The West Hartford Anime Club is a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible space for adults interested in anime and manga to come together and share their passions. Whether you're new to the fandom or a seasoned fan, you're invited to join us! There’s no need to commit or register in advance—drop in anytime, and feel free to stay as long as you like. What Do We Do? This isn’t your typical anime club where we just chat or watch shows. Each meeting offers a unique experience from the last with a rotating schedule of anime-themed events. Our events include movie days, seasonal anime previews, presentations, and game days featuring activities like anime Pictionary, Jeopardy, tournament brackets, and music quizzes. And these are just a few of the events and games we do, but there are many more! Whether you're just getting into anime or have been a fan for years, you're guaranteed to have a great time. I have always enjoyed team sports and group activities and am guessing you do too! I started this group to bring people together who proactively live life. We will be exploring all types of outdoor activities and meet like-minded individuals! Our mission is to introduce outdoor activities in a safe atmosphere to anyone who wants to try something new. All programs are led by our seasoned professionals. We will meet to offer support and camaraderie and learn about veganism, ideally with the intention of inspiring others to join our community. Our get togethers may include discussions of inspirational and educational books and documentaries, vegan potlucks and recipe swaps, health and wellness lectures, cooking workshops, film screenings, garden tours, outdoor activities and hikes, meditation and yoga techniques, and vegan dining out. Premier hiking season in CT is upon us! This group combines nature, exercise, and mindfulness skills to highlight the importance of health and overall well-being. Join us as we explore CT as a group to try and benefit from the healing properties of being grounded in the outdoors. This group is not intended to treat any mental health or medical condition. It's easy to search for local resources on Google. CT is a small state but has lots of great local hiking spots. The group is always open to suggestions of your favorite place/guesting hosting some hikes.

Hi There, Singles Social Connections' goal is to give singles the opportunity to have fun and increase their circle of friends. We sponsor numerous activities such as dances, house parties, walks, and picnics. We offer a relaxed, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for you and other singles to socialize and have fun. Many singles attend events as we also advertise in newspapers and other singles venues. You'll find that we are an intelligent, friendly, fun loving group of singles in our late 40's, 50's, and 60's. Many other singles attend events besides the Meetup members that respond. This is because we also advertise our activities in newspapers and have our flyers at other single events in the area. Come join us at one of our events and find out for yourself! Annual dues are $40 and the club’s membership year is from January 1st to December 31st. It includes reduced event fees and emails on upcoming events. You do not have to pay membership dues to come to any event. If someone reserves for an event and does not show up or cancel, a 'No Show' will be put after their name. The number of 'No Shows' will appear after their name for other organizers to see when they are scheduling an event. Once someone has 3 'No Shows,' they will be blocked from attending any Singles Social Connections' future events. So, please cancel your reservation ASAP when you find that you cannot attend an event. Whether you're new to Connecticut or have always been here, you've heard there's nothing to do in the state, but there's actually a lot of hidden gems. This is an activities-based social group for people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. We'll be doing a variety of activities, so there should be something that everyone can enjoy! **Event No-Show Policy:** If you're RSVP'd to an event and are unable to attend for any reason, please change your RSVP, post in the event, or send the event host a message. Failure to notify the event host prior to the event start time will be noted, which several consecutive no-shows may result in your removal from the group. In addition, if an event has an attendance cap, with people on the waiting list, at least a 24-hour notice is required. Any notice less than 24-hours will be considered a no-show. However, if a reservation was made, a no-show or less than a 4-hour notice may cause your immediate removal from the group.

There isn't anything like relaxing at the end of the week with friends and just having a great get together. We are a group of interesting single men and woman, curious, attractive singles 55 and older looking to enjoy a Happy Hour at the end of the week along with cultural events ranging from the arts to perhaps self improvement. We do not say no to learning new things for when you say no, you do not learn anything new. We will offer thought provoking activities to expand your interests and help you form different views on many subjects. We will be lighthearted and joyful and always happy to meet and greet new people.  We are open to suggestions from our members along with their assistance in finding activities for our group. We can only succeed with the help of each other. Always open for another member to be a host for an activity that is of interest to them. You will have a 30 day free trial period and the end of the trial period if you decide not to become a paid member you will be removed by Meetup. If a paid member is removed due to excessive "no shows" or due to behavior not in line with our values their yearly $15.00 membership will not be refunded. Hopefully this will never arise.  Plus, if I feel a prospective member or member is not a good fit I will remove them from the group. It is our wish that you will join and be an active participating member. The more diverse we are the more interesting we will become.  If a member is deemed not a good fit either by words or deeds they will automatically be removed and banned from the group. Everyone has the 30 day free trial payment will have to be made to me prior to the end of the 30 day trail because after that time period Meetup will automatically remove you and I will not be able to find you. Also, if you attend one function and then decide to attend a second function within the 30 day free trial you will know by then if you care to join and payment will be expected in the amount $15.00 yearly dues and please don't have me have to ask you as it is embarrassing for me. Please make all future membership payments in the amount of $15.00 directly to me in cash. Payment with a credit card will no longer be excepted as dealing with Stripe the company who over sees payments has become too difficult to deal with. If anyone has not seen this information and pays with a credit card I will refund you and you will be required to make membership dues in cash.
