting around 6:00. I have a lighted court so that we can play for a couple of hours no problem. I am looking to have enough interested players to make sure we have some good round robin 3 on 3, or 2 on 2 games regularly. No serious rules, just the basics, and subbing is no problem any time.

We are an off-road group full of off-road enthusiasts.  Any off-road capable vehicle is welcome.  We will have organized group rides as often as we can. We will explore the off-road adventures in San Diego County and surrounding areas.  Each ride will ideally have an experienced driver in the front and in the rear.  If you are up for either of these, please let us know.  You have to love the outdoors, have an off-road capable vehicle and love getting DIRTY!!! You are encouraged to have a CB, UHF radio, fire extinguisher and emergency supplies.  We are out in the wild and anything can happen!!!

This is for women (all women however not a lesbian group we are inclusive) only who love to camp with or without trailers, rv , you can join us tent camping too but we will usually are in a camp spot that has rv access. I love dogs too so my 2 dogs are great campers and go with me. I went from a Mini Drop trailer to a 21ft Lance trailer, and have been out there camping most of the time since . So how about joining me and this will be a unique group because it's all women. Of course you women can bring dogs but no guys and only adult female daughters on these trips. I got my inspiration from a group I camped with in Oregon this summer and we had a great time with all women doing the things we love outdoors. Every member should reserve their own spot unless you determine that you can share with tenters . Most spots will not take more than one rv, trailer. For weekend trips I like to plan on a Friday night Happy Hour then Saturday night potluck to bring us altogether.(observing COVID rules during this trying time) We can plan other activities depending on where we are camping. Always a nice fire for socializing unless not allowed. This spring and summer my trips have been to Joshua Tree Music Festival and William Heise County Park in May. June , Laguna Mtns.,and William Heise. July San Onofre beach , Seven Sisters Festival ,Monterey Blues Festival.August was Mammoth Beer and Blues Appalooza. From Mammoth , I made a trip up to La Pine state park in Oregon then back down through Lake Shasta, Monterey, Seal Beach  Then spent weekdays at Jalama Beach campground.  .I like to keep busy camping and if you want gals to join you on any of your camping events just let me know , you can be a hostess for one too.  LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE RETIRED OR HAVE WEEKDAYS OPEN TO CAMP , I LOVE TO BOOK THOSE!
