Sacramento Healing Circle Meetup Group
Join us under the light of the full moon and other sacred lunations for a nurturing gathering of community, song, and intention-setting! About Us: The Lunar Cacao Circle is a warm and welcoming group dedicated to celebrating the energy of the moon and the power of cacao. Each month, we come together to connect, share, and uplift one another through ritual, song, and spiritual practices. Our gatherings are designed to foster community, personal growth, and a deeper connection to the natural rhythms of life. What to Expect: Cacao Ceremony: Experience the heart-opening properties of ceremonial cacao as we prepare and share this sacred drink together. Song and Sound: Participate in uplifting songs, chants, and drumming to raise our collective energy and enhance our connection. Intention Setting: Take time to reflect on your goals and dreams, sharing your intentions for the lunar cycle with the group. Energy Clearing: Enjoy a space of renewal and clarity through guided practices, creating a harmonious environment for all. Who Can Join: All are welcome—whether you're new to spiritual practices or have years of experience. We embrace diversity and seek to create an inclusive, supportive environment for everyone. Where & When: We gather outdoors around a fire (or in a cozy indoor space) on the night of the full moon, new moon, and other significant spiritual days. Check our calendar for specific dates and locations! Come as you are! Bring an open heart, a blanket to sit on, and any snacks or offerings you’d like to share. We look forward to connecting and creating magic together!

Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Sierrans

Sacramento, CA

Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Sierrans
Welcome to the **Gay and Lesbian Sierrans (GLS)**, a friendly, relaxed LGBTQ+ group that enjoys outdoor adventures and camaraderie. Since 1996, we have offered a variety of outdoor activities such as day hikes of varying intensity, bike rides, camp trips and social gatherings. We are an "activity section" of the Sierra Club's Mother Lode chapter centered in Sacramento, CA. Our outings are led by Sierra Club certified leaders for your safety and enjoyment. We hope to encourage your participation in, and appreciation of the outdoors and help you make new friends in a comfortable atmosphere. There are generally no costs for outings, besides sharing expenses such as entrance or camping fees. All adults are welcome on our outings and you do not need to be a member of the Sierra Club, though we'd appreciate that (sierraclub.org , click "Join" at upper right).    We do not currently ask for GLS membership dues, but if you would like to help with a voluntary donation, it's easy to do online with just a credit card. Please go to **GLS's PayPal donation page**: [https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=RL7KUTEEHZGQL&source=url](https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=RL7KUTEEHZGQL&source=url) Thank you! Come hike with us! New to Sacramento? Sacramento native looking for new friends? Want to explore the town? This group is for you. We are a group of young adults. We host various social events in the Sacramento area, including film, theater, concerts, parties, outdoor activities, casual social gatherings, wine tours, tastings, sporting events, and other trendy activities. Lets get together and take over this city of ours. Want to be a host? Contact Jeff via message. ***Please read the House Rules*** 1\. Please do not come to the event without an RSVP AND YES\, WE DO NOTICE ORGANIZERS FROM DIFFERENT MEETUPS THAT COME TO OUR EVENTS\. (Lately, we've been getting meetup members and non-members attending our events unannounced and without an RSVP. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. It is frowned upon. In one event, in particular, a few of our members that RSVP'd were denied entrance because members and non-members took their spots. Attending our event without an RSVP could result in a ban whether you are a member of the group or a non-member. 2. ***RSVPing.*** Please update your RSVP a day prior to the event. Multiple ***No-Shows*** will result in the removal of membership. Some businesses charge a fee to the organizer for every no-show. 3. ***Cherry Picking*** A long-time practice that is done in Meetup but does not get discussed much is members (*males in particular*) who cherry-pick events. Organizers can recognize this by timestamp and when members (*females in particular*) change their RSVP to "can not attend" followed by another member (*males*) changing their RSVP based on that member's RSVPs. *Will this get you banned?* Most likely not but it is frowned upon and if done multiple times it can lead to the removal of this group. *Why do we do this?* It helps keep out the Meetup creepers and promotes a healthy Meetup culture. This meetup is not a meat market. We do not want to have a reputation as one. 4. ***Plus 1*** REMEMBER your "Plus 1" represents you. If your "Plus 1" is disrespectful to the group or any of the organizers then that reflects on you and can result in a ban of membership. 5. ***Multiple Plus 1*** PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. IT'S HIGHLY DISCOURAGED TO PREVENT MEETUP EVENT TAKEOVERS. When you join an event we intend to meet the person on the profile not you and 10 of your thirsty male friends. ***Follow Like & Share the Linktree @ linktr.ee/916Social***

Dog Lovers and Hiking Hounds of Sacramento

Sacramento, CA

Dog Lovers and Hiking Hounds of Sacramento
Welcome!   I started this group to provide opportunities for dogs and their owners to get outdoors together. Most events involve off leash time with your dog.  We are a friendly group of folks who love dogs and welcome new members! We are mainly a hiking group (with hikes of various distance and difficulty), but any dog-related activity is great and we especially welcome members who'd like to step up and organize events! Our meetup locations range from the local Sacramento area to the Sierras and anywhere in between! To check out the the group and our events please answer the profile questions, then we will approve you. \* All dog breeds are welcome as long as they behave appropriately with other dogs. People are welcome, with or without dogs, as long as they are dog lovers (you don't have to have a dog to join the group). We emphasize responsible dog ownership and our off-leash events are often limited in numbers to keep things under control and to represent our group well to others who share the trails. ***Prong/pinch and e-collars can create a negative association with other dogs and are not allowed at our events.***\* Please read our group guidelines below. Version 02-13-2022** **Disclaimer:** Each person who participates accepts responsibility for making determinations regarding their and their dog(s) safety, conduct and well-being; recognizes possible hazards attending outdoor activities; and accepts responsibility for all risks and liability associated with their and their dog(s) behavior. **Everyone:** * Please make sure your dog behaves appropriately.  This includes:  being aware of what your dog is doing at all times and making sure interactions are appropriate between dogs in the group (meaning dogs are not repeatedly harassing dogs who are not into playing,  etc.).  “Arguments” between dogs happen occasionally, but let’s be proactive and try to prevent any problems before they occur as much as we can.  Play is great as long as it's consensual! Your meetup organizer, Jodi Cassell is a fear free/positive reinforcement dog trainer, so if you are seeing any issues or have questions, please feel free to contact me. * **Prong/pinch and e-collars can create a negative association with other dogs and are not allowed at our events** (a front clip harness is a great alternative for dogs who pull on leash, etc.  Feel free to personal message Jodi Cassell for recommendations). * Know and adhere to Leave No Trace (LNT) at all times. Encouraging others to do so is appreciated.  ***Please carry bags and pick up after your dogs on all meetups!*** * Please be considerate of others during lunch and snack breaks – if your dog begs from other group members, better to keep them on leash and with you during food breaks.  This helps to prevent conflicts among dogs around food. * Passengers in carpools – Please reimburse the carpool driver $4 driver per hour driven. * ***If you have a question for a particular event that you signed up for or are running late, etc, you need to contact your "event host" who is listed at the top right of the list of attendees.  It will say "event host" under their name, but it's easy to miss.  Jodi (meetup organizer) does not organize or attend all events, so your question may go unanswered if you only contact her the day of and she is away.*** **Organizers:** * Post a detailed description of the meetup on the website.  ***Please also post a cell phone number so people can call you if they get lost, are running late, etc.*** * Please make certain that your attendees have responded “yes” to the group guidelines (under profile question #5 – click on the member to see their profile) prior to attending the meetup.  Contact them if they have not.  This is for your protection (although there are some generic protections provided by being a part of Meetup, most groups take his approach as well). **Participants** * Read the meetup description carefully.  Be prepared physically and bring the proper equipment and trail supplies necessary for the hike.  * If you RSVP yes please show-up. * Stay with your group or advise the hike leader if you need to alter your plans. * Rate your hike and provide a comment on your experience. * Contact your organizer / leader directly with any questions, comments or concerns. * Uploading and sharing pictures of your experience is appreciated. * Thank your host!  We are all volunteers and organization take effort and time – we need to appreciate folks who are willing to take on this task!
