Whether you join to meet new people, explore new activities, get exercise, lose weight, gain more energy or just as an alternative to sitting on the couch, you've got a place here!!

If you love getting outdoors or are looking for a place to start then this group is for you! Whether you're a beginner, seasoned expert, or anyone in between, all participants are welcome! We will be exploring all types of outdoor activities and meet like-minded individuals! Our mission is to introduce outdoor activities in a safe atmosphere to anyone who wants to try something new. All programs are led by our seasoned professionals. Women Outdoors, Inc. is a national, nonprofit, all-volunteer organization founded in 1980 to: Promote wilderness activities and competency in the out-of-doors; Develop and provide focus for a network of women who share a common interest in the out-of-doors; Serve as an educational clearinghouse, resource and support base for women taking leadership roles in the outdoors; Encourage an integrated environmentally-conscious lifestyle; and Support policies that preserve the earth’s natural resources and promote a strong environmental ethic and conservation practices. Welcome Nature Lovers! Sierra Club Connecticut's Outing and Military Outdoors program seeks to connect folks to the healing power of nature and to each other. And in the process, create a new generation of environmental champions, ready to help protect the beautiful spaces and places we explore. Access to nature is a human right. But unfortunately, this access is inequitable and unattainable. We seek to alleviate that gap and create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space here in Connecticut for all people. This group connects your passion for animals, people and the planet with opportunities to become an "everyday activist" in all that you do. We will meet to offer support and camaraderie and learn about veganism, ideally with the intention of inspiring others to join our community. Our get togethers may include discussions of inspirational and educational books and documentaries, vegan potlucks and recipe swaps, health and wellness lectures, cooking workshops, film screenings, garden tours, outdoor activities and hikes, meditation and yoga techniques, and vegan dining out. The Mosaic Outdoor Chapter of Hartford is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Jewish people together to enjoy and foster a greater appreciation of the outdoors. Premier hiking season in CT is upon us! This group combines nature, exercise, and mindfulness skills to highlight the importance of health and overall well-being. Join us as we explore CT as a group to try and benefit from the healing properties of being grounded in the outdoors. This group is not intended to treat any mental health or medical condition. It's easy to search for local resources on Google. CT is a small state but has lots of great local hiking spots. The group is always open to suggestions of your favorite place/guesting hosting some hikes.

Whether you're new to Connecticut or have always been here, you've heard there's nothing to do in the state, but there's actually a lot of hidden gems. This is an activities-based social group for people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. We'll be doing a variety of activities, so there should be something that everyone can enjoy! **Event No-Show Policy:** If you're RSVP'd to an event and are unable to attend for any reason, please change your RSVP, post in the event, or send the event host a message. Failure to notify the event host prior to the event start time will be noted, which several consecutive no-shows may result in your removal from the group. In addition, if an event has an attendance cap, with people on the waiting list, at least a 24-hour notice is required. Any notice less than 24-hours will be considered a no-show. However, if a reservation was made, a no-show or less than a 4-hour notice may cause your immediate removal from the group.

The goal is to blend fitness with the latest social activities in CT, explore different cities, and discover great local food spots. With fall upon us, it’s the perfect time to check out local fairs and try activities like bowling and axe throwing. If you’re up for staying active and enjoying some delicious local eats, join us!

Hi There, Singles Social Connections' goal is to give singles the opportunity to have fun and increase their circle of friends. We sponsor numerous activities such as dances, house parties, walks, and picnics. We offer a relaxed, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for you and other singles to socialize and have fun. Many singles attend events as we also advertise in newspapers and other singles venues. You'll find that we are an intelligent, friendly, fun loving group of singles in our late 40's, 50's, and 60's. Many other singles attend events besides the Meetup members that respond. This is because we also advertise our activities in newspapers and have our flyers at other single events in the area. Come join us at one of our events and find out for yourself! Annual dues are $40 and the club’s membership year is from January 1st to December 31st. It includes reduced event fees and emails on upcoming events. You do not have to pay membership dues to come to any event. If someone reserves for an event and does not show up or cancel, a 'No Show' will be put after their name. The number of 'No Shows' will appear after their name for other organizers to see when they are scheduling an event. Once someone has 3 'No Shows,' they will be blocked from attending any Singles Social Connections' future events. So, please cancel your reservation ASAP when you find that you cannot attend an event.
