FLORIDA TRAIL ASSOCIATION-Suncoast Chapter

Palm Harbor, FL

FLORIDA TRAIL ASSOCIATION-Suncoast Chapter
June 4th, 2021 This group is operated by the Florida Trail Association. We are a community who love to get outdoors to hike, backpack, paddle, and give back by way of volunteer trail maintenance.  Joining this Meetup does not constitute membership in the FTA and unless specifically mentioned, you are not required to hold an FTA membership to participate. Events which are FTA Members Only will be clearly indicated. The Suncoast Chapter serves over 500 FTA members in Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties. We maintain The Florida National Scenic Trail between US 98 north of Lakeland and Hernando. Find out more about the FTA Suncoast chapter at [https://sites.google.com/floridatrail.org/suncoastfta/](https://sites.google.com/floridatrail.org/suncoastfta/). Within these boundaries we also maintain a section of the Florida Trail Western Corridor which encompasses the Citrus, Croom, Richloam Tracts within Withlacoochee State Forest, and Green Swamp West, as well as popular loop trails within these tracts.  [https://floridatrail.org/maps-and-databook/](https://floridatrail.org/maps-and-databook/) Trail systems that we also are responsible for include Hillsborough River State Park, Little Manatee State Park, Myakka River State Park, Potts Preserve, Upper Hillsborough WMA, Terra Ceia Preserve State Park, and Withlacoochee River Park.  Our chapter regularly maintains over 200 miles of trail and offers recreational and volunteer work events throughout the region. We work in cooperation with the US Forest Service, State Forest Service, SWFWMD, DEP, and other land managers to keep the Florida National Scenic Trail, the Western Corridor, and designated side trails open for recreational use. We sponsor many events on non FTA designated land tracts, trail systems and waterways. **ASSUMPTION OF RISK** Certain risks are inherent in any Florida Trail Association, Inc (the "Association") activity. Each Association member, guest, or non-member participant agrees to accept personal responsibility for his or her safety, and the safety of minors accompanying such persons. Heartwood Preserve Tours & Events

New Port Richey, FL

Heartwood Preserve Tours & Events
Join us at Heartwood Preserve Conservation Cemetery for free activities and tours. Events vary, but focus on nature education, meditation, and healing movement. Most events are hybrid indoor-outdoor. Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing, and sun protection. The nature preserve and cemetery have well-maintained footpaths but are still part of Wild Florida--prepare for uneven terrain, a hot and humid climate, sharp saw palmetto leaves, and mosquitos. *Amenities provided at the Heartwood Preserve Welcome Center:* * Water fountain and water bottle refill station * Restrooms * Air conditioning * Chairs * Sunscreen * Bug repellant * Paper fans It is our goal to reduce our reliance on single-use plastics at the Welcome Center. We have glassware and paper cups available if you do not have a reusable water bottle to bring with you. Notify staff if you will require the use of our golf cart for transportation within the preserve. We are happy to make accommodations as necessary for accessibility. Please note that only certified, on-duty service animals are allowed at Heartwood Preserve events. Even the most well-behaved pets can be a distraction to others. On occasion, Heartwood Preserve hosts events that feature wild animals; for the safety of our guest fauna and your furry friends, we recommend leaving pets at home. **Please reach out with questions!** **Call us:** 727-376-5111 [www.heartwoodpreserve.com](https://heartwoodpreserve.com/)

International Ladies Club (ILC)

Palm Harbor, FL

International Ladies Club (ILC)
The International Ladies Club (ILC) is a Meetup group for women who were born outside of the United States, grew up outside of the United States, speak English as a second language, and now live in the Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Clearwater and Tampa area. If you live in an area that is not mentioned but are willing to drive you are also welcome to join us. If you are a woman born in a foreign country and lived most of your life abroad this is the group for you. Our group is for women who are interested in making new friends, sharing each others cultures, foods, and just having friends to socialize with. There is no need to be shy, we will make you feel welcomed and accepted the very first time you attend one of our Meetup events.  We currently have members from over 35 countries from all over the world. This is not your average "let's meet up for coffee" type of group. Although we enjoy a great brunch every now and then, we schedule many fun events and try to include something for everyone. ***Sharing our stories in a circle where you trust the people around you is more powerful than one could imagine. This group gives you the boost we all need! \*\*\*\*\****  We are an active group and will schedule various types of Meetup events each month for our members. We meet at each others houses, we meet for coffee, lunches, dinner, walk in parks/beach etc. and anything our ladies suggest. To remain an active member of the ILC, we require all members to attend at least one meetup event every two months. New members should attend their first meetup within the 1st month of joining for a chance to meet everyone. So many great friendships have already been made and are still in the making. Being an active member simply means that we know one another and feel safe when we meet up. We look forward to meeting you soon!!! ===MEMBERSHIP DUES=== Membership dues are $12 per year paid through December of the current year.
