Colorado Outdoors - Camping & Outdoor Activities
**Its all about having fun and getting away from routine life for a day, a weekend, weekdays, or even longer trips ...** We live in a fantastic location with the outdoors minutes away and outdoor activities and camping are some of the best ways to enjoy the splendor of the outdoors and our Mountains here in Colorado and around the country!   All of our trips, activities, events, etc will come from our members and organizers.  Everyone is encouraged to make suggestions and throw out ideas for planning our next activity, trip, or adventure!  Please note we are mostly limited to Colorado, however please do organize any area you want.   **Our camping trips will include a wide variety of camping types**: Backpacking, tent camping, car camping, pop-up tent trailers, and some places accessible by Camper or 5th wheel. Some of the trips may involve visiting established campgrounds with water, campfire rings, restroom facilities and fees (these trips will have a cost to help cover the site reservation costs). Other car camping trips may involve boondocking using unimproved campsites with no facilities but also no reservation fees or even where you can drive up to or at least very close to the actual campsite.   **We are Pet & children friendly**, in fact adults, kids and pets are normally invited to any trips/activities, but PLEASE read the description of each activity &/or trip for any specific information regarding kids & pets. Always contact the organizer for that trip, if you have any questions. Please note that pets are not allowed on some trails or in some areas. Many improved locations or state parks in Colorado require that your pet be leashed/restrained at all times.   **We are not only about camping** ... outdoors activities, longer trips, day hikes, rock climbing, fishing, mountain biking, skiing, road trips, and more in Colorado or around the country are all open events if you are interested! We hope you will join us in our exploration of outdoors here in Colorado and elsewhere. We always welcome more events and the organizers to plan and lead trips ... so anyone who has plans can post their ideas on the message board, or contact the leadership team and we can designate you the host, if you want to plan something.   **What is Boondocking?** For our purposes we defining boondocking as: when you camp for FREE somewhere with NO hookups (without amenities) and NOT in a campground ... which means there are NO Toilet facilities (outhouse or otherwise) are provided.   This is also sometimes called Dry Camping ...   Yes, we do understand that Boondocking may not really be the best term, but it has somehow come into 'common use' in camping & RV circles.  So we are using it with the above meaning :o)  You are welcome to bring 'toilet' facilities ... there are many types of commercial and homemade options used for Boondocking ...

Denver Outdoor Adventures

Denver, CO

Denver Outdoor Adventures
Let's get out and enjoy the great outdoors! This group is NOT for beginners with little cardio nor speedsters with big egos. These adventures are INTERMEDIATE level and focused on fun, friendships, and sharing our love the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Types of Adventures We Plan \- Road/gravel/mountain biking \- Hiking and bagging 14ers \- Snowboarding \(Epic\) \- Kayaking / SUP \- Camping \- Nature Photography Adventures will be mostly around the Denver Metro area, but we will also plan adventures within several hours drive (i.e Buffalo Creek, Crested Butte, Monarch Pass, etc) in addition to several destination adventures a year (i.e Moab, Sedona, etc). You need to be in good physical condition for these activities to be fun. We like to challenge ourselves, but don't take ourselves too seriously. Riding Expect an average pace of 14-17 mph on the road and 6-10 mph off road. If this is too fast or too slow for you please find a different group. If you're honest about your fitness and skill level and are a true INTERMEDIATE rider, this is a NO DROP group. If for whatever reason you can't hang, we'll make an exit strategy for you but will not just ditch you. Snowboarding/Skiing We generally target first lift and start to head home around 1-2. Average 12-16 runs. Carpool options available. We are not speedsters, but by no means slow. Most of us are strong intermediate skill level. 14ers We start EARLY!! 15 and counting. Great adventures! We target about 3 a season (July - Sept). Kayaking / SUP -- Newer sport for me and would like to find others to learn from and find new places to explore. I have a whitewater inflatable kayak and would LOVE to find some good river sections to explore. All adventurers must be self-sufficient (i.e. carry tools, tubes, food/water, proper gear, and be able to fix a flat, etc.). All adventurers are expected to wear proper helmets (required) on all rides. Gloves, eye protection, and sunscreen are recommended (optional). Some adventures are in extreme conditions (high, elevation, vertical feet, heat, cold, poor weather, etc.) and you are expected to be conditioned and prepared for the conditions. If you have questions or are unsure, PLEASE DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND/OR ASK me well in advance so that you can be properly prepared for a good experience. Do not expect other adventurers to care for you; YOU MUST BE FULLY PREPARED FOR EVERY ADVENTURE. Absolutely no tolerance for prejudiced, violent, and/or unlawful behavior. Inclusion, respect, and honesty are core values and expected from everyone. Violators will be warned and/or removed. Please read the necessary CYA info below. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- DISCLAIMER: "Denver Outdoor Adventures” and its event organizers (“the “Organizers”) are not responsible for your safety and/or well-being. 30s and 40s+ Friends & Activities

Denver, CO

30s and 40s+ Friends & Activities
This is a group for people, from all walks of life, to get together for any and all fun activities. The purpose of this group is to make opportunities to meet and make friends and grow that friendship by sharing interesting experiences. Before requesting to join, you must have read the Group Policy below. Your request may be denied if you do not have the correct answers. If you have an idea for a meetup or would like to help organize one, please let the organizers know and we'll set you up! Any donations/pledges will be used exclusively for group events. **GROUP POLICY:** **THE "NO A--HOLE" POLICY:** It is important that we all show respect for each other and be accepting of who we are, as we are. Many of the events will involve meeting new people. And we want to encourage people trying to make connections. However, it is really important that we do not project ourselves in manners such that we make others feel uncomfortable and/or threatened. Also, keep in mind that not all of the members are single or looking to find relationships. We come from different backgrounds with differing world views and experiences. Please respect their wishes and embrace the differences. **Our "no a--hole" policy will be strictly enforced and violators will promptly get *THE BOOT.*** If you are ever in an uncomfortable situation at one of the events, or from any member of this group, please let the organizers or the event host know. **PROFILE NAME/PHOTO POLICY:** 1. You must have your profile photo that clearly shows your face. 2. You must have your profile name set to a real name. * The name doesn't have to be full name, but it must be a real name that your friends/kids/family call you. 3. The answer is "**bananas**". **NO-SHOW POLICY:** Please keep your RSVPs current. We all understand life happens and things get chaotic but the organizers reserve the right to remove you from event/group for abusing RSVPs. 1. RSVPs cancelled within 24 hours of the event will be considered a "no-show". * It is unfair for those in waitlist to be suddenly put into Going list with less than 24 hour notice, especially for ticketed events. * It is up to the event organizer to flag no-shows, so please contact the organizer for last minute changes. 2. Last minute addition from Waitlist will still be considered a "no-show". Keep your RSVPs current, even for waitlisted events!!!! Remove yourself from the waitlist if you are not able to honor the last minute addition to the event. 3. Please only RSVP to events that you fully intend to attend. You can use Meetup's saved events feature to bookmark the event without signing up. **Abusing the RSVPs is grounds for removal from event/group without notice** . 4. Organizers will actively track "no-shows" and last minute cancellations and you are not guaranteed a spot for future events. 5. Do not RSVP to ticketed events until you have secured a ticket. Remove yourself from waitlist to sold out events. 6. The answer is "**pineapple**"
