Progressives Paying Forward in Worcester County

Worcester, MA

Progressives Paying Forward in Worcester County

This meetup is designed for Worcester area individuals that have a desire to give back to our community. It is not in our nature to place blame, fault or judgement on others in need, but rather to extend a helping hand. If you wish to join us in our efforts to "give back" in the community, you're welcome to join this meetup. Our members and organizers plan fun events in and around Worcester county and use these moments to perform random acts of kindness.

We may do a sock drive at fall chili cook-off to collect socks before winter sets in and donate them to the local veterans shelter, a summer BBQ may include a non-perishable donation for the local food bank, etc.  Any membership fees collected that exceed the Meetup website dues will be contributed locally, after group discussion.

We welcome all ideas, and organizational planning is open to all. The progressive mindset of our group also provides a comfortable place to share our thoughts and information with like minded people. This includes support of political policies on the local, state and national level. Our shared ideals circle around the voting practices of helping people, rather than banks. Like Elizabeth Warren, we do not agree that corporations are people, and support her in her efforts to support real people, real families.

Support of progressive politics may flow into meetup activities including campaign support or celebratory gatherings after a progressive win!  We are all about productivity and forward progression.  If this group is not for you, we appreciate your respect and hope you find something that better meets your personal ideals.  If this group aligns with your progressive desire to "pay it forward" and political standings that support compassion and tolerance, sign up!  We look forward to meeting you!
